Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 258: Chapter 209: Spatial Changes (Part 2)

Xiaomi nodded in understanding, she somewhat got it; basically, it seemed like the whole space was Ling’er’s conception.

As Xiaomi observed the changes in the space, she asked her, ”Did you contact me a few years ago? Told me to plant more things?”

”Yes, the space needs to absorb the life energy emitted by the growth of plants and animals, only then can it upgrade.”

”Actually, the energy stored in the space was almost depleted before, in that case, both I and the space would disappear together, even the owner’s consciousness might be affected.”

”But thanks to the owner’s sudden whim of starting to plant crops in the space, we were saved.”

The Artifact Spirit became more excited as it spoke, even Xiaomi was surprised enough to withdraw her gaze: ”That’s so powerful, no wonder you reminded me before.”

Ling’er laughed a few times: ”At that time, I had only recovered a little bit of consciousness, so I thought I’d say a few words to the owner, but who knew even just those few words consumed a lot of energy, then I fell asleep again.”

Having gotten used to the sound coming from all directions, it didn’t feel so strange anymore.

Xiaomi slowly walked to the yard that had completely changed: ”Then now, why can you talk to me freely without worrying about exhausting energy?”

”It’s different now, the space has upgraded, and I’ve stabilized along with it, not only can I communicate with the young owner, but also, I can help the owner manage the trivial matters in the space in the future.”

About to push the door, Xiaomi stopped in surprise: ”So powerful?”

”Yes, I am the Artifact Spirit, after all, the consciousness born from this space. As long as the owner grants me permission, I can assist with most things the owner can do.”

Xiaomi became interested: ”Specifically, what can’t you do even if I give you permission?”

”Hmm~,” Ling’er thought for a moment: ”For example, leaving the space, taking things out of the space, or bringing things in from outside?”

”Oh right, there’s also the yard, which is the owner’s private area. Except for the two warehouses, my consciousness can’t reach other areas.”

Xiaomi understood, her heart moved: ”So, does that mean you can also help me harvest and plant these crops and such in the space?”

”Of course, I can even tidy them up and store everything in the warehouse for you, the owner can leave this task to me and save the trouble in the future.”

Xiaomi was delighted, after so many years of doing those tasks daily, even though it didn’t require manual labor, just controlling with consciousness, it was still quite boring over time!

Upon asking Ling’er how to set the permissions, the answer was unexpectedly simple: the owner just needs to think about it!

The space belongs to Xiaomi, and Ling’er is the space, naturally, a mere thought from Xiaomi can determine Ling’er’s permissions.

Ling’er, having received the permission, cheered and went off to work.

Pruning the fruit trees, watering the crops, feeding the chickens, ducks, and geese, she was having a great deal of fun.

It was then that Xiaomi carefully examined the yard before her.

The once small gate and small household had now expanded to more than double its size.

Not only had the yard expanded, but the entire space had increased by double, allowing for more things to be planted.

It certainly had upgraded.

Fortunately, Ling’er appeared, so with the increased workload, even the help had arrived, leaving Xiaomi completely free from worrying about these matters.

Upon opening the door, the original small farmhouse courtyard had transformed into a two-entry courtyard; opening the house’s gate led to the front yard, with the inverted room next to the gate, usually where servants of large households reside.

The path was paved with stone slabs, and the huamen to the inner courtyard was a bit to the side, turning a corner following the path to enter.

On both sides were corridors with shadow walls, with exquisite patterns carved into the blue bricks.

Upon entering the inner courtyard, rooms flanked either side; directly opposite was the main room and study. Past the courtyard, at the back were the kitchen and wood storage rooms.

Xiaomi roughly browsed through the place, and this yard was even larger than her home!

Although the layout of the yard had changed, the two warehouses, the main room, and the Spiritual Spring water were all still there, all undergoing some degree of change.

Overall, everything had grown larger, even the Spiritual Spring well was deeper, and water storage capacity had increased.

In the main room, the incense that was lit last time had burned out, so Xiaomi quickly lit another stick before closing the door and leaving.

A huge watermelon floated from afar, eventually drifting into the warehouse, and Xiaomi gave a mental thumbs-up, truly worthy of being an Artifact Spirit, so impressive!
