The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

Kaito, whose physical condition was not fit, clearly did not want to accept Gilgamesh’s challenge, especially since Rin and Shirou’s situation was still unknown.

’But I don’t have a choice...’

However, Kaito also knew that Gilgamesh’s threat could not be ignored, because Sakura was also part of an optional mission and had to be saved.

It was clear that Sakura had become a hostage to keep him in here... preventing him from helping his master-- who might be in dire situation.

...

”...Where did you put Sakura? Hero King?”

”That purple-hair girl?” Hearing Kaito’s question, Gilgamesh sneered, ”Boy, I am not stupid. I won’t tell you, but I can tell you she is safe with Kirei.”

”With Kirei... That’s a bad news...” Kaito commented while frowning because being with the crazy priest is not safe.

...

Using observation haki with maximum range, Kaito tried to detect if Kirei and Sakura were around to watch.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard Kaito tried, Kaito couldn’t find anyone else besides them.

This opened up 2 possibilities: Kirei was watching their fight from a distance outside the range of Haki as Gilgamesh did earlier, or Kirei wasn’t here at all.

’With system help, I could scan this whole city to find Rin’s situation and the whereabouts of Sakura but the problem is I can’t... damn it!’ Kaito thought depressingly.

Right now, Kaito honestly had the impulse to teleport straight to Homurahara Academy to take Rin and Shirou instantly, ignoring Gilgamesh’s threat.

But if he does that, most likely if he did, Sakura who was in their hands would be killed. If that happened, it would also fail the condition of the optional task and disappoint Rin and Shirou altogether.

...It was clear that the Mastermind behind the scenes had really trapped him in a difficult situation, and probably knew all the goals he had in this world and used it to gain an advantage in the situation.

...

”If I defeat you, you will free Matou Sakura, right?” Kaito seriously asked, making up his mind after weighing both pros and cons of the situation.

”Yes.”

Gilgamesh nodded slightly and promised, ”You can bet on my dignity that if you win, then we won’t do anything to that purple-haired girl and give her to you.”

”You guys got me... there’s no way I would escape with Sakura as hostage” Hearing the promise from Gilgamesh, Kaito sighed and then turned around: ”Ilya... Nevermind.”

????

Initially, he wanted to ask for help, but then quickly changed his mind. There’s no way they could help him, after looking at Caster who is still fainted on the side, Berserker who was worn out and wounded, and Ilya, still unharmed but can’t exactly help him fighting the powerful hero king.

”...Ilya, Retreat from here, preferably a bit far away so you won’t get affected by our fight.”

”Big Brother, you don’t need our help?”

”No, Ilya. Retreat, Berserker can’t do anything to him, even when him at his peak.” Kaito explained.

”He is that strong?” Ilya asked with a disbelief tone.

”Yes. Just tell Berserker to protect you and please don’t get close to our fight.”

...

Hearing Kaito’s serious warning, Ilya just nodded, following his order.

Before their fight with Lancer and Caster, Ilya might have argued and said ’Berserker is the strongest’ and probably will still order her servant to help.

However, now that she already knew how strong Kaito was to the point he had no problem solving 2 servants in minutes. It was clear that the enemy’s time must be really strong if Kaito took him seriously.

”Be careful, Big Brother. Please don’t die.”

”Don’t worry, I don’t plan to die before saving you,” Kaito promised, patter her head last time, and then urged her to go.

After that, Ilya then ordered Berserker to retreat with her while taking Caster with her, leaving Kaito to face Gilgamesh alone. Fortunately, Gilgamesh seemed to understand the situation and let Kaito prepare whatever he wanted to do before their fight.

”Are you ready, boy?”

”Not yet.”

Seeing the sky starting to darken, Kaito knew he had to try to end this as soon as possible. Although he had no problem with his sight thanks to haki, the dark environment doesn’t seem to benefit him either.

”You don’t mind if I replenish my energy, right?”

Kaito asked for permission calmly, pulling the custom holy grail out of his Gate of Babylon and then quickly absorbing the mana on it. Without energy, there’s no way he is going to win this fight, but fortunately, Gilgamesh allows it without any problem.

”Sure, go ahead. I will wait until you are done.”

Gilgamesh nodded arrogantly, opened his arm, and taunted, ”I want to see your capability and whether you have enough qualifications as a hero from another world.”

”Thank you.”

”You’re welcome. Out of respect, I will also go all out in this fight,” Gilgamesh added, and then the Gate of Babylon opened behind him, with various noble phantasms peeking out, ready to be launched.

*Sparkle*

*Sparkle*

*Sparkle*

...!!!

”You better make me feel entertaining, boy!”

*Gulp*

The sounds and sight of countless openings of noble phantasms aimed at him intimidated Kaito, especially since many of the noble phantasms were holy-attribute items that could effectively harm him.

Despite this, Kaito quickly calmed himself down and prepared to fight, as he still believed he would win this fight.

After absorbing the holy grail in just a few seconds, Kaito felt his mana recover and stabilize, he immediately followed Gilgamesh’s movements to open his Gate of Babylon behind him.

*Sparkle* (30x)

...!!!!!!!

The numerous sparkles of light created by the Gate of Babylon from both sides of Gilgamesh and Kaito made the area on Mount Enzou bright as day.

”I like you, demon boy. Opening our fight with a grand move is the right thing to do!”

”...”

It’s clear that Gilgamesh wanted him also to launch his Gate of Babylon treasure collection, so Kaito decided to follow what his enemy wanted.

In addition, this also allows Kaito to see the many types of noble phantasms that Gilgamesh has, which can later be used as inspiration in creating weapons with the creation cheat later

>>>>

After preparing his Gate of Babylon to match Gilgamesh in front of him, Gripping Est tightly in his right hand, Kaito prepared to fight and shouted, ”Here I come, Hero King!”

Hearing it, Gilgamesh just smirked as he pulled a silver sword with his right hand. It’s just a random weapon from inside from Gate of Babylon-- but it’s still a noble phantasm and Kaito feels threatened by it since it has a holy attribute.

”Come!”

After hearing Gilgamesh’s invitation, Kaito then responded by launching dozens of weapons that he had towards him.

*SWOOSH*

*SWOOSH*

*SWOOSH*

...!!!

Naturally, Gilgamesh who was satisfied with Kaito’s action, also did the same and responded to his feelings.

*SWOOSH*

*SWOOSH*

*SWOOSH*

....!!!

This same type of action caused to their weapons meet in the air and collide with each other-- making a series of chaotic metal collision sounds.

*CLANK*

*CLANK*

*CLANK*

...!!!

Dozens of types of unique objects also collided in mid-air, creating various types of explosions of various elements such as explosions, electric shocks, and shockwaves in the surrounding area.

All of these first confrontations create a very exciting scene, similar to the end of the world or in the middle of a true battlefield of war. The sky which was supposed to be about to enter the night now becomes very bright as a day, filled with explosions that act like fireworks.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

...!!!

Thanks to all of these too, Just after a dozen seconds, the entire surface of Mount Enzou was filled with their weapons scattered around, destroying the area more thoroughly. The whole of Fuyuki city has been affected by it, and the people wonder if Mount Enzou is currently being bombed by terrorists-- but no one dares to approach.

Unfortunately, Kaito knows he can’t expect to win against Gilgamesh using this move. At first glance, Kaito and Gilgamesh look equal in this first confrontation, but Kaito knows he is truly at a disadvantage. After a half-minute showdown between the two Gate of Babylon, Kaito looks gloomy and anxious seeing the results. He didn’t have as many weapons as Gilgamesh, and his weapon quality wasn’t on par with real noble phantasms.

Fortunately, the weapons Kaito launched were still powerful enough to deflect the direction of Gilgamesh’s weapon attacks but it’s just enough for a stalemate situation.

....

Looking at the situation, Kaito knows his first move doesn’t work at all and soon runs out of weapons to throw, so he is aware that he needs to change his tactic to win this fight.

Besides that, Kaito saw a lot of noble phantasms already (achieved his purpose of looking for inspiration), so it’s time to take the next course of action.

That is... his favorite type of attack, using space teleportation to launch a surprise attack against his enemy.

With that plan in mind, Kaito then looked at Gilgamesh-- and teleported behind him instantly... while Gilgamesh seemed to keep focus throwing a weapon in his direction.

*Blink*

’Got him!’

...!!!

Unfortunately, even when Kaito successfully teleported behind him, Gilgamesh also ’somehow’ reacted perfectly in time, stopping launching weapons from the Gate of Babylon temporarily and at the same time blocking Kaito’s slash from behind and pushing him away, even without turning around.

”Hmmph! Nice try!” (Gilgamesh)

”What!” (Kaito)

*Clank*

...!!

A crisp metal collision sound suddenly sounded, accompanied by sparks splashing but Gilgamesh remained motionless and proud.

Kaito didn’t expect Gilgamesh’s strength to be so strong, and he was forcefully pushed away, but then Kaito remembered it’s natural for a heroic spirit to be strong.

After falling to the ground and sliding back a few meters, Kaito quickly stood up, raised his head, and stared solemnly at Gilgamesh.

Kaito wonders if it’s just a coincidence that Gilgamesh managed to react, so he tries again by teleporting to the other side of him.

*Clank*

...!!

The two fought fiercely again, red and gold collided, sparks flew, and a storm rolled around them.

Using Imagine Breaker, Kaito tried to gain an edge by infusing Imagine Breaker into Est-- the trick he used against Kaguya back then. Now, every time their weapons collide, Est in his hands will glow with silver light and destroy whatever treasure Gilgamesh currently uses.

*Clank*

*Crash*

...!!

However, even after doing this, Kaito didn’t gain an advantage at all. Every time his treasure gets destroyed, Gilgamesh has prepared and quickly pulls out another weapon to replace the weapon in his hand.

To make it worse, sometimes when they are colliding Gilgamesh seems to have the ability to predict, using the smallest body movements to dodge the Kaito attack or completely block it in a matter of seconds. After that, Gilgamesh then tries to deliver a fatal blow to make the Kaito lose the ability to resist... Either using the Gate of Babylon sneak attack or treasure in his hand.

*Clank*

*Clank*

...!!!

Fortunately, Kaito is also capable of reacting to his attack, thanks to his observation of haki. With teleportation, Kaito is also able to escape situations where he normally would not be able to avoid attacks from Gilgamesh.

Due to this situation, both Kaito and Gilgamesh were once again caught in a stalemate in close combat, where neither of them was willing to give in... although both of them were also frustrated with each other.

No matter how many times Kaito tried to teleport to deliver a sneaky attack, Gilgamesh always somehow managed to react to it perfectly in time-- making him feel a bit frustrated. Kaito suspects that Gilgamesh prepared a treasure that helps him detect space and the future before their fight, because, in theory, Kaito is confident that his attack style is full of surprises and cannot be perfectly avoided, even by a seasoned veteran fighter like Sakuya.

On the other hand, Gilgamesh himself also seems to be visibly frustrated like Kaito, because all of his counterattacks also get avoided as Kaito keeps teleporting from him. He is also frustrated that Kaito keeps destroying his treasure, but Gilgamesh doesn’t want to use EA for now.

He could tell Kaito hadn’t gone all out yet against him and Gilgamesh himself didn’t want to end their fight too soon thus... their intense fierce battle continued until eventually, they were both exhausted and starting to run out of energy.
