My Alleged Husband

Chapter 647: Chapter 626 Comfort_1

Old Master Zhang was very clear in his heart that he no longer had any right to interfere in the domestic affairs between his grandson and his granddaughter-in-law. He understood that everyone needs to grow, and only through continuous growth can one’s life become meaningful. At first, his growth had brought him many painful memories, but these memories would ultimately turn into the most beautiful recollections in his heart. No matter what career he eventually chose or what experiences he went through, every choice he made would make him happy for the efforts he had put in and leave no regrets.

”Grandpa, thank you for your encouragement today. I will never forget what you said to me. If one day I truly achieve great success, I will definitely come back here to find you, because you gave me the best comfort. You made me realize that my life is not lonely, that there is happiness and joy to be found, and that as long as I keep moving forward to explore what lies ahead, I will live a happy life. Nobody knows what the future holds or can plan in advance for the rest of their life.”

Yes, I believe that, just as you said, one day I will definitely study abroad. One day, I will show all those who have comforted me and encouraged me that they were right about me because I have proven to them with my efforts that I am one of the best people in the world—I can climb to the pinnacle of life step by step through my own hard work and carve out my own territory with my own two hands, relying on no one else. Each decision I make will ultimately shape the most perfect life I could lead!

I have already given so much sincerity to people, but I don’t understand which path to choose to lead a happy life without ever being hurt again. I realize that some things can’t be achieved just by wanting them, and everyone’s way of having a happy life is different. Therefore, I have no right to dictate someone else’s happiness. All I can do is make my life joyful and happy, and not meaningless like before!”

”Child, Grandpa knows that you must have your reasons for saying so, and you believe that all these decisions will be a key point in your future life.

Perhaps I should, as you said, stop interfering in the family relations and lives of my own family members. Everyone’s path is different, and I should let them pursue the life they desire, enabling them to have trust in each other. Only a marriage built on trust can go the distance. I cannot control the world by what I want alone.

Everyone’s life presents different choices, and no one knows what consequences they will bring or what one’s life will turn into in the end. It’s all about making one’s own choices, exploring step by step, and moving forward without fear of being hurt. Then, one day, he will discover that there are many different things in this world!

Maybe when I finally understand all the keys to this, I’ll realize that everything I’ve done had its flaws. I shouldn’t have demanded so strongly that my family members make the same choices as me because there is no such thing as a perfect person or identical lives. Every life is unique. Alas, it’s only now that I’ve come to understand why I haven’t communicated with my son for so many years.

This is the deepest pain in my heart. I always thought that as long as I wanted something, my son would fulfill all the goals I had as a father, but I never considered how much pain and growth he had in his heart, why should I read into his life and impose my beliefs on him? Maybe it was my selfishness that made my child reluctant to live with me, his father, and turned my own son cold towards me.”

”Grandpa, I’m very happy to have this conversation with you today. However, everyone must walk their own path, and no one can make all decisions for someone else. Life presents different roles to everyone. Is a life full of your own selfish actions, causing pain to your loved ones over and over again, really what you want?

Don’t dictate others’ lives with your own perspective, because that is unfair to everyone. While I appreciate your comfort, some consolation is still necessary when facing family. Without any comfort for your family, how could they ever truly regard you?

I really hope that one day there will be a qualitative leap between you all.”

Actually, your grandson’s family is still very happy. No matter what motives they have or what they’ve been through, even if they start arguing, they have never stopped trusting each other. Sometimes they are just confused, unsure of what decisions to make or whom to believe.

Some things must be clarified. If not now, misunderstandings will grow deeper over time, and it could eventually become uncontrollable.

I believe that for any family, a harmonious home is of utmost importance. Whether a family is harmonious represents the hope of that family. If there’s no harmony and is instead filled with distrust, how can the members of that family live happily? And who can truly dedicate their faith to someone for a lifetime?”

Old Master Zhang felt that what the doctor in front of him said made a lot of sense.
