My Alleged Husband

Chapter 627: Chapter 606 I’ll Consider It_1

”Grandpa, I know without you having to say it, the Zhang Family certainly has the ability to grow wealthier and more powerful, with investments in every corner. They’d keep people from having a harmonious family life; he would ensure I never leave this place for the sake of his investments. Grandpa, you really don’t need to treat me like this. Why must everyone hurt me so? I just want to live a peaceful life. Why is that so difficult? Is it because I chose to be with him from the start, that my life can never be stable?”

No one can understand the feelings I had when I first sought him out. After searching for so many years, I ended up with these results. I thought that as long as I could live with him, as long as he was willing to stand by me, whatever issues arose between us as husband and wife, we could still live happily. But I was wrong. I failed to make that happen, and he never trusted me. I don’t understand what choices I should make for him to see what’s best for us.”

You always think it’s my fault when something goes wrong, never reflecting on your own issues. You always blame others. How can one grow that way? I contemplated pushing all responsibility away so I could leave completely. Would I have faced a different outcome in the end? I hesitated because I couldn’t abandon my child. I need to set an example for him, to show that one must bravely face the consequences of their own mistakes, no matter how risky or how much criticism they face.”

”Zhihan, you really need to think it over. I don’t know what’s going on between you and your husband. Don’t try to shirk your responsibility. Even if you say nothing, I still know. What have you done? What has my grandson said to you? Though I may be in the hospital, I understand very well the character of my grandson. As for you, you ought to reflect on why you would hurt the one you sleep next to. Whether intentional or not, a mistake is a mistake. Isn’t it right for you to face the consequences? Do you now have any reason or right to doubt others? Should others keep taking the blame and forgiving you for the wrongs you’ve done?”

No one is a fool willing to indulge a nonsensical woman. Nobody can ignore certain things, turn a blind eye or a deaf ear. Even if he discovered something unintentionally and didn’t expose it, it was just to give each other a chance, hoping that the other would come forward and confess. But if concealment continued, how could such a marriage go on? Don’t keep expecting others to treat you well, but also think about what you have done to embarrass them.”

Zhihan was stunned; she had not realized that Old Master Zhang knew everything all along. He had chosen to stay silent, leaving her in the dark, believing her to be naive. She came to him now only to gradually absolve herself, to gracefully exit and cool off, and to see if her husband would come seeking her out. However, before she could leave, such a mess unfolded.

”Grandpa, it’s not what you think. I haven’t done anything, but why do you insist on blaming me just because my last name isn’t Zhang?”

Old Master Zhang chuckled. He had not expected this woman, who seemed so pure, to be capable of scheming. When had he ever said that because she wasn’t a Zhang, all blame should be placed on her? Was the manliness of the Zhang Family over so many years going to rely on a girl to take the fall?

”You should know I haven’t said anything, nor have I ever said such a thing. Are you thinking that I would take the blame for you? When did you learn to manipulate like this? Do you realize there is surveillance here, that every word you say is being recorded? If your husband were to see or hear what you said today, what would he think of you? You thought you could have a complete marriage; did you not consider how to manage your relationship with your husband? The mistakes you’ve made, could it be that they haven’t harmed anyone but yourself?”

You surely know, with a man’s pride, he will surely punish a woman who has betrayed their marriage. And yet you have never thought about whose fault it is; you continue to cast blame on others. With so little responsibility on your part, how can you be a good mother to your son? He is still young, he needs positive influences, and all you convey is negative energy. Do you think you deserve to be a mother, to tell me about unconditional maternal love? Have you genuinely offered him that? ”

”I’ll consider it. I will think about everything you said today and seriously reflect on my actions. But I hope you won’t tell my husband about my visit today; I trust you and I don’t want our marriage to worsen. You’re a good person, and my actions will only end up hurting him. I hope that I can prove through my actions that my mistake was truly unintentional, and that my husband can give me another chance!”

”Alright, go home and think it through, so you’re not constantly coming here to complain when, in the end, it is all your own responsibility. I will support your husband and speak to him, but you still need to understand what should and shouldn’t be done. If you truly decide to leave, you’d be abandoning your entire happy family!”
