Urban Martial Saint

The young girl coughed a few times, desperately holding back the blood that was about to spurt from her throat, and said angrily, ”If you want to kill me, just do it, why all the pointless talk? I’m not your match today, I admit my defeat. But someone will claim that thirty million for me!”

”Hey, you little thing, you’re not old, but you sure have a temper!” Black Bear bellowed, ”Are you going to talk or not? If you don’t, believe it or not, I’ll spank you!”

”You… you wouldn’t dare…” The young girl was somewhat afraid. She wasn’t scared of being killed, but being spanked would be a great humiliation.

”What wouldn’t I dare? When I’m at home, if my little sister doesn’t behave, I spank her!” Black Bear said and was about to take action when Ye Qing stopped him.

”If you don’t want to talk, then forget it, I won’t kill you!” Ye Qing looked at the young girl and said, ”However, convey a message to your elders for me. Just because I don’t want to kill you, given your age, doesn’t mean I’m kind. If someone comes for me again, I won’t show any mercy!”

The young girl said indignantly, ”Don’t get too cocky. I’m just not skilled enough. If my eldest senior brother came, you wouldn’t have enough lives for him to take!”

”Then I’ll be waiting for him!” Ye Qing stood up, waved his hand, and said, ”Xiong Zi, let’s go!”

”Don’t you dare leave!” The young girl shouted, ”Give me back my stuff.”

Ye Qing shook the long rope in his hand and said, ”You mean this?”

”No kidding, what else could it be!” The young girl glared and said, ”Give it back to me now!”

”Sorry, but I can’t return this to you!” Ye Qing simply put the long rope into his pocket.

The young girl immediately became anxious and said, ”You… you scoundrel, you’re robbing me!”

”Call it whatever you want, I’m not giving this back to you!” Ye Qing, without giving her another glance, walked away with Black Bear.

”Hey, hey, give me back my thing, give it back to me now, or I’ll kill you! Hey! Hey! That’s my Tianshan Ice Silkworm Silk, you rogue, even robbing a child’s belonging…”

The young girl shouted and screamed behind them, but Ye Qing didn’t look back even once. He wasn’t a fool; he knew that rope was no ordinary item as soon as he had been bound by it. It had almost cost him his life at the hands of the young girl. He didn’t want to face such a situation again; hence keeping the rope in his pocket was a form of insurance for his life.

”Tianshan Ice Silkworm Silk, sounds quite formidable!” Black Bear played with the long rope and marveled, ”This thing is really tough, I can’t even tear it. Truly a treasure!”

Ye Qing looked at the rope, but his thoughts were on something else. Earlier, when he failed to kick the young girl and jumped on one foot, it was purely out of desperation. He had only intended to jump up about ten or twenty centimeters to avoid the knife and save his life.

Unexpectedly, he had leaped nearly half a meter high on one foot, way beyond his expectations, and had shattered his previous record for a one-footed jump!

Moreover, when Ye Qing had spun around and bumped into the young girl earlier, he hadn’t used much strength. Yet, the young girl had been sent flying so far, which was also beyond his expectations. Ye Qing didn’t understand why he had suddenly become so much stronger; what on earth was going on?

Ye Qing and Black Bear ran for over ten miles and found a place to rest in another forest. Ye Qing didn’t lie down; instead, he sat cross-legged and started his Breathing and Meditation, circulating his Internal Breath.

The moment his Internal Breath started to flow, Ye Qing realized something was wrong. Previously, even though he had Internal Breath in his body, all his Acupoints were closed, making it difficult for the breath to circulate. But this time, many of his Acupoints felt open, and the circulation was much faster than usual.

He achieved his usual training effect in half the time of his normal practice, which astonished him.

It seemed that his sudden increase in strength was connected to his Acupoints opening up gradually. His Inner Strength was finally starting to manifest, a sign that his Neijia Kung Fu had reached a minor level of proficiency!

The last time, Ye Qing nearly lost his life when he forcibly broke through his Acupoints to save someone. But now, his Acupoints had opened on their own, filling Ye Qing with amazement and wonder. What on earth had caused this?

Thinking it over, Ye Qing suddenly remembered the incident at Zihe Hotel, where Ou Keren had pierced his Acupoints with a steel needle. Although Ye Qing had been unconscious at the time, he came to his senses soon after the needle was inserted and could perceive his surroundings and the sensation of the needle entering his body.

Reflecting on it now, the gradual opening up of his Acupoints might be due to the forceful method used by Ou Keren. It was a method of forcefully breaking open Acupoints with external force, something mentioned in the Acupoint Seeking Technique. This approach was extremely dangerous unless a special method was used; any carelessness could lead to complete paralysis!

So, did Ou Keren have some special technique?

Ye Qing knew that Ou Keren was well-versed in human Acupoints, and her attacks were mainly aimed at the opponent’s Acupoints. However, he hadn’t expected that she had such a method to forcefully open Acupoints – truly remarkable. And he had benefited from misfortune, as his strength had at least increased by thirty percent from before!

On the other hand, the young girl had shouted several times to no avail and knew her Tianshan Ice Silkworm Silk couldn’t be reclaimed. Pouting with frustration, she had sneaked out behind the Lady Boss’s back, intending to kill Ye Qing and claim credit on her return.

But instead of killing her target, she got injured herself and had her weapon confiscated – it was the most bitter defeat she had ever faced in her life.

Her body was still in severe pain, and blood was stirring in her throat, threatening to surge out at any moment. The young girl didn’t dare make any rash moves; she sat on the ground and slowly regulated her breath, waiting for her body to recover somewhat before she could leave.

Just then, out of the darkness, three men suddenly emerged. The leader was none other than Bai Liangcai, and the other two were his assistants.

The little girl managed to find Ye Qing, a feat largely attributable to Bai Liangcai’s efforts. This private detective did have some real skills when it came to locating people. After the little girl sneaked out, she found Bai Liangcai and forced him to take her to Ye Qing.

Just now, Bai Liangcai and his two men had hidden in a dark corner, hoping to witness the little girl kill Ye Qing. However, he hadn’t expected that Ye Qing would be so fierce and astute. Not only had the little girl failed to deceive him, but she had also been injured by him.

From his hiding place, he watched Ye Qing and Black Bear leave, not daring to even breathe loudly. He continued to hide and, seeing that the little girl didn’t move for a long time, he was pretty certain she was seriously injured and completely unable to move. After all, he had seen her being knocked flying!

Bai Liangcai approached the little girl with his two assistants, carefully observing her for a while before whispering cautiously, ”Miss, how... how are you?”

He was still fearful of the little girl, so he spoke very respectfully.

”I’m fine, just come over and help me up!” The little girl’s voice was somewhat weak; her injuries were indeed serious.

”Help you? You can’t even stand up by yourself?” A fierce look crossed Bai Liangcai’s face as he sneered, ”It seems you’re no match for Ye Qing!”

”Nonsense!” snapped the little girl, rolling her eyes and saying, ”So what if I can’t beat him? When my eldest senior brother comes back, I’ll let him personally kill Ye Qing. No matter how capable he is, can he still be a match for my eldest senior brother?”

”Having an eldest senior brother is great, he can back you up!” Bai Liangcai clucked his tongue and lamented, ”However, if he’s coming back to avenge you, I suppose he’ll fight with even more strength!”

”What do you mean?” The little girl furrowed her brow, only now noticing the viciousness on Bai Liangcai’s face.

Bai Liangcai chuckled coldly, ”If you were to die, I suppose not only your eldest senior brother but also your master would return to kill Ye Qing at all costs!”

”You want to kill me?” The color drained from the little girl’s face as she said solemnly, ”Bai Liangcai, aren’t you afraid of my master and senior brother seeking revenge on you?”

”Why should I be afraid!” Bai Liangcai chuckled coldly and said, ”You came out to kill Ye Qing, but couldn’t do it, and ended up being killed by Ye Qing instead. What does this whole affair have to do with me, Bai Liangcai?”

”You... you’re so despicable, framing him for this!” the little girl shouted angrily.

”You’re quite right!” Bai Liangcai looked at the little girl with icy amusement and said, ”Here, everyone will think it was Ye Qing who killed you. Who would suspect that I, Bai Liangcai, was involved?”

”You villain!” The little girl gritted her teeth and roared, ”I have no grudges with you, why do you want to kill me?”

”We have no grudges?” Bai Liangcai gritted his teeth and said, ”Do you think my five hundred thousand is that easy to take? To take Bai Liangcai’s money, you must pay a price. Five hundred thousand for your life, it’s worth it!”

The little girl slowly nodded and said, ”Five hundred thousand, enough to buy the lives of you three as well!”

”How laughable, boasting even at the brink of death!” Bai Liangcai drew a dagger from his waist and took deliberate steps toward the little girl, his face twisted with malice, ”You wretched thing, go to hell!”

He approached the little girl, ready to plunge the dagger down. But as his hand was halfway lifted, he suddenly froze.

”Boss? Boss?” The two assistants were shocked, not understanding what had happened to Bai Liangcai.

At that moment, Bai Liangcai slowly fell to the ground, a large swath of his chest soaked red. His eyes were wide open, filled with inconceivable terror.

In the little girl’s hand was a thin, cicada-wing short dagger, dripping with blood to the ground, drop by drop.

”I might be wounded, but that doesn’t mean you can swagger around in front of me!” The little girl gripped the short dagger tightly, rising to her feet slowly, her cold gaze falling on Bai Liangcai’s two assistants as she said chillingly, ”What’s it going to be? Do you two want to die with him, or do you want to live?

If you want to live, get out of my sight immediately, and don’t sully Miss’s eyes with your presence!”

The two assistants, terrified, scurried away in a comical panic.

Watching the two men flee into the distance, the blood the little girl had been holding back at her throat finally burst forth. She collapsed to the ground, her earlier defiance a mere act, as she too was almost at her limit.
