Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Ye Qing’s stance, Fire Butterfly let out a cold laugh and said, ”Bajiquan, I haven’t seen it in years. No wonder Huangfu Ziyu came to Shenchuan City personally to meet you. It seems you haven’t disappointed her, giving you such a big opportunity.”

Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brows and asked, ”What do you mean?”

Fire Butterfly sneered and slowly extended her hands. Although Fire Butterfly’s beauty was not comparable to Huangfu Ziyu’s, she was undoubtedly a beautiful woman. However, her hands were anything but delicate; they were covered with calluses, even rougher than those of a man who practiced martial arts year-round.

”To withstand ten moves from me, then he will be yours!” Fire Butterfly said coldly, as if she was talking about something very simple.

Ye Qing dared not take any chances, watching Fire Butterfly as if facing a great enemy. After a standoff lasting a full half-minute, a piercing screeching sound suddenly came from beneath Ye Qing’s feet, the result of him suddenly scraping his foot against the ground.

With this sound, Ye Qing shot out like a cannonball, ramming his shoulder forcefully into Fire Butterfly. This was Ye Qing’s strongest attack, and even someone like Black Bear wouldn’t dare to block it head-on.

”Stick to the Mountain!” A hint of admiration flashed in Fire Butterfly’s eyes, but she didn’t avoid it in the slightest, instead striking out with her palm directly onto Ye Qing’s shoulder.

When the two collided, Fire Butterfly took three steps back, finally dissipating the force of Ye Qing’s blow. Ye Qing, on the other hand, did not step back, but his shoulder structure felt as if it had been shattered. Turning his head, he saw a handprint that was red turning black on his shoulder.

Fire Butterfly’s seemingly simple palm strike left a bruise on Ye Qing’s shoulder. This woman, renowned alongside Huangfu Ziyu, truly had strength comparable to her reputation!

Ye Qing stepped back, took several deep breaths, and circulated the Internal Breath within his body to manage the blood congestion in his shoulder. The medical methods recorded in Acupoint Seeking Technique indeed worked. Although he could not project his Inner Strength outside his body, there was no issue circulating it within. It was particularly effective in treating such internal injuries.

After three cycles of Internal Breath, the intense pain in his shoulder decreased by half, but the burning sensation was still unbearable. Ye Qing clenched his teeth, stared coldly at Fire Butterfly in front of him, and suddenly grabbed a chair next to him, throwing it at Fire Butterfly.

Fire Butterfly didn’t dodge or evade. She stretched out her hands, caught the chair, and with a twist, she actually tore the wooden chair apart. At that moment, Ye Qing also charged forward, throwing a punch directly at her temple.

Fire Butterfly held the two halves of the chair and swung them at Ye Qing. Her strike was more fierce than Ye Qing’s, her attack incredibly fast, looking like it would hit Ye Qing even before his fist could reach her.

Although this was a tactic that could damage both sides, Fire Butterfly would not suffer much from this hit, while Ye Qing would be severely injured. After weighing his options, Ye Qing finally relented, reluctantly retracting his arms and blocking above his head.

Both halves of the chair smashed onto Ye Qing’s arms, shattering directly. However, Ye Qing, tough as ever, took the hit without much injury. He stepped forward quickly and threw another punch at Fire Butterfly’s temple.

Just then, the sound of a siren suddenly came from outside. Fire Butterfly slightly furrowed her brow, grabbed Ye Qing’s fist, and with a forceful shove, pushed him back several steps. She then turned around and said in a deep voice, ”Take him away!”

The two women immediately went to grab Eldest Brother Lin, almost dragging him out.

”Don’t go!” Ye Qing shouted, wanting to follow, but was again stopped by Fire Butterfly.

”You only have the form of Bajiquan, yet you have not mastered the essence!” Fire Butterfly slowly shook her head and said, ”You are still no match for me, go back and practice for a few more years.”

”So what!” Ye Qing shouted. ”Unless you leave him behind, even if it costs me my life, I will not let you leave!”

Fire Butterfly let out a cold laugh and said, ”Always ready to risk your life? Is this your so-called heroism? In front of me, what good is risking your life? What else can you do other than getting killed by me? The most important thing in life is to ’keep the green mountains safe,’ so you are not worried about running out of firewood. I am sparing you this time out of respect for that old man.

But next time we meet, I might not be so merciful. Remember, if you want to hold your ground in Shenchuan City, just having these skills and Huangfu Ziyu’s support is not enough. Without sufficient strength, you will never be able to stand firm!”

After finishing her speech, Fire Butterfly slapped Ye Qing’s leg, causing intense pain that almost made him unable to stand.

”If you don’t want to be caught by the police, you better run now, you still have some time!” Fire Butterfly threw down these words, turned around, walked out of the attic, and drove away in her car.

The people of the Lin family stood there stunned, but no one dared to stop her. The man whose artery had been severed by Fire Butterfly’s subordinate had already stopped breathing; nobody wanted to die senselessly like him.

Several police cars rushed in at the entrance, trying to stop Fire Butterfly’s car, but she completely ignored them. She burst out, overturning several cars, and amidst the shouts of the police, she sped away into the distance.

Ye Qing stood upstairs, watching everything unfold, as the intense pain in his legs gradually subsided. By the time he could move, Fire Butterfly’s car had already disappeared.

Ye Qing was furious to the core, punching the wall forcefully. Seeing the police rushing in, he did not dare to stay any longer and turned to jump out of the window, fleeing over the backyard wall.

When the police arrived, the Lin family members felt as if they had been saved, gathering around the officers and speaking all at once about what Ye Qing had done. Unaware of Fire Butterfly’s identity, they directed all their hatred towards Ye Qing, wishing the officers could capture him immediately and allow them to kill him with their own hands as revenge.

The deputy chief leading the team trembled all over seeing the situation at the Lin family. Lin Corporation was the richest group in Shenchuan City, and such a major incident at the Lin family was indeed a significant case. He could not bear the wrath of Lin Zhen Nan if he got angry.

Fortunately, Lin Zhen Nan did not react too extremely; he just sat silently to the side, looking somewhat absent-minded.

”No matter what, you must capture Ye Qing for me,” commanded Old Lady Lin, banging her walking stick, ”I give you three days. If you can’t catch Ye Qing, I will go to the province and file a complaint against you!”

The deputy chief was sweating profusely, repeatedly agreeing, though he himself felt troubled. He knew of Ye Qing’s name and that Ye Qing had saved two members of the Lin family. He couldn’t understand how Ye Qing had turned against the Lin family to such an extent.

After leaving the backyard, Ye Qing blended into the crowd and managed to escape the pursuing officers. On the road, he called Black Bear, telling him to immediately take Da Hei and hide. With the commotion at the Lin’s, he was most likely to become a wanted criminal, and he didn’t want Black Bear to get involved.

Black Bear, unaware of the exact events on Ye Qing’s side, never doubted Ye Qing’s commands. Upon receiving the order, he immediately left Shenchuan City with Da Hei and found a place to hide in the suburbs.

Ye Qing did not head to the suburbs; he stayed hidden in the city because he was determined to find Fire Butterfly. Although he was not yet a match for Fire Butterfly, the vengeance for his brother, Ye Jun, was something he must fulfill, even if it killed him!

Remembering how his brother had been burned to ashes in that car, Ye Qing’s tears silently streamed down his cheeks. He had often imagined meeting his brother again, even if he had become severely disabled; Ye Qing had been so hopeful.

But he could never have imagined that all his fantasies would burst like bubbles, the sight of about a dozen skeletons intertwined in that car haunts him to this day. He could even feel the agony of being burned alive; his heart was bleeding.

Ye Qing clenched his teeth, fists tightly balled, his fingernails digging deeply into his flesh, yet he felt as if unawakened.

”Lin Tianhao, I will make you pay back a hundredfold for this!” Ye Qing growled through clenched teeth.

Actually, Boss Lin was not faring much better. Sitting in Fire Butterfly’s car, with her right beside him, he could feel every hair on his body standing on end.

Ye Qing was frightening enough, but having witnessed how Fire Butterfly had made Ye Qing continuously retreat, he knew this woman was much more terrifying than Ye Qing. Moreover, he had heard countless times of Fire Butterfly’s methods. Honestly, he now regretted it, preferring to die at Ye Qing’s hands than to suffer under Fire Butterfly’s.

”Fire... Sister Huo...” after a long silence, Boss Lin finally could not hold back anymore, his voice trembling, ”Where... where are you taking me? I... I have no grievances with you, why do you want to...”

Fire Butterfly turned her head to look at him quietly, and Boss Lin immediately shut his mouth, not daring to utter another word. Fire Butterfly did not speak, just kept staring at him. Boss Lin felt as if he was being targeted by a wild beast, he lowered his head, not daring to meet Fire Butterfly’s eyes anymore.

After driving for half an hour, the car finally arrived at a rundown farmhouse. The woman in front helped Fire Butterfly out of the door, then glared at Boss Lin and said, ”Get out!”

This woman was the same one who had snapped a human blood vessel with one move earlier. Boss Lin didn’t dare disobey at all, tumbling out of the car in a mess. Looking at the farmhouse in front of him, he felt a bit astonished.

The woman led Fire Butterfly into the yard, and then kicked Boss Lin in the back, angrily saying, ”Get in!”

Stumbling, Boss Lin did not dare to speak, following Fire Butterfly into the yard.

There were two women in the yard, one of whom was wrapped in several bandages and had a broken arm. Seeing him come in, a hint of furious rage flashed across her eyes, as if she had a deep grudge against Boss Lin.

Boss Lin was astonished as he did not recognize this woman and couldn’t understand why Fire Butterfly had brought him here.

Turning around, Fire Butterfly sat down, glanced at the bandaged woman, and asked, ”Do you recognize her?”
