My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1440: Chapter 1235: Close

I dare not get too close to you, I always remember that I’m afraid you might find me annoying, so I just stay lonely by myself.

When Chen Gang saw the girl he loved smiling so happily in front of him, he knew that this time he had finally made the right decision. Seeing the girl he loved so cheerful and joyful, what reason did he have to destroy her happiness? Nothing is more important than the happiness of the girl he loves. What he did in the past was truly heartbreaking and disappointing.

But now he finally understood everything. Perhaps heaven was waiting for him to wake up. Now he completely understood everything. Maybe things will really be different. Hopefully, in the future, they can meet again, and when they do, they can smile as radiantly as they do now, without crying over any unfortunate events.

”Zihan, do you know? When I see your bright smile now, I realize that what I’ve always wanted isn’t your love for me. What I want is just to be able to watch you from afar, living happily, and that’s enough. All along, I never really understood what kind of life I wanted until I saw your radiant smile. I then knew I was sorry. In the past, I hurt you, turned you into that heartbroken person, and caused discord between you and your husband.

I know that nobody in this world is perfect, and I understand that many things can’t be forced. But I hope that one day we can still be as happy together as we are now. No matter how you view me in the future, please remember that once there was a boy who deeply gave everything for you, willing to pay any price. In the end, you and I just brushed past each other. I hope you can understand this kind of destiny and thoroughly remember it...”

”Chen Gang, I sincerely thank you. If it weren’t for your decision to let go of me, I wouldn’t be as happy and joyful as I am now. You made me who I am today; you showed me what true love is. Do you know? I am so happy to be friends with you. I cherish the years we spent together. You were always that bright, sunny boy. I hope you don’t change your original intentions for anything bad. You are a kind-hearted person, don’t let anything taint your heart and ruin all the years of effort you’ve put in!

Believe me, even though life’s road is bumpy, there’s always sunshine waiting for you in the back. Don’t let my existence ruin your lifetime of happiness. I hope that one day you’ll meet your destined love, and when that time comes, I’ll be so happy. I may not be good with words, but you know what? My heart isn’t bad. I just hope everyone I care about can live a happy life, and that’s enough for me. Maybe you don’t understand why I think this way now, but one day you’ll know that being with you wasn’t about possessing!”

Chen Gang nodded and said, ”You’re right. Now I completely understand all the viewpoints, you know? When I realized that the girl I love the most, I can’t have her in this lifetime, how hopeless and remorseful I felt. I hate myself for being so useless, for not being able to stay by the side of the girl I loved most, and at that moment, I felt like such a failure. A deep sense of defeat came to me from the depths of my heart.

Maybe you won’t understand that kind of despair in life, but you know what? Being with you has made my life colorful, no longer as hopeless as before. This is what you gave me, and you showed me that life is not perfect, and no one in the world can be perfect. Even if someone is really good at everything, they’ll still have weaknesses and flaws!

Life is given by parents, and the path is chosen by oneself. No one else can decide which road one should take, only one’s heart can guide them to the right path. If the mind is truly twisted, then no matter how much wealth you have in this lifetime, it’s in vain, you can’t escape, justice will always catch up.

Everyone knows that the law is tight and leaves nothing unescaped. No one can really know what they’ll become, and the only thing they can decide is what kind of person they should be. I don’t have many lofty ideals in this life, but my greatest ideal is not to bring the greatest happiness to others, just not to hurt the ones I love the most.

We ended up living together for so many years, and there was no good way for us to continue, but we are still friends. No matter when and where, please remember, you’ll always have me as a friend, silently supporting you from behind, silently applauding you. Seeing your life full of colors, I will smile for you. Seeing your life happy and joyful, I will be glad for you, but if I see you sad and in tears, my heart will still ache for you. You must understand that your happiness is my joy, and your sorrow is my sorrow. To make you understand all this might help you know how much I am unwilling to let go!”

”Chen Gang, I’m sorry. In the end, I let down your kindness, and I let you down with all your deep feelings. I don’t know what words to use to describe it to you. I can only deeply apologize to you. Maybe in this lifetime, we really didn’t have a chance, it was just fate without connection. But I truly hope that if there’s a next life, you can confess to me earlier, maybe by then I would make a different choice, wouldn’t I? Every road is chosen by oneself, and every path chosen decides the eventual outcome. So you should know that over these years, no one else is to blame for where we are now. It’s only the result of the path we chose, who could we really blame?”

Chen Gang thought for a moment and indeed felt that it was the truth. He had waited so many years, only to end up losing!

I do not ask for much, just a little more smile. You’re nothing but a passerby in my life.
