My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1420: Chapter 1215: Beautiful Thoughts

Some thoughts are too beautiful, and they can also be a kind of harm, because you don’t know when you can truly become the person you want to be, nor does anyone else know how they should live their entire life.

”Dear grandma, I can’t talk to you now; I need to hurry home, or my parents will be worried. My parents love me so much, I can’t let them worry about me. They should live happily, and not be anxious every day because of their son. That would make my heart uneasy!”

”You are truly a thoughtful child. I believe your parents consider you their greatest pride; you must be the most cherished person in their heart. Little one, you haven’t told me your name yet. And what are your parents’ names?”

”I’m sorry, dear grandma. Regarding my parents’ names, I can’t casually tell outsiders. This is my family’s privacy, and I can’t reveal any family details to outsiders. I hope you won’t be upset, grandma. I just can’t easily tell you, since we’ve only just met. If I divulged all my family information so easily, what if you were a bad person? It could hurt my parents, and I can’t take this risk. I want to ensure my parents live peacefully and not let any carelessness of mine cause them harm. That would bring immense pain and sadness to my heart. I can’t let such a risk happen to me!”

Xia Jing didn’t expect the little boy in front of her to, at such a young age, think about so many reasons. Everything seemed dangerous to him, with consideration for everything, even for his parents. If she could have such a thoughtful grandson, wouldn’t that be wonderful?

But Xia Jing did not know that the person in front of her was indeed her grandson, and she never imagined that this person was the beloved grandson she most desired. But ultimately, when he discovered the truth, no one was willing to forgive her because everyone knew that back then she decided to abandon everything, completely disregarding her family’s opposition, making it impossible for anyone to accept this happening within their own lives. Only when everyone has left do they realize what they have truly missed and lost. But in the end, does it still matter? By then, everything has changed beyond recognition.

”Child, are you really not going to chat with grandma a little longer? Grandma feels a connection with you while talking. If you just go home alone, grandma might feel very lonely here. Would you like to accompany grandma a little longer? Grandma truly wishes for your company. Listening to you talk about your parents touches my heart so deeply; I never expected you to be such a thoughtful child. Your parents are truly lucky to have you.” Xia Jing said to Zhang Ni.

”I really can’t, grandma. I have to go home now. If I keep chatting with you here, my mom at home will be very worried waiting for me. I can’t let her be anxious because of me. My mom has already given so much to me; I want her to live a happy life rather than being scared because of her son. Grandma, I hope you understand my feelings for my mom; what I care about is not much. I just want my mom to happily accompany me as I grow up, and that’s enough for me. I know you can’t have too many extravagant hopes in life because too many hopes become purposeless. I won’t be greedy. I just want my parents to accompany me for a lifetime; that’s already enough for me. Why wish for things that are not yours, and you can’t obtain them? Sometimes I don’t understand why people can be so greedy. At first, I was very greedy too; I wanted my parents’ love and my grandparents’ love. But finally, I realized that excessive greed might lead you to have nothing. Perhaps not being greedy is the best outcome. Seeing the people you care about happily by your side is the happiest and most joyful thing in life. Grandma, I believe one day you will experience familial joy. For my great-grandpa, his familial joy is having me by his side. He treats me so well; I can’t let him be sad because of me. He is already old and can’t withstand any shock. I fear if I shock him, he might suddenly leave this world, which would be my lifelong guilt. I would never be able to forgive myself for harming the one who loves me most; that would be my greatest sin in life.”

Xia Jing didn’t expect this little boy to understand so many truths. What he said made her feel utterly inferior. Why have I never received such understanding and felt why I can never grasp that feeling? If I could one day think as clearly as this child, how wonderful that would be. If I had not done those things, wouldn’t today’s outcome be different?

”Alright, then go home first. Forcing you to stay here will not make you feel happy and joyful. I can’t let you worry and cause stress for your mom, can I? You are truly a filial child. Every decision you make considers your family. Such good children are rare in the world. Your biggest pride as parents must be having you as their son. I actually understand the greatest pain of being a mother. I abandoned my son, just like the grandmother you mentioned, aimlessly seeking freedom by abandoning my own son. You know, actually, it’s very difficult for a mother to make such a decision, right?”

”I don’t care why she chose to abandon our family. I just want to know why she made such a decision back then, abandoning all of us. Were we nothing to her? Why was my grandma so selfish? I only want to understand why my grandma decided this, leaving my heart unable to balance for a lifetime. Maybe it’s the excessive hopes that make thoughts uncalm for life, but I believe I will understand everything one day. Alright, I should go home now...”

Thinking of everything back then, the pains in my heart, who can truly understand the pressure and torment within me?
