The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After several days in the Black Bullet world, with everyone working together, Kaito and Team 1 managed to build their base in this world and secure the cursed children in the surrounding area.

In addition, they also created a few apartment buildings for cursed children to live in the same area, a school where they could learn, and an infirmary room where they could come whenever they felt a little bit sick.

Of course, Sakuya, the chat group’s architect, created everything in a single day, using material provided by Kaito, who has no problem creating stuff these days.

Kaito also doesn’t stop finding Est’s soul fragment with his ability to spread 1000 clones (limited by his mental strength despite the unlimited energy) all across the world of Black Bulle.  There’s no result so far, but he believes that Est’s soul fragment will be found sooner or later.

While on it, Kaito also successfully created the Varanium metal after getting some examples of it from a nearby monument, and their base is now also surrounded by those kinds of giant monuments in Tokyo, albeit much smaller in scale.

Anyway, even without it, their base security is already guaranteed since the space props that Kaito prepared were able to isolate space around to the point it won’t be detected by satellite.

...

After that, the first step that the chat group members did was of course, try to tame and cure the Gastrea virus in the bodies of the cursed children.

Unfortunately, there were no doctors or biology experts in the chat group, so Kaito could only rely on Minaka, an expert in biotechnology from Sekirei world, to analyze the virus and create a vaccine to suppress the infection rate or even eradicate it.

Orochimaru could also be an option to do this, but because he couldn’t be trusted yet, Aika forbade Kaito from asking him.

”So we can only wait. Both the vaccine and the construction of the portal.” Kaito said in a depressed tone. Right now, both of them are currently having a short meeting between leaders to talk about the future of this ”base”.

”Yes. It’s a waiting game, Kaito.”

”This is suck, Aika.”

*Sigh*

”It can’t be helped~” Aika also complained with a sigh. ”The chat group system, despite being able to do anything easily with points, probably makes things difficult for us on purpose.”

”We already know what exactly happened right now.”

Kaito nodded in agreement. ”The system isn’t exactly our friend and more like our boss who treat his employee.”

...

On top of the vaccine problem, there’s also a building portal issue. Although the construction of the portal was completed in one click, Kaito and the other members did not expect it to take a month before the portal could be used with the reason provided by the system; establishing a stable connection from world to world would take a long time.

Naturally, no members believe that this was done on purpose since the system also offers that the process can be sped up with points.

Kaito could use points to speed up the process, but 1 day of reduction costs 10,000 points so he needed 300,000 points to shorten the time... and unfortunately, Kaito did not have that many points to waste at the moment.

...

”Either portal or vaccine, you can solve those using chat group points, rich Owner.” Aika suggested and teased, ”Or should I start calling you ’god’ now?”

*Sting*

”Ouch... Stop saying that. Aren’t you getting a headache from that too?” Kaito complained, still feeling the stink he got after hearing the word ’god’..

”Yeah, but I managed to offset the side effect using 50 points,” Aika answered smugly.

”That’s such a waste of points.” Kaito cussed, but Aika only giggled at his reaction.

”Pfft...”

”Anyway, you already did that with Fuse Midori. Why don’t you use it on other cursed children?”

Hearing Aika’s question, Kaito rolled his eyes and answered, ”Duh... Because it’s too expensive to do it for everyone.”

”Expensive?”

”Like portal, you can find out that you need 10.000 points to cure one cursed child from Gastrea virus defective properties.” Kaito explained while sighing, ”And I don’t have that many points with me at the moment.”

Considering there are hundreds of cursed children living in this area, Kaito would need millions of points if he wanted to do that. Even when Kaito tried to outsmart the system by asking for a vaccine recipe, the price the system asked for was also in the millions!

That’s why he hoped more that Minaka could research this virus and develop a vaccine. As the main villain in Sekirei who can clone alien race genetics like Sekirei, Kaito still believed in his biotechnology abilities and soon come up with solution to cursed children defective properties.

...

”So it’s favoritism. As expected, you silver and blonde hair freaks.” Aika retorted with a teasing tone.

”I won’t deny that...” Kaito just shrugged it off, ”At this point, I will just admit it so you guys can stop teasing me.”

Thanks to his action of bringing Fuwa Midori back, everyone in the chat group is now more convinced that he has a thing for silver-haired little girls. Although Kaito wanted to deny that accusation, with Ilya and Midori scouting by himself recently, Kaito knew it wouldn’t work, so he might as well let everyone say whatever they want.

...

”Pfft... Anyway, when do you want to start your plan? To register to IISO and sneak in Tokyo to get close to the Protagonist?” Aika curiously asked.

”As soon as possible.” Kaito answered calmly and continued asking, ”Has Kayaba solved the identity issue?”

”Yeah, last night. You can ask him to print your ID card later.” Aika said as she showed her new printed ID card of Tokyo Resident. ”Although I dont like him like other chat group members, Kayaba indeed was an excellent recruit as he is the only technology expert among us.”

”Indeed he is.” Kaito nodded in agreement, happy that his decision was correct so far. ”Then, I will do it at noon, after Midori-chan is done with classes.”

Since they still have at least a month to settle down and move on to the next plan (waiting for the portal to be usable), Kaito has the idea to try to become an Initiator and at the same time join the organization where the protagonist and heroine are.

...

”So fast? Are you that eager to leave this camp?” Aika asked with a curious tone.

”Well, the faster I do this, the faster I can meet the protagonist.” Kaito muttered with a gloomy look, ”For this world, besides focusing on finding Est’s soul, I want to see whether this guy could change or not.”

”Honestly, there’s no task telling us to follow or befriend the protagonist. Like, AT ALL.” Aika suggested, ”And even if there’s a chance Est’s soul fragment will appear around him, we can always put eyes on him all the time from here.”

”I know. But I also wanted to have fun a little bit.” Kaito explained casually while rubbing his nose, ”You guys told me that I am too hard on myself, so I have been reflecting on that.”

”Ah.”

”This world is perfect to do that because there was nothing that could threaten me, and you guys also can protect yourselves,” Kaito added.

”I am happy you realize that, but are you sure you want to have ’fun’?” Aika, who understood Kaito very well, looked at him with confusion and concern. ”Aren’t you afraid that you will accidentally kill the protagonist?”

”...”

Kaito naturally understood Aika’s concern and answered with some hesitation, ”I don’t know, but I hope he doesn’t disappoint me too much.”

...

Just remembering the justice that Satomi Rentaro, the protagonist of the world, Kaito admits he is the exact opposite of him in matters of principle. For that guy, following the rules for the majority is more important than personal justice, even if the unfairness happens to those who are closest to him.

For example, even if a group of people tortures group of cursed children to death, he will not retaliate against them and only arrest them as he following the law-- even though he knows that even the police force doesn’t care about cursed children and the perpetrators will be released soon... and doing the same thing all over again.

For Kaito, it is the opposite. If he is given the choice between protecting the masses or protecting people who suffer injustice, Kaito will not hesitate to choose what he thinks is right, even if it means Kaito will have to kill a lot of people in the process.

This is the first world where Kaito genuinely may hate the protagonist’s inaction, but he is aware of the importance of the protagonist of the world and willing to give him a chance.

Kaito plans to get close to him and to test the protagonist closely, persuading him to change to see whether this world is worth saving or not.

If the protagonist insists on doing what he is doing in the memories, Kaito knows that this might be the first time in the world that he would kill the protagonist instead of befriending him.

After school, Kaito immediately took Midori Fuse to Tokyo, where she immediately complied. In the past few days, Kaito (original) also had taken Midori to various places to look for Est’s soul fragment. She also already learn the purpose of Kaito and his friends coming to this world to retrieve Est’s soul and resurrect her, and this made Midori a little jealous and grateful toward her.

Jealousy, because Est as Kaito’s sister had a happy life with a brother like Kaito and was full of people who loved her, and Gratitude, because indirectly Est was the one who caused Kaito and his friends to come to thisworld.

...

”K-Kaito-sama, are we out again to find Est nee-chan whereabout again?” Midori asked in a small voice. She was currently wearing the witch uniform she wore in the original, complete with a witch hat to cover her cat ears.

”No, I want to register to IISO today and then live in this city to do something. Will you become my Initiator, Midori?”

Surprised by Kaito’s answer, Midori couldn’t help but become nervous and muttered weakly, ”But Kaito-sama, with your strength... I can’t help you...”

”No, you can help me.”

*Pat* *Pat*

Kaito patted her witch head and explained, ”I will be pretending to be a weak promoter, so I need you to help me do all the heavy work.”

”E-Eh? Why?”

”I have reason to do this~”

To join the firm where the protagonist is, naturally, Kaito’s first act was to get an IP rank at IISO, or the International Initiator Supervising Organization, so that they can officially become Initiators and Promoters. IP rank itself dictates the combined strength of an Initiator and a Promoter, but Kaito didn’t plan to do anything and just let Midori do it herself during the combat test.

It’s because Kaito thinks that having a high IP means he will have a lot of work, while they are still focused on finding the whereabouts of the Est soul fragment.

Naturally, it can’t be too low either, otherwise the firm where protagonist located might not accept his request to join.

There’s also the fact that Midori should be much stronger than in the original thanks to the chat group system that cured her.

Right now, she could pull more strength without being afraid of changing into a gastrea creature, as the infection rate now was meaningless to her... This means she could use 100% infection rate strength without turning into a gastrea creature whatsoever.

...

”Anyway, can you help me, Midori-chan?”

”But why me... there are also other cursed children...”

”No, it has to be you.” Kaito said with a serious look, ”Although other children aren’t bad, I want you to be recognized as my partner. Since you have been cured, you are the strongest among everyone and will be the best one to protect me.”

...!!

Hearing Kaito’s request, Midori, who just remembered she was getting saved from cursed children’s sad fate by Kaito, finally nodded at his request and become determined, ”Y-Yes... I will do my best, Kaito-sama.”

”That’s good...” Kaito smiled while patting her head again. ”After we complete the registration, I promise to take you to play anywhere you want in this city.”

Hearing what Kaito said, Midori’s eyes immediately brightened up, and she didn’t look nervous anymore. ”Umm!”

After that, Kaito and Midori walked to the IISO office building to register, and then they were immediately asked to fill out a form to identify themselves.

Like in the original, naturally, there’s nothing change about Fuse Midori’s identity as an Initiator model cat, although the IISO does detect her unusual strength as a model cat.

Fortunately, the IISO was unable to detect something strange about the Midori infection rate (it only showed a very low infection rate)- but this was expected since Midori ’vaccination’ is not based on medical advancement, but rather more like rules or laws afflicted by the system of chat groups.

As for Kaito, he just introduces himself as a skilled swordsman. Although Kaito wants to introduce himself as a civilian first to slack off, IISO doesn’t accept promoters without combat skills since their job is very dangerous.

So Kaito had no choice but actually show a little bit of strength on the combat test, otherwise his request won’t be accept and Midori going to taken away by them.

Well, later it turns out that the little bit of power Kaito showed was enough to scare everyone in the building.
