The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After Kaito brought Manaka to teleport to Aika’s office room at the base, they both immediately saw that many people were waiting for them. In fact, way too many... as Kaito feels the room is cramped!

”Good evening, Kaito. It seems like you’re enjoying your time with Manaka~” Aika immediately greeted him in a friendly tone. Still, her eyes were full of hostility, as were Sakuya’s and Ravel’s eyes too.

Seeing Aika looking at Manaka, who was still pressing her chest to his arm, Kaito could only sigh. Despite having already been warned, Manaka still chose to stick with him, clearly not afraid of provoking all of his ’harem’ members in the room.

”Uh... Thank you.” Kaito smiled wryly and then looked at the people gathered around him, ignoring the woman who jealously directed her gaze at him.

Kaito then remembered that they only had 7 members in team 1, but Kaito wondered why there were so many people in this room...

”Wait... Red A?! Medea? Sasaki Kojiro? Merlin? Atlanta? Jeanne.... there are so many servants here!” Kaito exclaimed, ”And damn, you are also here, Gilgamesh!!

”Ahahaha! We meet again, blonde boy!”

Kaito, who would never forget his toughest battle enemy, immediately recognized Gilgamesh’s arrogant face, who was looking at Kaito with an amused expression.

”Shut up! Why are you still calling boy?!”

”Because you are younger, am I wrong?”

”...You are so annoying.”

”Hah! Back to you, boy. You have an issue destroying the whole country just to defeat me... hahahaha!” Gilgamesh smirked.

”...”

Can’t refute his words, as it stung his heart. Kaito then changed the topic. ”...Sigh, what’s going on here? Why are there so many servants?”

Hearing Kaito question, Manaka, who stood beside him, chuckled and stated, ”Pfft... Of course, it’s me who summons them. Silly Kaito.”

”Ah.”

Kaito then immediately remembered that Manaka did summon servants to help her search for Est’s soul fragment in this world, but he didn’t expect Manaka to summon dozens of them... and a lot of them are not ordinary servants either.

’Where did she get all of these servants? Did Manaka steal them from Chaldea? Wait, in the first place, why would Alaya allow her helper to come to this world?’

’But what kind of threat are we going to face now?!’ Kaito thought dreadfully, realizing if the fricking Gilgamesh is here, then Scorpion (buffed) might be more dangerous than he imagined.

...

”Is it confirmed that Scorpiom has the Est soul fragment in it?” Kaito sat in his seat and continued to ask seriously, ”...How did you find it out?”

”Unfortunately, Yes.” Red Archer (Emiya) stepped forward, much to Kaito’s confusion, and then explained, ”While we were patrolling around the northern sea area of Japan, I met a very dangerous Gastrea creature, which I identified as Scorpion, albeit much bigger than it is.”

...

Red Archer (Adult Emiya/Guardian) then continues to explain that the gastrea creature he saw was much larger than the one he received from Manaka’s memory. Suspicious of his findings, Red Archer attempts to attack it with a ’caladbolg’, but the creature easily repels his attacks... and forces him to retreat momentarily when the Scorpion tries to strike back with a tentacle imbued with eerie and dangerous curse energy...

Unfortunately, when Archer tries to investigate further about Scorpion, the creature suddenly dives into the ocean and quickly disappears, and even Red Archer can no longer sense its energy whereabouts after it dives down.

Receiving this news, Aika quickly decided to confirm this finding with the chat group system, ignoring the cost. Although it was a bit expensive for her at 30,000 points, Aika managed to get a positive reaction that Est’s soul fragment was indeed in Scorpion... and also gained valuable information. The curse attached to Est’s soul fragment has an intelligence and is quite wary of Kaito and chat group members.

The system explained that the curse could conceptually hide itself, making the items Kaito made useless if they wanted to hide... unless Kaito was capable of creating tools that could crack the ’concept’ itself.

This explained a lot; despite Kaito having come out with a tool to detect Est’s soul fragments, they were still unable to make any meaningful progress whatsoever after retrieving their first fragment.

Kaito remembers how difficult it was to retrieve the first Est soul fragment as it had consciousness to fight back, and Kaito had no doubt the other curse’s Est soul fragment also had one.

On top of that information, Aika also explained her hypothesis that while those cursed energies were afraid of Kaito, those curses were also attracted to the protagonist of the world-- and in the worst case, those curses may have the power to swallow the protagonist’s power and become stronger from it.

This hypothesis could also explain why the tips the system gives them are to follow the world plot, because as long as the protagonist is still alive, the curse attached to their Est soul fragment will appear on its own to hunt the protagonist at some point.

....

”Damn... I owe you a lot, Aika. You are amazing,” Kaito praised while wondering if the curse inside him is also a sentient being or not. ”I guess we need to be prepared for a big fight.”

”Anyway... where’s Kagetane?” Kaito asked while remember, remembering that his purpose was to meet this antagonist clown guy.

Aika immediately pointed at Hiruko Kagetane and her daughter, currently unconscious and tightly tied with rope in the corner of the room.

”There he is. Don’t worry, we put him to sleep because this guy is annoying.” Aika chimmed in.

”Ahaha... ha... I guess that’s true.” Kaito nodded in agreement, remembering how arrogant and annoying he was back then in the meeting, literally challenging everyone and blatantly harming everyone in the room.

”Well, since you are here. Let’s wake him up.” Aika shrugged and then stated, ”We need him to cooperate with him after all.”

*Click*

After saying that, Aika quickly flicked her finger to wake them up, as they had been put to sleep by magic. Almost immediately, Hiruko Kagetane and Kohina opened their eyes, albeit feeling a bit drowsy as the effect of sleepiness by magic is a bit too much for a normal human without resistance to supernatural things whatsoever.

”P-Papa? I can’t move?! We are getting tied!”

”Calm down, my daughter.” Hiruko ordered his daughter calmly and explained, ”...We’re in a situation where it’s impossible to escape, especially since they seem to have supernatural powers.”

Since waking up, as an ex-military soldier, Hiruko Kagetane was immediately alert to his surroundings and quickly remembered what had happened before.

Without any notice, the two of them were somehow transported to this room instantly, defeated easily by them, and forced to sleep. Hiruko immediately concluded that the enemy had supernatural abilities that couldn’t be explained logically whatsoever, and his instincts told him that everyone in this room had similar powers and couldn’t be offended.

...

”Hello, Hiruko Kagetane.” Kaito greeted him, ”We meet again.”

”This man! He is the nasty older brother who wanted to stop us!” Kohina yelled at him.

”Nasty?!” Kaito twitched his mouth.

”Kohina, stay quiet, let me talk with this older brother.” Hiruko stopped his daughter and politely greeted him back, ”Hello, Kaito-san.”

Hiruko, who was getting tied by rope, could only look up at him as he couldn’t even stand up. ”I didn’t expect we’d meet again this way... and I am thankful you didn’t kill me back then.”

”Indeed. I also didn’t expect my friend wanted to capture you.” Kaito shrugged. ”Everything moves so fast and I barely understand what’s going on anymore.”

”I see. So they are your friend, right?” Hiruko inquired, ”Then, I assume you also have supernatural power?”

”Master is one of the strongest among us, clown.” Sakuya answered on her master’s behalf, ”You were lucky because a master doesn’t want to kill you.”

...!!

Hearing her answer, Hiruko Kagetane just shrugged instead of getting afraid. ”No wonder I feel something weird when I fought back then. Like you were holding back on me.”

”Then, instead of killing me, your friend just captured me and Kohina.”

”Is there something you need us to help with, Master Kaito?”

...!!

Hearing Hiruko quickly understand what’s going on, a lot of members were genuinely impressed.

”He is a smart person.” (Erina)

”Jerk.” (Red A)

”Quite interesting person.” (Gilgamesh)

”Yeah, this guy might be crazy, but he won’t survive this long if he doesn’t have a brain.” (Kaito)

”He is quite good at reading the situation.” (Manaka)

...

”And I like to talk with smart people.” Aika then also came forward and offered to him, ”Hiruko Kagetane, we need you in our plan, so are you willing to cooperate with us?”

Looking at Aika, who seems to be ordering people around him, Hiruko politely asked, ”Oh... who are you, milady?”

”My name is Fuwa Aika. I am the one who ordered people here to capture you, and the vice leader of this place.” Aika introduced herself fearlessly. ”Then, let’s start from this. Can you tell me who gave you the order to steal the relic, the legacy of the seven stars?”

”Pffft! Since you have captured me easily, I don’t believe that you can’t figure that out, millady!”

Hearing Aika question, Hiruko laughed maniacally, thinking that maybe that old geezer would soon meet his doom. ”Hahahaha! Naturally, Tendo Kikunojo ordered me to do this, the right-hand man of Seitenshi herself!”

...!!

Most of the people who heard his answer were shocked by the revelation, but some smart people who have analyzed the story in their memories, such as Aika, Manaka, and some other smart servants in this room, already guessed it a long time ago.

”Yeah... but can you tell us his purpose? Just to confirm the situation.”

”Of course, millady.” Hiruko nodded excitedly. ”Then listen! The purpose of that old man doing this is to increase awareness of the fear and hatred of Gastrea creatures so that the law for cursed children is difficult for Tokyo society to accept!! And he hopes more people to hate cursed children!”

”But why...” (Ravel)

”Digsuting.” (Erina)

”Young lady, that old man hates the Gastrea creature who has history killed his family! And he thinks all the cursed children are the same, so he would do anything to prevent such a law from ever passing!”

”So, he is a racist, got it.” (Kaito)

”You guys are capturing me because you wanted to prevent Gastrea level 5 from destroying Tokyo, right?!”

Hiruko asked confidently, grinned behind his clown mask, ”So, after hearing this, do you want to kill him too?! After all, as long as he is alive, there’s no way for Tokyo to accept the cursed children law from passing!”

...!!!!

”...”

Hearing Hiruko’s provocation and taunting, many of the people and servants in the room felt furious, but Aika and Kaito knew that, even though what Tendo Kikunojo did was unforgivable, killing him would only make the situation in Tokyo chaotic and unsafe-- something that none of them wanted it to happen.

At least until they evacuate all cursed children and clean all Gastrea creatures on the planet.

”Shut up, Hiruko.” Kaito gnashed his teeth. ”I hate that old man, but if we kill him right away, the whole city will turn into chaos. That’s something you want to see, right?”

From memory, they already know that Hiruko only wants to cause chaos and destruction, and even has the desire to destroy the world! Naturally, there’s no way Aika wanted to let the chat group members do what Hiruko wanted, and fortunately, no one in the chat group was dumb enough to fall into his provocation.

”Pffft...” Hiruko shrugged, ”Well.. Well... Who knows?”

”Thank you for answering our question, Mr. Hiruko.” Aika quickly took over the conversation and sat down in front of him. ”Now let’s talk about cooperating.”

”Cooperating? What can I help you, group of supernatural people?”

”We hope you still summon the level 5 Gastrea, but let’s not do it close to Tokyo Area.” Aika stated the part of her deal, ”Accept the deal, and we will release you to do your part.”

”...Do I even have any choice here?”

Although Hiruko is kind of afraid of Tendo Kikunojo’s anger due to him not following the agreement, knowing people in front of them are even capable of teleporting him directly to their base, Hiruko knows these people should be capable of killing him anytime, too.

In fact, this gives Hiruko new hope about something else... since these people have superpowers, he believes there’s a high chance they also have a way to prevent his beloved daughter, Kohina, from turning into the nasty Gastrea creature!

”I am willing to join this charade... But can I request something on my end?”

”Say it.”

”I wish you guys were willing to prevent Kohina from becoming a Gastrea creature and protect her, if I were killed in the mission.” Hiruko sincerely requested, ”And I promise I will follow whatever you want to do.

...!!!

”Papa?! What are you saying!?” Kohina, who has been quietly listening to their conversation,  is genuinely shocked hearing her papa request and immediately complain, ”There’s no way I would let Papa get killed!”

”It’s for a safety measure, my daughter.” Hiruko looked at his daughter kindly behind the mask. ”After I have too many enemies out there.”

”B-But I only want to live with Papa!”

”Yeah, I know. Don’t worry, but listen to my order, okay! Papa is here, believe me.”

””...””

Hearing Hiruko’s request and his conversation with his daughter, many people looked at him with a new light, albeit they didn’t expect there was still a good part of this crazy person. Despite being a pure evil clown, it seems he genuinely cares for his daughter and only wishes the best for her.

In a way, while he’s a pure villain, Hiruko Kagetane is also a good father who genuinely cares for his partner and feeds her daughter quite well.

”We can promise you that.” Aika nodded and then stated, ”But you need to follow us, as naturally we are going to summon the Gastrea level 5 far away from the Tokyo area to defeat it.”

”Wait, Aika.” Kaito quickly intercepted the conversation, as he suddenly came up with a ridiculous idea: ”I want us to publicly show ourselves to the public before the fight happens and introduce ourselves.”

???

”Kayaba, can you hack all the monitors in Tokyo tomorrow? And Aika, can you tell the chat group members later to come to this world?”

????

Since it’s impossible to hide their presence when they are fighting the level 5 Scorpion when enhanced with curse, they might as well introduce themselves to the world with a bang. Kaito also has so many things to say about this world-- he is genuinely fed up with this world and feels he would explode if he didn’t release all of it.

Although Kaito’s idea sounds childish and ridiculous, none of the members object to it since they understood Kaito’s thought process and let him do whatever he wants.

They have seen what this fucked world has to offer, and each of them has witnessed so many bad things; none of them can imagine what Kaito has seen since he’s already saving thousands of cursed children out there alone, and it makes sense for Kaito to need to have a release for that.

None of them understands that Kaito’s stress level is already very dangerous to the point it has begun to warp his process, and it would be far too late later when chat group members realize what happened to their leader.
