My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1439: Chapter 1234: Passerby

No one could have imagined that all our love from the past would become a thing of the past, and all the love in our hearts is gone.

In fact, for that day, he truly lived a pitiful life. Clearly, his son was right in front of him, but he couldn’t embrace him in any way. All these years, he has longed for his son, longed for his family, but never had any chance to return home to see them. She knew that once she made her decision back then, there would be no day for regret, no matter what. Since she had done something that made everyone uncomfortable, who in this life would forgive her? Not a single person would forgive someone who embarrassed them, yet never once apologized.

Zhang Zhentian felt that right now, he shouldn’t look for his son to speak, he should sincerely face his own father, offer a gift, apologize. All of this is his fault – causing his father so much pain. He never considered what kind of impact these matters would bring to his father, only thinking about his own freedom as the most important, yet he neglected the elder’s feelings.

”Dad, I’m sorry. Over these years, it’s been my fault. I shouldn’t have abandoned the entire family for my selfish desires like I did back then, abandoning the whole family, letting everyone say you gave birth to an unfilial son, and not properly being filial to you over these years. I know you feel having me as a son is a shame. You feel proud because of this son, because of your grandson you feel he is an exceptionally outstanding person. Because of your nurturing, he stands where he is today in an argument, no matter what, he will sincerely thank you, thank you for these years of nurturing. He has never forgotten you. She has always kept you in his deepest heart; always thought that in the whole world, even if everyone could leave, you are the one who can’t be lost. So, Dad, I sincerely wish you get well soon, and I hope you can happily accompany my child.”

Over these years, he has never experienced the parental love from us, but only you, this grandpa, have given him all the love, making him feel you are his everything. If you weren’t there, his world would collapse. I hope you can live happily. Regardless of the means, I will make you smile with happiness, live cheerfully, only then will my son be happy and joyful.

Maybe you think my decision is very selfish, but I also have no choice. I just want my child to live joyously and happily. As long as he can live a happy life, for me, as a father, even if I’m a heinously evil person, it doesn’t matter. As long as he can be happy in this life, as long as he can often smile with ease, as a father, I have no regrets. I never dared to desire too much because I know that seeking too much eventually has no good outcome. But I really never thought I could go back home one day, to return to your side, see my father, see my child, see my daughter-in-law, and my grandson gather happily together.

I once lost all family affection; I made everything so unbearable. I treated all relationships as nothing, abandoned everyone, and now I realize that familial affection is something that no amount of money can buy. I realized the importance of family bonds; I realized what kind of feelings family bonds could bring me, the warmth they could bring. So now, no matter what, I absolutely won’t leave you. I will stay by your side for a lifetime. It doesn’t matter how many more years you have, no matter how limited my lifespan is, I will always accompany you, will never leave you. Whether you believe it or not, I will let time prove all this because time will prove everything, will let you know every word I say is true and has never deceived you. Maybe before, everything I said was mixed with lies and motives, but now I just want to be a sincere person, a real me, without any masks.”

It must be said when Old Master Zhang heard Zhang say such touching words to him these days, his heart was truly stirred. All these years, he never received such a deep confession from his son, and now he really heard it. How could his heart not be moved? Facing his son’s apology, even a few simple words show great love. Only this way will everyone feel that everyone in the world is fair and has the right to enjoy love. Ultimately, it depends on which path he chooses. There may be a path of no return. Once he chooses it, all his life’s happiness will end here and now, reaching a conclusion.

”For you to say such things today really moves me as a father. I never thought my son could be so understanding one day. Since you can have such insights now, what reason do I have not to forgive you? You are my biological son; no matter what mistake you make, you can never change this fact. Legally, you are my child; I haven’t severed our father-son relationship, so no matter what, you can only be my son. Now that you’ve sincerely apologized to me, I agree to let you continue living in this family, just hope that in the future, when you do things, you think thrice, do not act willfully as before, ignoring others’ feelings; that will only drive your relatives further and further.”

”Don’t worry, I will never do it again because I know if I do it once more, I’ll lose something invaluable and pay a high price. I’m not a fool; there are things I choose not to say, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know them, so I hope you can trust me, give me another chance. I promise never to let such a thing happen again. Such a thing will never happen again. I just want to happily stay by your side, watching my family live joyously together. For a middle-aged person like me, it’s the happiest thing. No one doesn’t care about their family, and I also care, but I just used the wrong way to care!”

What made us meet, what caused the distance between us!
