The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After being invited by Misaka to walk inside the mall, Mine admitted that she was very impressed with the concept of this modern market. The clean and comfortable market conditions, plus the guaranteed order, made her fall in love with shopping in the ”mall”, because Mine found that most of the people who sold there had quality merchandise and were not just like ordinary markets.

Mine could imagine that Lubbock could open a branch inside the mall, and feel happy because the place was clean, comfortable, and not hot. (because there was air conditioning everywhere).

...

”I admit, this place is amazing.”

While looking at her new ”smartphone” box, Mine complimented and became curious, ”How did you guys think of building something like this? This is so revolutionary!”

After becoming friends, Misaka revealed her identity openly to Mine (according to Crocodile’s instructions), and so far, because their personalities are similar (tsundere), they have quickly become close.

Right now, after walking around for a while, they were taking a break in a quiet eatery inside the mall, enjoying the milkshakes they had ordered (for free, since the shop owner knew Misaka).

...

Misaka, who was confused about how to answer logically (other than answering the idea from the future), fell silent before confessing to her, ”...There are a lot of buildings like this where I come from, so I ended up suggesting this building because I like this better than a regular market.”

”You suggested this building be built?! And there are a lot of them in the place where you came from?!”

”Yeah!”

Misaka nodded with a smile, while reminiscing the time she spent walking around with Kuroko and other in the mall, ”I didn’t expect my proposal to be accepted by Crocodile-san, because he said a building like this would add to the uniqueness of the city and make people more interested in living here.”

”Your leader is right.” Mine reacted positively and commented, ”If something like this existed in the Imperial Capital, it would be amazing.”

If people outside of this city knew the real condition of this place, Mine is 100% sure that everyone would want to move here because the condition of the area is excellent and orderly. This place is undoubtedly going to replace the Imperial Capital sooner or later as a target to migrate to with free housing and maximum security, especially the nobles who want to enjoy this place.

Fortunately, according to Misaka, this city only accepts refugees or people who need a place to stay to enter, and is currently not accepting any nobles from the Empire or anywhere else. Of course, there are still nobles who tried to enter this city by force, but just as this city is clean from spies, it is also impossible for nobles or people from the Empire with a bad record to enter this city.

...

”Misaka, as someone who came from Team 2, who manages this city...”  Mine, who feels that Misaka can be trusted enough, decides to test her, then asks, ”You and your other friends... already know our identities, right?”

”Yeah...” Misaka wryly smiled, ”I didn’t expect you would be so direct about this, Mine-san.”

”Unfortunately, it would be tiring to do so.” Mine huffed and complained, ”And after getting along for a while, I know you are a good person, Misaka-san.”

”I am flattered by your trust but that’s true!” Misaka nodded without feeling curious or surprised, only feeling relieved and sighed, ”Phew, I just wonder as friends we have to keep pretending to each other... I am glad.”

”I don’t like that idea either, Misaka-san.”

”Yeah! You are my good friend, Mine-san!”

...

As a Lv.5 Esper who is already approaching level 6, Misaka can detect electromagnetic fields around her easily and determine the current emotions of anything around her.

From the beginning, Misaka already knew Mine had seen through her acting-- based on a logical conclusion and her calm expression while facing herself (Misaka is level 5, also very smart for an obvious reason).

On the other side, hearing Misaka say that, Mine wasn’t surprised either. After all, they were already suspicious about why they, Night Raid members, were so easily able to enter this city, despite this place being known to be very hard to infiltrate.

...

”So, can I ask you... What is your purpose in letting us infiltrate the city, Misaka-san?”

Of course to show you guys whats actually going on in this city!” Misaka replied, ”Our boss already predicted, since our efforts to keep this city from prying eyes were 100% successful, it’s clear that the other factions are very curious about the inside of this city.”

”Your boss is right.” Mine, who felt impressed that their goal was easily revealed, immediately asked, ”Aren’t you afraid that we will mess up this city?”

”Pffft!”

Hearing Mine’s question, Misaka just laughed and corrected, ”No way! My friend Hisako can detect the presence and identity of people based on the karma they have, and this includes karma that will come in the future.”

”If you wanted to cause damage or create chaos in the city, we would have stopped you from the beginning!”

...!!?!!

Hearing the abilities of Misaka’s partner, Mine was not surprised that no spies had managed to enter this city at all. Detecting a person’s identity based on past and future karma... Mine admits such a method truly has no weakness at all!

You can hide your expression, your thought, for a while, but mine really couldn’t think of any way to hide your ’future’ from an enemy. Coupled with the city walls that were directly managed by the city’s leader, Mine believed that this city was the safest city she had ever seen in this world!

”Anyway, I don’t want to hide it, but aside from letting you see the city, our leader also plans to recruit you guys!”

”Huh? Recruit?”

”Umm!” Misaka dropped another bombshell fact, which surprised Mine to the core, ”That’s the main reason why you’re allowed to enter this city in the first place!”

Crocodile had explained in the chat group that he really wanted to recruit Night Raid, and none of the members in the chat group objected this idea. They had all watched his memories and had a good impression of the Night Raid group, as they were all good people who wanted to change this world for the better-- just like the main goal of the chat group members to change their world for the better.

Misaka herself admits that she really likes the idea of punishing evil and changing the world, otherwise, she wouldn’t have the hobby of beating thugs in Academy City.

...

”I also approached you intending to get to know your character, and after becoming friends with you, we became good friends, right?” Misaka asked.

”Yeah.” Mine nodded and muttered, ”Recruiting us huh..? But we work under the revolutionary army...”

”We know that, of course, you guys are Night Raid, quite famous after all.” Misaka commented, ”But we believe that all of you are willing to change sides and won’t regret working with us.”

”...You really got me, Misaka-san.”

Seeing the prosperous and safe city, which is an ideal place for her to retire, Mine was honestly moved and admitted, ”Personally, I want to accept your invitation, but Night Raid is not just me alone, and there are other members too, whom you also need to convince.”

”Ah, about that, don’t worry!”

???

”I believe right now my other colleagues are also approaching your friend with the same goal, and we are sure you will all meet at our leader’s office very soon!”

”Wow... You guys have already been targeting us from the beginning, right?”

”Pffft... Sorry about that, Mine-san!”

Hearing Misaka’s answer, Mine could only wryly smile and follow her. They had all truly fallen into a trap in this city, and the city leader seemed to be anticipating all their moves as well.

While Mine is confronted by Mine in the mall, at the tavern of Paradise city, just as Misaka expected, Leone, another Night Raid member, is currently drunk with the number #1 drinker in the chat group, Kazehana, and naturally, they also quickly become best friends!

On top of that, Kazehana also rent the VIP room for Leone and right now they are having party and competing which one of them is better at drinking!

...

”Kazehana-san, I didn’t expect you to be so good at drinking despite being a married woman! Hahahaha!” Leone teased while chuckling at her, ”Are you not afraid that your husband would divorce you?!”

”HAH! Before we got married, my husband, Itachi, already knew about my drinking hobby and he didn’t mind at all~!” Kazehana replied and took 2 bottles of whiskey and beer from the shelf, ”Here, have some more beer to drink!”

Compared to Itachi’s history of a career as a terrorist and having killed his clan in the past, naturally, Kazehana’s problem as a drunkard is not a problem at all. If anything, Itachi is genuinely thankful that his wife was willing to accept his job and history as a terrorist!

...

”Thank you! You are the best Kazehana-san!” Leone quickly took another one and drank it straight from the bottle,

*Gulp* *Gulp*

...!!!

”Ahh!! This shit is best! This city’s wine and beer are truly top-notch! Everything tastes very good!! How did you guys do it?!”

Leone, who could be said to be 90% drunk already, leaned her neck to Kazehana with a heated gaze and pointed her finger rudely at her as she guessed, ”Your leader already noticed us from the beginning, right? And someone else from your team should have approached my friend, Mine, and Lubbock!”

”Otherwise, why would you bring me to this VIP room section of this bar?! Muahahaha!”

Kazehana, who was also not surprised that her cover was blown, just smiled and said, ”Ara~ How did you know?”

Unlike Leone, Kazehana who has become physically strong with the current chat group point is very difficult to get drunk so her mind is still clear even though she drinks more than Leone. The current Kazehana can even drink denatured alcohol as long as the amount is not much, to get drunk.

...

”Boo!! Don’t underestimate me, Kazehana-san! I wouldn’t have survived until now if I were easily fooled by something like this!” Leone throwing a tantrum, ”You are not even subtle about this, suddenly inviting me to the VIP room because you see me as a good drinker?!”

”Assigned guard captain when we come into the city? Who would believe that’s just a coincidence?! I am not that stupid, Kazehana-san!”

”Pfft... It was just my leader’s bad taste.” Kazehana nodded in agreement, thinking that assigning Tatsumi to them is a really big mistake, ”I guess doing something like that is a stupid decision indeed.”

”Hahahaha! It’s stupid! But I, no, we don’t mind! You guys are not killing or want to kill us anyway!”  Leone laughed as she took another bottle from Kazehana’s hand, ”Damn, no matter how much the drink in this city is very high quality! I want to live in this city from now on!”

Hearing what Leone said, Kazehana knew her goal had succeeded and then offered, ”Then, you should follow me after this to our leader’s office-- because our boss, Crocodile, has an offer to you... All of you~”

”...O-Offer? What kind of offer?! You don’t want to kill us, right?” Although she has become drunk, Leone still quickly becomes vigilant and takes a step back from Kazehana immediately.

”Yeah, how about working with us to protect this city? Together?”

”What...? Are you serious?”

Hearing that, Leone, who was very drunk, immediately became half-conscious (thanks to her Teigu too), staring at Kazehana seriously before, in the end, accepting her offer to go meet his boss, Crocodile, in his office.

Anyway, she can’t refuse and doesn’t want to ruin the relationship with her new friend. Leone also could feel that she would not be able to defeat Kazehana-- because her instinct was telling her that it would be a stupid idea, as Kazehana is physically much stronger than her (Rook piece ftw).

And Leone herself also isn’t that evil to beat someone who treats her with a look expensive drink and has become a drinking buddy with her.

Leone also believes that since Mine and Lubbock were also approached by other members of Team 2, they definitely also accepted the invitation too-- since neither of them are physically strong and particularly good at fighting and escaping from the city.

And Leone is kind of right about that, Mine got Misaka followed her, and Lubbock himself literally in the government office, which also gets approached by Nico Robin and Crocodile himself.

In the end, the three Night Raid members who ”infiltrated” the city ended up gathered together in Crocodile’s office that night on their first day... ”captured” by Team 2 who working fast approaching them.
