Urban Martial Saint

Hao Chen was released by Ye Qing and immediately signaled to his subordinate to shoot at Ye Qing. Therefore, as Hao Chen stepped back, he followed by rolling on the ground, trying to get as far away from Ye Qing as possible.

The subordinate Hao Chen had brought with him was also considered skilled in marksmanship at the provincial office. Once Hao Chen and Ye Qing had moved apart, he was confident enough to kill Ye Qing. He aimed at Ye Qing, who suddenly rolled forward and tossed a glass bottle in his hand toward him.

A gunshot rang out, followed by a heart-wrenching scream. However, the person screaming was not Ye Qing but Hao Chen’s subordinate.

The wrist of his gun-holding hand was pierced directly by the glass bottle, blood flowing down to the ground, and he could no longer hold the gun steady, clutching his wrist and screaming painfully. The bullet he fired only kicked up a patch of dust on the ground and didn’t hit anyone.

This sudden turn of events stunned the onlookers, but Ye Qing did not hesitate. He leaped up from the ground and rushed to another of Hao Chen’s subordinates. As the subordinate was about to draw his gun, Ye Qing had already grabbed his wrist, twisted it forcefully, and dislocated it, causing the gun to drop to the ground.

Ye Qing kicked him away and then turned to give Hao Chen a cold stare.

Hao Chen had never imagined Ye Qing was capable of such strength. His two armed subordinates were brought down neatly by Ye Qing; in front of Ye Qing, they were like children, utterly incapable of resisting.

Looking into Ye Qing’s icy eyes, Hao Chen trembled all over, hurriedly waving his hands and shaking his head, stammering, ”Mr. Ye… please listen to me, this… this has nothing to do with me, it wasn’t me… it wasn’t me who ordered them, I... I couldn’t stop them in time…”

”Bullshit, you think I didn’t see you signaling them?” Zhao Chengshuang roared angrily, ”Hao Chen, you despicable wretch! Ye spared your life, and you wanted his. Bastard, you truly deserve to die!”

”Captain Guan, your actions are quite despicable!” Ou Keren also frowned and said, ”Ye, don’t be angry. I will include this incident in the report after this cooperation ends, and I will ensure the Eastern Province police give you a satisfactory response.”

Seeing Ye Qing’s aggressive look, Zhao Chengshuang quickly said, ”Ye Zi, don’t be impulsive. Miss Ou and I will report this for you, you don’t have to worry about it yourself. He after all represents the provincial office, and you…”

Ye Qing completely ignored his words and picked up the handgun on the ground, aiming it directly at Hao Chen.

”Ye, please don’t!” Ou Keren exclaimed.

”Ye Zi...” Zhao Chengshuang had just spoken a few words when Ye Qing fired the trigger repeatedly, discharging several bullets.

Listening to the consecutive gunshots, Zhao Chengshuang and Ou Keren were shocked. No matter what Hao Chen had done, he was still a man from the provincial office, with a powerful father backing him. If Ye Qing killed him, he would cause immense trouble. Not just in Eastern Province, probably the whole of Huaxia wouldn’t have a place for Ye Qing anymore!

”Ah woo woo woo...” A terrified cry had them coming back to their senses. Turning their heads, they saw Hao Chen covering his head and sobbing continuously. Around him, six bullets were neatly arranged in a circle, enclosing him. These bullets, the closest being less than ten centimeters away, were not easy to manage, especially since he was moving!

Hao Chen thought he was already dead, crying out loud, his legs also soaking wet, apparently frightened to the point of wetting himself.

Ou Keren slightly furrowed her brows, covered her mouth and nose with one hand, and walked a bit farther away. Zhao Chengshuang turned his head in astonishment, looking at Ye Qing for a long while before exclaiming, ”Ye Zi, your marksmanship is as good as mine.”

”Captain Zhao, there should be quite a few people not below you,” Ou Keren retorted sarcastically, turning to Ye Qing with a smile, ”Ye, your shooting is really accurate. You must have been a shooting champion when you were in the army, right?”

Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”I learned this marksmanship from a comrade of mine; his marksmanship is the best in the whole military region!”

”No way!” Zhao Chengshuang’s eyes widened in disbelief, ”With your skill, there’s someone better than you? You must be exaggerating!”

Ye Qing didn’t say much more, only those who had seen Eagle Eye knew just how terrifying Eagle Eye’s marksmanship was. On the battlefield, Eagle Eye alone was equivalent to a special forces unit. Given the right terrain, he could wipe out a special forces squad in an instant. They had conducted experiments in the army; if Eagle Eye could see something, there was nothing he couldn’t hit.

”Hao Chen, I’m giving you one more chance!” Ye Qing tossed the handgun aside and said sternly, ”If you engage in such despicable acts again, next time, these bullets will all end up in your head!”

Hao Chen was so terrified that he couldn’t even speak, lying shakily on the ground, his body convulsing continuously as if in spasms.

Seeing him like that, Ou Keren’s eyes flashed with contempt. Hao Chen was clean and neat in appearance, but unfortunately, his character and courage were both despicable.

”Cheng Shuang, contact me if there’s any news,” Ye Qing said, before turning and walking away.

”Don’t worry, I will definitely clarify things for you!” Zhao Chengshuang called out from behind, waving his arms, ”Also, don’t be discouraged; maybe your brother wasn’t in that car.”

Ye Qing’s body trembled slightly, he indeed hoped that his brother Ye Jun was not in that car. But was that possible?

He had found Ye Jun’s pendant from Broom Star, which meant his brother truly was in the hands of Boss Lin’s people. Scar Lee confirmed that Ye Jun had indeed gone to carry goods, so how could he possibly not be in that vehicle?

Walking out of the small town, Ye Qing took a trail and entered a small grove. Beside the grove was a stream, and Ye Qing sat down on a large rock by the stream, his previous formidable energy seemingly gone, his face showing an indescribable fatigue.

He leaned against the rock, slowly rolling up the sleeve on his right arm. His right arm had been shot, and although it was just a flesh wound, the tearing force from the bullet’s rotation had greatly enlarged the wound. Blood kept pouring out, and the loss of blood gradually weakened Ye Qing.

Ye Qing clenched his teeth, one hand scooping water from the stream to rinse the wound. However, the contact between the stream water and the wound only intensified the pain.

With a somber expression on his face, although the pain was almost unbearable, there was no sign of pain on his face. After rinsing for a while, he suddenly pulled down his sleeve and turned his head, spoke in a deep voice, ”Come out!”

After a while, a slender figure emerged from behind a large rock in the distance, it was Ou Keren.

”Is it you?” Ye Qing frowned slightly, it seemed that Ou Keren had been tracking him for quite some time, and he had been completely unaware. It appeared that the excessive blood loss influenced him significantly!

”Ye, don’t worry, I have no hostility!” Ou Keren walked slowly, careful not to anger Ye Qing. At this moment, Ye Qing truly found enemies on all sides. Besides his brothers and friends, there weren’t many who could gain his trust.

Ye Qing stared at Ou Keren for a while, and from this girl’s eyes, he saw no hostility. Ye Qing slowly relaxed his vigilance, and asked in a deep voice, ”Why are you following me?”

”You’re injured, and it’s not good to wash the wound directly with water; it could become infected,” Ou Keren didn’t answer Ye’s question, hastily came over, and from her body, she took out some bandaging supplies and medicine.

”I just got some alcohol and medicine from the clinic, it’d be better to clean the wounds with alcohol first.” Ou Keren said, and without waiting for Ye Qing’s consent, immediately helped Ye Qing roll up his sleeve and began tending to his wound.

Ou Keren squatted by Ye Qing’s side, her manner serious as she addressed his wound, almost like a little wife tending to her husband’s injuries. The faint scent from her body constantly assaulted Ye Qing’s nostrils, making the scene all the more delicate.

Ye Qing, smelling the fragrance and watching Ou Keren’s focused expression, felt rather embarrassed. It was the first time he found himself in such a situation, and he didn’t quite know what to say.

Cleaning the wound with alcohol hurt much more than washing it with stream water. Still, Ye Qing did not make a sound from beginning to end, which made Ou Keren respect him even more.

It took about ten minutes for Ou Keren to finish, and she showed a victorious smile on her face, saying, ”All done, Ye, does it still hurt?”

After bandaging, the pain really lessened a lot. Ye Qing shook his arm and nodded at Ou Keren, saying, ”Thank you.”

”No need for thanks, it was just a small effort!” Ou Keren lightly smiled, the girl’s cheeks dimpling charmingly as she laughed, adding to her allure.

Ye Qing rolled his sleeve back down and looked at Ou Keren, asking, ”Why are you following me?”

Ou Keren mischievously smiled, ”If I say I want to make a merit, would you believe me?”

”Want to catch He Ziqiang?” Ye Qing asked.

Ou Keren paused, then said, ”How can you just believe I’m not here to catch you?”

Ye Qing looked at the nearby alcohol and bandages, ”If you wanted to catch me, you wouldn’t need these. You are here to catch He Ziang, to make a merit, he is the only one you can catch.”

”Ye, really nothing gets past you!” Ou Keren nodded, ”Yes, I want to catch He Ziqiang. I’ve been on this case for a whole year. This time, I must bring him to justice!”

Ye Qing said, ”Catching him is not an easy task.”

”I know, that’s why I’m following you,” Ou Keren laughed, ”Cheng Shuang also said if there’s anyone in Shenchuan City who could catch He Ziqiang, it would only be you. If I wanted to find He Ziqiang, I’d have to follow you, Ye!”
