Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 255: Chapter 208: Who Do You Miss More? (Part 2)

Although I can’t remember it anymore, the influence remains.

Xiaomi first squinted her eyes and lay on the table, and soon closed her eyes, as if she was sleepy, but in fact, she directly entered the space.

In recent years, the frequency of using the space seems to have decreased a lot. Other than going in occasionally to check on the growth of crops, there’s nothing else to do.

She walked around the space and put all the mature things into the warehouse. Looking at the pile of fruit, she started to worry again.

It’s been six years, and she has planted every sapling or seed she could find in the space, and they all basically started bearing fruit in the past two years.

Unfortunately, many of these things she had never seen in Xiangma Town, and she didn’t dare to randomly give them to her family to eat.

Not only that, in recent years, not to mention chicken eggs, duck eggs, and goose eggs, the warehouse also stored a lot of processed chicken, duck, goose, and rabbit meat.

After all, the space is limited. These animals can’t be left to reproduce endlessly, can they?

Luckily, these things are available at home, so she can occasionally take some out to mix and eat together.

Xiaomi sighed deeply and turned to walk by the pond.

All kinds of fish, eels, and turtles are kept here. Fish and eels are alright as they can reproduce on their own; she just takes them out.

But turtles are different; it’s said that they take four or five years to mature and then lay eggs.

These past few years haven’t been very lucky. Although she caught a few small turtles, she has not found any turtle eggs.

Fortunately, all these twenty-four little turtles in the space survived well, with both males and females. Given the suitable climate in the space, they will likely start laying eggs by the latest next year.

Xiaomi walked around the space and saw the grape vines laden with fruit, making her mouth water, but unfortunately, she is a spirit now and can’t eat.

If she takes them out, the first question would be where they came from, and eating them sneakily would make her feel guilty.

So by now, there are several large boxes of grapes or raisins in the space. They look glossy and tempting, but Xiaomi hasn’t eaten a single one.

Just as she was about to leave, a thought suddenly crossed her mind: ”Huh? Can’t grapevines be propagated with cuttings?”

Immediately, she quickly went to a small patch of the vineyard, and with a thought, several branches broke off by themselves.

The soil on the ground automatically turned loose, and a globule of Spiritual Spring water floated over. The half-foot-long grape cuttings were inserted into the soil and watered with the Spiritual Spring water.

If successful, the effects should be noticeable within half a month at most.

Just after finishing these tasks, she heard some sounds outside, quickly left the space, rubbed her eyes, and stood up yawning.

”Mom, you’re back. Where’s Dad?”

Second Aunt had just set down the hoe and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

”Your dad is putting away the plow, Xiao Hua came over and ran into him just now. Xiaoxue is at home every afternoon. If you have time, you can come and play.”

Zhang Xiaohua realized that Second Aunt had agreed to let Xiaoxue teach her embroidery.

”Thank you, Auntie!”

Second Aunt waved her hand: ”No problem, you guys have fun, I’m going to drink some water.”

The water taken to the fields was all gone, and she was very thirsty.

After working hard for several days, they finally managed to clear the fields temporarily. After a few days of rest, it’s time to harvest the rice.

Jiang Hu had already found people in advance. When the Jiang family’s rice was ready to be harvested, they would harvest it first.

Of course, if it’s not ripe, they’ll attend to their own work.

Harvesting rice is a race against time, and Jiang Hu didn’t want to delay others, so he hired quite a few people, enough to finish harvesting in one day.

Once that’s done, they just need to dry the rice, process it, and bag it, which the couple can do by themselves, even if it takes a few more days.

In the evening, Xiaomi propped up the window, letting a cool breeze blow in, which felt very refreshing.

Xiaoxue placed the oil lamp on the table beside the bed.

In the evening, the Jiang family usually didn’t read or embroider, so the oil lamp sufficed.

Xiaomi turned over and lay on her pillow, ”Second sister, do you blame me?”

She belatedly realized that she hadn’t gotten her second sister’s consent.

”Huh? What do you mean?” Xiaoxue hadn’t quite understood.

”Teaching Sister Xiao Hua embroidery, I agreed to it without asking you first.”

Xiaoxue straightened the quilt: ”That’s fine, I think Xiao Hua is quite nice. It’s actually interesting to have her come over every afternoon to accompany me for embroidery.”

Xiaomi recalled that while teaching and learning in the afternoon, they kept chatting, even though it was mainly about feeding chickens and pigs, they seemed to have a lot in common.
