Urban Martial Saint

Zhao Chengshuang couldn’t reach Ye Qing, so he called Mu Qingrong, Rong Fang Tingyun, Li Lianshan, and others, but couldn’t find Ye Qing either. Even Black Bear had disappeared, and he knew that Ye Qing was hiding, evading Shenchuan City police’s warrant for his arrest.

Finally, having no other choice, Zhao Chengshuang sent a text message to Ye Qing in his own name, begging him to save Lin Yashi.

Ou Keren had been following Zhao Chengshuang all along, and she heard all his conversations with Lin family members. After watching him finish the text message, Ou Keren couldn’t help asking, ”Are you sure he can save the hostage? Or, wouldn’t it be better to quickly organize a criminal investigation team to search for her?”

”It’s useless!” Zhao Chengshuang shook his head, declaring firmly, ”Apart from him, no one can save my aunt!”

Seeing Zhao Chengshuang’s confidence in Ye Qing, Ou Keren couldn’t help but grow even more curious about him. Zhao Chengshuang, a man who dares to confront the son of a deputy provincial minister, is actually so utterly devoted to someone, which is indeed a difficult thing. What charm does Ye Qing have to earn such respect from Zhao Chengshuang?

”But will he help you?” Ou Keren asked softly, ”It seems he has quite a grudge against the Lin family, and what he has done isn’t minor. The Lin family forcibly made him a wanted criminal through their connections, I guess he must now hate the Lin family to death.”

Zhao Chengshuang hesitated for a moment, then shook his head firmly again, saying, ”Ye Zi will definitely help me.”

Ou Keren asked curiously, ”Why are you so sure?”

Zhao Chengshuang replied, ”Because he is a soldier!”

At that time, Ye Qing was hiding outside a quiet village in the Southern Suburb. His phone was not turned off; he had just made a small modification to it so that no one could track his location through the phone, but he could still use it to communicate.

His phone kept ringing all morning, and almost all of his acquaintances in Shenchuan City called when they heard about his warrant. However, Ye Qing didn’t answer any of them; he didn’t want to involve anyone else in this matter and intended to handle it alone. Nevertheless, he had read every text message he received, and most people were very concerned about his current situation.

The text message from Zhao Chengshuang disturbed Ye Qing’s peace of mind. After hesitating for half a minute, Ye Qing put the phone in his pocket and stepped out of his hiding place. The motorcycle was also hidden here; Ye Qing got on and rode it straight out of the village.

At the same time, in a luxurious villa in the city suburbs, Yang Shitao was sitting furiously on the sofa, his face so gloomy it looked like it could drip water.

”He Ziqiang, that bastard!” Yang Shitao gritted his teeth, ”Ye Qing has completely severed ties with the Lin family. We just need to sit back and enjoy the show, watching how the Lin family kills Ye Qing. But he kidnapped Lin Yashi at this time, shifting most of the Lin family’s attention to her. Now there are fewer people going after Ye Qing, and most of them are busy trying to save Lin Yashi.

This enrages me, he is clearly clearing the way for Ye Qing!”

”The main purpose of He Ziqiang coming to Shenchuan City was to kidnap someone from Lin Corporation and demand a huge ransom. Our cooperation with him only meant we provided the money, so he would take down Ye Qing on the side,” the man next to him analyzed, ”For him, the bigger business is indeed the kidnapping of someone from Lin Corporation.

And there are not many Lin family members truly worth paying a large ransom to save.”

”Lin Huayu counts as one, but she has already been sent by Lin Zhen Nan to Xi Hang, so there’s no way to touch her now. Therefore, kidnapping Lin Yashi now is the best approach. Plus, with the commotion caused by Ye Qing, everyone in the Lin family has shifted their focus, and the police have run off to deal with Ye Qing’s case, which makes this the best moment for him to kidnap Lin Yashi.

He chose this time to act, and it was well-considered!”

Yang Shitao exclaimed angrily, ”Well-considered my ass, his actions just ruined my plans!”

The man shrugged and said, ”The money we gave him is less than what he would get from the ransom. So for him, our business here isn’t really important.”

”Not important?” A cold glint flashed in Yang Shitao’s eyes, ”Taking my money and ruining my business. Alright, let’s see if he even lives to spend that money!”

The man glanced at Yang Shitao and stated, ”Ye Qing and the Lin family have become sworn enemies, and no doubt the Lin family wants him dead. However, Zhao Chengshuang definitely wants Ye Qing to save Lin Yashi and smooth things over with the Lin family. As long as Ye Qing can’t save Lin Yashi, the grudge between the Lin family and Ye Qing won’t dissolve.

By then, we won’t have to lift a finger; the Lin family will surely kill Ye Qing!”

Yang Shitao spoke coldly, ”Tell He Ziqiang to bring Lin Yashi to the West Suburb Villa, I’ll give him an extra thirty million. Also, tell the people in the Southern Suburb that as soon as He Ziqiang arrives, take him out immediately. He knows too much about me, and he’s of no use now, there’s no need to keep him alive!”

The man’s eyes betrayed a trace of disdain; he had known all along that Yang Shitao would eventually kill He Ziqiang. He just hadn’t expected Yang Shitao to act so soon, thinking that Yang Shitao would continue to use He Ziqiang against the Lin family.

Now, it seemed that Yang Shitao didn’t have grand ambitions; all he wanted was vengeance for his son and had no interest in dominating Shenchuan City!

He Ziqiang was now hiding in a small town in the Southern Suburb of Shenchuan City, and Lin Yashi had been stuffed in a sack by him. A new group of people had taken over the watch here. Thus, even if the police found this place, it wouldn’t be easy to find him.

As soon as he received Yang Shitao’s call, He Ziqiang immediately had people carry Lin Yashi into the car in the yard. Just as he prepared to leave, He Ziqiang saw from the window that a motorcycle was approaching from afar on the town’s street. The rider was none other than his arch-enemy, Ye Qing!

He Ziqiang’s expression changed. He had lost his hostages to Ye Qing twice before and he was still somewhat unconvinced, thinking that Ye Qing was just making wild guesses. But now, Ye Qing had found his hiding place again, which truly shocked him. He simply couldn’t understand how Ye Qing had guessed his location.

A lackey ran in and said loudly, ”Big Brother, she’s all packed up. Should we leave now?”

”Shut up!” He Ziqiang drew the curtains and quietly watched Ye Qing, who had slowed down and stopped his motorcycle. Ye Qing had found a place to park and was asking something of the nearby people.

He Ziqiang’s expression changed again. It seemed that Ye Qing had indeed locked onto this town and was looking for him. He had settled in the town the day before yesterday to avoid police detection and even had a subordinate specially rent the house for him.

He Ziqiang had planned quite well, as he had previously hidden people in desolate and remote places. This time, however, he hid his captive in a populous town, something that no police officer would have ever guessed. Moreover, even if the police conducted a large-scale search and really found this town, they wouldn’t have enough manpower to inspect closely.

He also hid Lin Yashi well, confident that even if the bumbling police of Shenchuan City stumbled upon his hiding spot, they would never find Lin Yashi.

But this time, Ye Qing was here, and the situation was different. The fact that Ye Qing had set his sights on this town was already surprising. With Ye Qing’s sharp vision, if he truly found this house, no matter how well he had hidden Lin Yashi, it would be nearly impossible to escape Ye Qing’s eyes.

After a moment of silence, grinding his teeth, He Ziqiang said gravely to his two subordinates, ”Take her out of the town, and wait for me in Yang Village thirty kilometers north of the town.”

”Big Brother, aren’t you going with us?” one of the lackeys asked in surprise. ”Aren’t we supposed to deliver the person to the West Suburb?”

”Stop talking and drive the car out of here now!” He Ziqiang barked sternly. He already saw that Ye Qing was observing his house from a distance. It looked like Ye Qing had practically pinpointed his target.

The two subordinates dared not waste words and hurried downstairs to drive the car out of the yard. Meanwhile, He Ziqiang watched clearly from upstairs as Ye Qing approached their building. When the two men were about ten meters away, they drove out of the yard and headed north.

Ye Qing stood still for a few seconds, then suddenly chased after the car with large strides. Seeing this, He Ziqiang immediately turned and left through the back alley downstairs. He had sent his subordinates out to distract Ye Qing, creating an opportunity and time for his escape.

The car hadn’t picked up much speed and was only a dozen or so meters away from Ye Qing. He quickly caught up to the car, grabbed the rear of the vehicle, and leapt onto the roof with a jump.

”What the hell?” The two inside didn’t know what had happened. One man stuck his head out of the window and shouted angrily, ”Are you looking for death?”

Ye Qing punched him in the face, silencing him immediately. The other man, sensing danger, floored the gas pedal and frantically turned the steering wheel, trying to shake Ye Qing off.

The sudden speed almost threw Ye Qing off the roof. Fortunately, he grabbed the edge of the car with one hand, and after a few staggering steps while running alongside the car, he steadied himself. With a powerful leap, he was back on the roof, grabbed the edge, kicked open the car window, and charged into the car.

”Aah!” The driver grabbed a wrench and swung it at Ye Qing as he barged in, but Ye Qing ducked, and the wrench struck the car window instead. Not taking any chances, Ye Qing grabbed the driver’s wrist in a twist, and the driver screamed as his arm was dislocated.

At this moment, the car was racing at high speed, the driver ignoring the steering wheel. The car hurtled towards a building at an exceptionally fast pace. Passersby ran frantically to avoid it, but it still knocked over two people.

Without hesitation, Ye Qing kicked the driver away, sending him and the car door flying out together. He lunged into the driver’s seat, violently turned the steering wheel, and stomped on the brakes. Still, it was too late; as the car crashed into a wall, the force of the impact left Ye Qing dazed.

Ye Qing stumbled out of the car and opened the trunk; inside was a black, elongated bag. Opening the bag, he found someone unconscious inside – it was Lin Yashi. The violent collision had caused Lin Yashi to gash her forehead, which was now bleeding profusely.
