Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 273: Chapter 214: Short Bow (Part 2)

Wei Ziang didn’t waste words, directly opening the wooden box and turning it towards Xiaomi.

”This is for you.”

Xiaomi was first stunned, then her face lit up with joy: ”A short bow! Such a beautiful short bow, where did you get such a beautiful short bow?”

A short bow as long as Xiaomi’s arm, very delicate, with some simple patterns on it.

Not only was there a bow, but it was also strung, with a small set of matching arrows beside it.

After the surprise, Xiaomi hurriedly picked up the bow and arrows, touching them fondly.

The arrows were made from a kind of very hard wood, and the arrowheads weren’t entirely iron, but wrapped with a thin layer of iron sheet.

If the force was enough, they could definitely cause some damage.

”So beautiful, such a pretty short bow, how did you get it? Did you buy it, big brother?”

As soon as she finished speaking, she realized something was off; this bow and arrow were too beautiful. She tried how it felt in her hand, and although she had never used this kind of thing, it felt really good to her.

Xiaomi trusted her own feelings, so she thought this bow was definitely not cheap.

Wei Ziang had had some pocket money these past two years, but definitely not a lot, at most a couple hundred copper coins, even less than her, since Wei Ziang had only been at the Jiang family for about three years.

That many copper coins certainly wouldn’t be enough to buy these.

Just about to say something again, Wei Ziang shook his head: ”No, I made this myself. Haven’t you always wanted one? So I tried making it myself.”

Xiaomi’s eyes widened: ”You made it yourself?”

Recalling the pile of wood chips in her room, she blushed!

Wei Ziang, on the other hand, was calm and composed: ”Yes, but Uncle Jiang bought the animal tendons, and he also paid for the arrowheads.”

Xiaomi touched the short bow: ”So this bow, you really made it with your own hands?”

So impressive!

Xiaomi looked at Wei Ziang with starry eyes.

She, with a thirty-year-old mindset, wasn’t even as skilled as an eight-year-old child!

Wei Ziang, trying hard to maintain his calm demeanor, finally cracked a smile, the corners of his eyes slightly curved, his gaze softened considerably.

”I also failed several times before succeeding. When Xiaomi is older, we can find some better wood and make you a bigger one, but for now, this peach wood short bow should suffice.”

Xiaomi nodded vigorously: ”Uh-huh, it’s definitely enough, big brother, you’re amazing!”

Wei Ziang tried hard to control his expression, attempting to appear very calm.

Just then, Jiang Yu entered from outside.

”Hey, Ziang, is this the short bow you made? You wouldn’t let us see it before, and it turns out it looks like this.”

Jiang Yu strode into the room, raising his hand to take a look, only for Xiaomi to dodge swiftly.

”Big brother, this is mine, little brother gave it to me!” Xiaomi hugged the short bow tightly to her chest, glaring at Jiang Yu as if guarding against a thief.

Jiang Yu was speechless: ”I’m just taking a look; I won’t break it. Why so precious?”

Xiaomi pouted: ”It is precious, okay? You know it took me so long and I still couldn’t make one.”

Jiang Yu had to admit this, even nodding with some agreement: ”Besides embroidery, it’s rare for something to be outside your ability, but Ziang, how do you know how to make this?”

When Xiaomi first indulged in making bows and arrows, both Jiang Hu and Jiang Yu tried, but unfortunately failed.

Seeing Xiaomi’s determination not to give up until she succeeded, Jiang Hu was even ready to just buy one.

But Wei Ziang stopped him, saying that he could give it a try himself.

And lo and behold, he actually succeeded.

Wei Ziang: ”I learned from books, I just tried a few times and got it.”

This wasn’t false.

Xiaomi and Jiang Yu both showed admiration: ”You’re amazing, aren’t you?”

She even had ready-made bows and arrows in her space yet couldn’t figure it out by copying them.

Wei Ziang only smiled lightly. He didn’t know why, but making this short bow indeed felt smooth, only failing three times before completing it.

Even the bowstring, he strung himself, fitting perfectly.

Wei Ziang gestured for Xiaomi to put the short bow back in the box: ”Xiaomi, put it back in your room first. We’re off tomorrow, so I’ll teach you then.”

Xiaomi’s eyes lit up: ”Big brother, you know how?”

Jiang Yu also looked at him with curiosity: ”Ziang, how do you know everything? We haven’t seen you play with these at all these years, did you know how to before? But weren’t you supposed to have amnesia?”
