Urban Martial Saint

Dozens of people charged at Ke Ren, cramming the small room to the point there was no room to spare.

Ke Ren gripped the steel needle tightly and directly stabbed the two men in the front to the ground. One of them had been stabbed in a major acupoint in the chest, suffering severe injuries, while the other was only grazed; after all, the scene was too chaotic for her to precisely target the acupoints.

Seeing Ke Ren’s precise moves, a youth behind her shouted sternly, ”You’ve got guts! Everyone, get your weapons out.”

The crowd whipped out things like steel rods and machetes, eying Ke Ren with a predatory gaze. The three youths leading the pack advanced to the front; the one in the lead held a weapon resembling a triangular file, long and narrow in shape and looking rather peculiar.

”Little policewoman, Big Brother here originally wanted to treat you gently. But it seems you aren’t interested in toasting respectfully. Since that’s the case, Big Brother won’t be polite with you!” The youth said as he gripped the triangular file tightly and thrust it directly towards Ke Ren’s chest.

Ke Ren saw it clearly and immediately aimed the steel needle in her hands at the acupoints on his arm. However, just then, two more youths charged forward from behind, both brandishing their machetes and striking at Ke Ren simultaneously.

With all three youths showing no small amount of skill, and coordinating closely, even if Ke Ren could stab the first person’s acupoints, she wouldn’t be able to dodge the following two machetes. Ke Ren certainly wouldn’t fight them to the death; she hastily stepped back to avoid the trio’s attack, but the three moved forward in unison, forcing her to keep retreating in a tight spot.

The room wasn’t large, and after taking a few steps back, Ke Ren found herself at the edge of the bed with no more room to retreat.

Ye Qing was still unconscious on the bed, and one of the steel needles in Ke Ren’s hands had been knocked away. She had just received a cut on her shoulder from a machete, and her entire right arm was now dyed red with blood.

”Little policewoman, you’re no good!” sneered the leading youth endlessly. ”Fighting isn’t your strong suit as a girl. Better to just lie down on the bed obediently and wait for Big Brother to join you.”

”Shameless!” spat Ke Ren, her brows knitted tightly. In the midst of speaking, her left shoulder was cut by a machete, exposing half of her upper body.

”Wow!” The group of youths immediately let out a wave of excited cheers, while Ke Ren hurriedly covered herself. But this only made her situation even more dangerous.

”Beauty, since you want to play, let’s have a good time!” The leading youth chuckled, waving his triangular file wildly to force Ke Ren into a flustered state, and his two followers seized the opportunity to slice the strap of her other shoulder, exposing it further.

With that, Ke Ren’s entire top was about to fall off. She held up her clothes with one hand, desperately trying to cover herself, while trying to fend off the three attackers with the steel needle in her other hand, finding herself in extreme disarray.

The most crucial part was that there were more than a dozen people behind them, watching her like a pack of wolves, which made her cheeks burn red with anger, and her eyes fill with tears.

However, even so, she still stubbornly stood in front of Ye Qing, not letting these people get close to him by even a fraction.

Eyeing the triangular file in his hand, the leading youth sinisterly smirked at Ke Ren, ”Little policewoman, Big Brother has been very merciful to you. If you don’t step aside, Big Brother will have no choice but to show no mercy!”

”I won’t let you off!” Ke Ren bit out fiercely.

”I’m sick of hearing that kind of talk. Don’t think I won’t lay a hand on you just because you’re a cop. Little girl, the name of the Northern City Three Eagles isn’t for nothing!” The youth sneered. ”Even the cops have to act all prim and proper in front of me. A young girl like you, I could squash you with one hand.

Big Brother sees you’ve got a nice figure; killing you would be a waste, so I didn’t go too hard on you. If you’re sensible, step aside now, and once Big Brother finishes his task, we can have a good time.”

Ke Ren clenched her teeth; she knew she couldn’t possibly stop these people. But after all, it was to save her that Ye had been knocked unconscious by her. With Ye Qing still unconscious, she couldn’t just stand by and watch him get killed; it was a matter of responsibility!

But if Ye Qing didn’t wake up, continuing to protect him like this, she feared they might both end up with dire outcomes.

Ke Ren turned to glance at Ye Qing and noticed his eyelids were quivering slightly. She felt a jolt in her heart; she knew that Ye Qing was awake. It’s just that the 36 major acupoints around his body were sealed by the steel needles, rendering him immobile.

”Northern City Three Eagles?” Ke Ren feigned complete curiosity, ”I’ve never heard of such a title.”

While speaking, Ke Ren’s hand slowly reached behind, silently attempting to pull out the steel needles from Ye Qing’s body.

Seeing Ke Ren’s apparent interest, the youth thought she was captivated by him and laughed loudly, ”Little policewoman, I told you that you know too little. You’ve never heard of the name Northern City Three Eagles, and you’re mixing in Shenchuan City? Let me tell you, I am the Eldest Brother of the Northern City Three Eagles, you can also call me Eagle King.

These two behind me, they are my brothers, known as Second Eagle and Third Hawk. The Northern City Three Eagles, that’s the moniker for us three. We’ve been in the game for two years, and we’re now the tyrants of the North City District. Ever heard of the Tianqing Gang? Shenchuan City’s largest gang, where Deputy Chief Qin Yuan is my elder brother.”

While Eagle King was feeling smug, he was unaware that Ke Ren was using her words to stall for time. As soon as all the steel needles on Ye Qing were pulled out, he would be able to move. With Ye Qing’s abilities, dealing with these so-called Northern City Three Eagles shouldn’t be difficult!

Ke Ren said, ”I know about the Tianqing Gang, but I don’t know any Qin Yuan.”

”Are you even from Shenchuan City? You don’t even know Qin Yuan, what kind of cop are you?” Eagle King sneered, ”Little policewoman, I think being a cop isn’t working out for you, why don’t you quit and join me instead? Work for me, and I’ll give you two places to run. You’ll earn more in a month than you do in a year.”

”Really?” Ke Ren’s face lit up with curiosity, and she pouted, ”I don’t believe it. Are you asking me to do something against Heaven and reason?”

”No, brother loves you so much, how could he harm you!” The Eagle King was thrilled by Ou Keren’s adorable expression, saying, ”Don’t worry, you just need to be the manager, take care of the accounts every day, and urge the people below to do their work, that’s all. You don’t need to worry about anything else.”

”Oh, really?” Ou Keren pretended to be thoughtful, saying, ”Where is there such a good deal? I don’t believe it!”

The Eagle King laughed, saying, ”Good deals are hard to come by, of course, but brother took a liking to you and gave you a great opportunity. Beauty, if you miss this chance, don’t expect to find another one!”

”Why do I always feel that you’re not a good person?” said Ou Keren.

The Third Hawk behind them, growing impatient, said, ”Big Brother, why waste words with this woman? Just knock them all out and take her back, then you can do whatever you want with her, no need for all this chatter!”

”Shut your mouth!” The Eagle King glared at him and said, ”This is your future sister-in-law, do you want to scare her?”

Taking advantage of the moment the Eagle King turned his head, Ou Keren immediately stepped back and hurriedly attempted to pull out the steel needle from the other side of Ye Qing’s body.

However, the movement was a bit too obvious and the Second Eagle noticed.

”You wretch, what are you doing?” Second Eagle shouted angrily.

Seeing that she’d been discovered, Ou Keren simply jumped onto the bed, not caring that her body was exposed, and with both hands, started helping Ye Qing pull out the steel needles.

”Little policewoman, what are you doing?” The Eagle King turned his head and saw Ou Keren’s tense expression. Although he didn’t know what she was up to, he instinctively felt something was wrong.

”Damn, there’s something wrong with this kid, take them down now!” The Eagle King yelled, the first one charging forward with a triangular file, aiming directly at Ye Qing’s chest.

Ou Keren let out a sharp scream and hugged Ye Qing, moving a step inward. But it was still a step too late; the triangular file sliced Ye Qing’s left arm, immediately leaving a bloody gash and blood began to flow.

”Kill them all!” The Eagle King no longer had any sympathy and bellowed furiously.

Dozens of people rushed up, and Ou Keren, sweating profusely, quickly pulled the last steel needle from Ye Qing’s body, urging, ”Ye, wake up, please wake up!”

Ye Qing appeared motionless, and Ou Keren was stunned. Could she have guessed wrong, and he wasn’t waking up at all?

At that moment, the Eagle King’s triangular file attacked again. He saw that Ou Keren was trying to wake Ye Qing, so this time his target was Ou Keren, intending to take her out first so that she couldn’t revive Ye Qing.

Ou Keren, trapped at the innermost side of the bed and having to protect Ye Qing, had nowhere to dodge. She could only raise her right hand in an attempt to block the triangular file as it plunged towards them.

”Die!” The Eagle King’s eyes flashed coldly, confident in his strength, believing he could definitely kill Ou Keren with this strike.

Ou Keren closed her eyes, utterly despairing at that moment.

However, the anticipated pain didn’t come; instead, there was a scream from the Eagle King echoing inside the room.

Ou Keren, surprised, opened her eyes and saw that Ye Qing’s eyes were open. In his hand, he was holding the Eagle King’s triangular file. The Eagle King stumbled back several steps with blood flowing from his nose and mouth, clearly suffering substantial injuries.

Ye Qing’s eyes gleamed with bone-chilling coldness. He exchanged a glance with Ou Keren, nodded at her, and slowly rose from the bed.

The men of the Northern City Three Eagles were startled; they had seen what just happened. Just as the Eagle King’s triangular file was about to pierce Ou Keren, Ye Qing suddenly reached out and grabbed it, as precise as if it had been rehearsed.

Following that, Ye Qing turned and punched the Eagle King in the face, nearly disabling the strongest among them with one blow, shocking everyone present enormously.

”How dare you hit my big brother, I’ll kill you!” Second Eagle roared, raising his cleaver and charging forward.

Faced with his cleaver, Ye Qing didn’t dodge. Just as the Second Eagle was two steps away, Ye Qing suddenly stepped forward, his triangular file piercing the man’s right chest.

Second Eagle let out a scream and instinctively tried to back away, but the Eagle King shouted desperately from behind, ”Don’t retreat!”
