My Alleged Husband

Chapter 628: Chapter 607 No Place to Hide_1

”Child, you should know that although the world is so vast and you can go to many places, do you really feel that the world has a place for you to belong?”

Well, sometimes willfulness comes at a painful price, and no one should let you be willful over and over again, yet she forgave you time and time again without any obligation, and you always took it for granted, never caring about how others felt. That’s impossible.

Everyone has their own way of living.

Elder Zhang really disapproves of the way you live because you are gambling with your own child’s happiness. Do you really have the heart to do that? Seeing your child who is only five years old and is about to turn six, yet you as a mother chose to separate from his father, you as a mother chose to make him a child of single parenthood. What do you think goes on inside his little mind?

I have no right to judge whether what you did was selfish or what, but I do know that once you make such a decision, you’ll never have a chance to regret it in this lifetime. Not everything in the world allows for regret. You should understand that many things, once decided, there will never be anyone to explain to you whether it was right or wrong. You’re an adult now and should bear the consequences of your actions. If you choose this way, and if your child grows up to find out the truth, that it’s because of you, his mother, that things have become this way, do you think he would choose to hate you?”

Ran Zhihan fell silent. To be honest, he had taken in every word Old Master Zhang had said. He just didn’t know how to express his inner thoughts. The idea that his own child might choose to hate his mother, how painful would that be in his heart, and how would he face it all? Yet when it came to speaking, he felt powerless. Many things can’t simply be changed with a few words.

No woman hopes for her marriage to shatter, they all wish for a happy life in a happy marriage. But fate doesn’t always add glory to everyone’s life according to their wishes, instead presenting the brilliance of life through trials and hardships again and again.

At this moment, his heart was truly desperate. He knew the cruel outcome his actions could bring to his child.

He couldn’t bear to do it, no matter what, this was his own flesh and blood. How could a mother bear to let her child suffer so much? Many things were haunting his mind, and he didn’t understand which path he should choose. He only knew that not everything he did was right, but how he wished that if one day he really made such a decision, and his child chose to hate him, how should he face his child then? Would his child ever understand a mother’s feelings if all the consequences were the result of his own wilfulness?

”Grandfather, I really don’t know what to do anymore. Every single thing I do, I truly just hope for a happy life in this family. I never thought that one day my actions would cause this family to be so troubled. I don’t want these troubles to continue. I just hope that one day my child can proudly say that I am a good mother and feel pride for having me as their mother.

You are right, I shouldn’t gamble with my child’s happiness. My child is my heart and soul. I’ve worked hard to raise him all these years, gave birth to him after carrying him for ten months. I care for him deeply, more than anyone could know. But I only hope that he grows up happy, without letting anything affect his development. That would be enough for me as a mother!”

I also understand that there are many things you can’t avoid. Dodging and hiding only mean that eventually you’ll have to face them and fighting it is better than causing more trouble. I know everyone’s inner thoughts are different, like my current thoughts. I just want my child to live a happy life, nothing else. I have not thought about living happy myself anymore, I just want my son to be proud of me as his mother for his entire life, and that would be enough.”

”Actually, you should really understand now that in the end, you have nowhere to hide. The world is too large, but you can never escape from his palms. The entire world’s economy is in his hands. Do you think you have any way to avoid his pursuit? Since you have no way out, then don’t struggle in vain. It will only make your relationship with each other grow further apart. Leave each other a way out, do not be ruthless, otherwise, in the end, the harm will only come to the kind-hearted person in your hearts!”

”For the sake of your child, as a mother, indeed, you should bravely pay any price and need not fear suffering any difficulties or pain for your son. But I also hope that you can live bravely. You’re the granddaughter-in-law I hold in high regard, how can I bear to see you and my precious grandson end up like this? I am not a person who doesn’t understand right from wrong, on the contrary, this old man has seen through all the rights and wrongs of this world. I don’t care about the ins and outs of these matters. What I care about is whether the family can finally live in peace, whether we can be united and respect each other throughout a lifetime, without any more conflicts over anything!”

”Grandfather, you are right. The world is so large, where can I take my son to? I just never imagined that in this vast world, we would end up with no place to belong. The entire world’s economy is in his hands, no one dares to take us in, and no one can stand against him. Gradually, I’ve come to understand. Many things shouldn’t be forced. What is mine will eventually be mine, and if it’s not meant to be mine, no amount of desire will change the outcome. Why not let go and allow myself to be happy, and also let those who once loved me live forever carefree and smiling. Isn’t that more important than anything else?”
