The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After a whole day visiting the Akame Ga Kill world, Kaito then returned to the Black Bullet world after receiving Aika’s emergency call about the plot they know. He had heard from Aika that, despite joining the protagonist team, the original plot was still unfolding, albeit with deviations due to their presence and actions.

Like in the original, Enju, who had been disguised as an ordinary child in elementary school, was found out as a cursed child and was immediately kicked out of school. (episode 2 anime) Naturally, such an event made her feel very depressed about the situation and reality, which made her run away from home.

In the original plot, during this time, Enju hid with other cursed children who were hiding outside Tokyo, led by Mr. Matsuzaka. Now, because of Team 1’s interference, there’s no such thing cursed children’s hidden base outside the Tokyo Area. This situation is making Enju feel more depressed and angrier than the original plot because Kayaba then informs everyone that Enju is now hiding in the jungle, where there are many dangerous Gastrea creatures living it.

...

Because of such a dangerous turn of events, both Kaito with Midori, Rentaro, and, for some reason, Manaka and Jack are joining to find Enju’s whereabouts together by driving a car in the middle of the night. Naturally, Kaito could teleport right away if he wanted to, but unfortunately, he doesn’t want to reveal his true identity to Rentaro yet.

...

”Kaito! Are you sure Enju is really inside the forest north of Tokyo?!” Rentaro asked impatiently with concern, ”Are you sure your friend’s information is correct?”

”I told you, I won’t lie about something like this, senpai!” Kaito answered impatiently while driving on the road, ”My friend has access to a satellite in the sky of Japan, and he informed Enju whereabouts.”

To make their job to find Est’s soul fragment easier, a few days ago, Kayaba had already launched his satellite, which also cost some of the points (which Kaito gave to him) to gather information more easily in this world. It is also equipped with reconnaissance magic; hence, no government in this world knows about that magic satellite.

...

Rentaro gritted his teeth in anger, ”Damn it! All of this happened because they kicked Enju out of the school. After all, her identity was discovered.”

”Then, what are you gonna do, senpai?” Kaito asked while rolling his eyes. Although he feels guilty and bad for Rentaro, Kaito himself isn’t that concerned about Enju. Enju is still the main heroine of this world; there’s no way the world itself would let Enju die just like that.

”That... Of course, bring her back!”

”Even if we found Enju, there’s no way that school would accept her back anyway.”

”I know! But what can I do?”

”You can do something. Sue them, force them, and convince them to accept Enju back. As long as Enju doesn’t use her Gastrea factor, she is just a normal little girl after all.” Kaito suggested.

”But... a lot of them have their family become the victim of the Gastrea creature... so their fear of cursed children was reasonable.”

...?!?!

”No, it’s not, senpai. God damn it.” Hearing Rentaro’s stupid reasoning, Kaito’s scuffed, and his blood pressure quickly rose, ”Is it the cursed children’s fault? They are not the Gastrea creatures themselves, they are humans just with a special ability!”

”And it’s not even Enju’s fault!”

”But... I mean... they could change to them after their infection rate rises to a certain point...”

”So does a normal human! They could also have changed after getting wounded by that creature!”

”But they are also the victims of the situation... and losing their loved one.” Rentaro argued weakly, which made Kaito even more agrieved.

”Ahhh!! So do the cursed children! Heck, they don’t even do anything, and probably most of them also lack love, senpai!”  Kaito retorted loudly, holding his anger and urge to beat this ’useless’ protagonist, ”Discrimination against cursed children is stupid, and we need to fight back!”

...!!

Hearing his words, Rentaro was stunned for a while before he looked down in a depressed tone, ”Kaito... I know you care a lot about cursed children, but I genuinely think it’s no one’s fault.”

”You think so, Senpai? Even though Enju is the victim here?”

”I am sorry, but I can’t get mad at them. At people we should protect.”

*Sigh*

Kaito sighed in frustration and muttered, ”I swear, senpai, you are genuinely the most stupid friend I have ever had.”

”...I am so sorry, but for now, let’s focus on rescuing Enju, and we will talk about this more later.”

”Tch.”

Even though Kaito tries hard to persuade Rentaro and show him the path that he ”thinks is right”, Kaito still fails to do so, and the protagonists still insist that what happened to Enju was not anyone’s fault.

Just the fact that he treats everyone on an equal footing with any person closest to him makes Kaito feel disgusted. After all, Kaito is a person who prioritizes those closest to him and doesn’t understand how Rentaro’s mind works at all.

Kaito is even sure that if Enju has to be sacrificed to save the citizens of Tokyo, Rentaro will not hesitate to do so... and such an ’act’ disgusts him. Kaito feels that his efforts to try to change Rentaro’s mindset are in vain, and if anything, being the protagonist’s friend makes him hate this incompetent man even more.

...

”Kaito-san... calm down...” (Midori)

”Kaito-kun, are you okay?” (Manaka)

”Brother, you seem very mad.” (Jack)

...

Fortunately, Midori, Jack, and Manaka are here to remind him, so Kaito quickly cleared his mind and reassured them, ”It’s okay. Don’t worry about it.”

”Want a drink, Darling? You should calm down your head too, after all, it would be bad if we were crashing.” Manaka offered him a can of beer.

”Manaka... Why do you want me to drink while I am driving this car?”

”Pffft... Why not? Maybe being drunk makes you feel better?”

”Uh...”

Hearing Manaka’s words, Kaito twitched his mouth and asked, ”Speaking of which, Manaka... I almost forgot about you... Why are you here?”

...

When Kaito returned from the Akame Ga Kill world and entered the Tendo Civil Security office, Kaito was surprised to see Manaka, who had just joined the company and had introduced herself as Kaito’s girlfriend. Apparently, without Kaito’s knowledge, aside from summoning a lot of servants in this world, Manaka had also registered at IISO as a promoter a week ago... with a rank of 2561, making her one of the elites in Tokyo too.

As for Manaka’s initiator, of course, it was Jack the Ripper-- who wore red contact lenses to make her look like a cursed child. If anything, due to Jack’s origin, calling her cursed children is a pretty accurate way more than the cursed children themselves. However, when Manaka had already obtained official status, she did not choose to join any company, until today Manaka decides to join Tendo Civil Security to give him a surprise.

Kaito admitted that Manaka’s presence joining the protagonist team successfully gave him a surprise, although Kaito honestly wondered how she could make Aika and the others allow her to do this (because Kaito was sure Aika and Sakuya must have known about this)

...

”Ara~ Kaito-san, I am your girlfriend after all. Is it weird for me to be here and join the same company as you do?”  Manaka said in a teasing tone. ”Or are you not happy about me being here?”

”No, I mean... does Aika know about this? Manaka... are you not afraid of trouble?”

”Pffft...!!” Manaka shook her head with confidence, ”Of course she knows, but since I won a bet against her, she was forced to let me join you.”

”A bet?” Kaito raised his eyebrow. ”What kind of bet?”

”That would be a secret~ Pfft...”

...

Hearing Manaka’s words, Kaito felt relieved because at least Manaka didn’t do anything ’harsh’ to achieve the current situation, which would be a disaster if the girls knew it. As for her purpose, as the target of her affection, Kaito could guess Manaka’s purpose was to bring Jack around while also trying to get more affectionate with him.

From what she did in the original world, Kaito knew how much of a love-brain this girl was, as Manaka is a person who wouldn’t hesitate to destroy a world to fulfill her lover’s dream. Compared to what Manaka did in the original for Arthur, this is practically nothing in comparison and much more acceptable (although she still openly declares her hostility for Aika).

In fact, what Kaito didn’t know is that the only reason why Manaka chose to compromise and take a long way to become Kaito’s main girlfriend is because she knows she can’t own Kaito alone with how Kaito treats everyone like his family.

Harming or blackmailing other chat group members is quite literally impossible due to the chat group system rule, and with how everyone is always being honest with each other, and trying to brainwash Kaito is a stupid idea with the chat group system/Imagine Breaker in his hand.

Not to mention, she comes last among other Kaito harem, there’s also Aika, whom Manaka admits is quite smart, having overlapping attributes with her (as a prideful woman) and isn’t easy to defeat when it comes to become Kaito most important person in the chat group All Manaka’s advantage in the Fate world doesn’t work here, as she can’t even predict her future anymore (which is she admits delightful thing). So her only choice is doing her best to help Kaito whenever she can head on, and honestly, quickly gaining a spot in Kaito’s heart as Manaka slowly becomes one of the most important people in her life.

Fortunately, Manaka is always ready to play a long game. Even in the original Fate Prototype, Manaka was patiently waiting 8 years to cultivate her beast cub just to achieve her goal, and Manaka has confidence that it wouldn’t take long, as she already grasps all Kaito’s information and how his personality works.

...

On the other hand, Rentaro, who listened to their conversation, now thinks that his junior Kaito might be a scumbag, as he heard multiple women’s names come from his mouth. Although he is not sure about this, at least Rentaro thinks it’s important for him to remind Kisara to stay away from Kaito later.

>>>>>

After arriving in the northern part of Tokyo, the border of the forest area, Kaito stopped their car and immediately opened their cell phone, where Kayaba had given Enju’s coordinates location hiding in the forest.

”How is it? Can you find the exact location of Enju’s hiding place?! Is she okay?” Rentaro asked impatiently.

”She should be okay, senpai.”

*Throw*

After making sure Enju’s position was not in danger, Kaito then casually threw his cell phone to Rentaro and said, ”Follow the GPS on my cell phone, my friend has locked Enju’s position in the forest.”

”You are not following?” Rentaro asked with a surprised tone.

”Tsk... And let me be a lightbulb?” Kaito shook his head, remembering this was one of the important moments in the plot, and knew he shouldn’t meddle in it.

”Senpai, you are Enju’s partner. If anyone should talk and bring her back, it’s you alone.”

...!!!

Hearing Kaito’s encouraging words, Rentaro’s eyes opened wide, but he acknowledged that Kaito’s words made sense and was grateful for his reminder.

”Thank you, Kaito!”

*DASH*

After saying that, with Kaito’s smartphone in his hand, Rentaro immediately leaped into the forest alone in Enju’s direction, leaving Kaito, Manaka, Midori, and Jack alone to guard their car.

...

”So we are alone now?” Manaka hugged Kaito’s arm tightly and requested, ”Darling, could you bring some snacks for us to enjoy? Jack and Midori wanted them too, right?”

”Yes, mama!”

”If it’s okay...”

Ignoring the soft feeling in his arm and how she continued to call him affectionately, Kaito smiled and promised, ”Well, consider what you did to help me... I don’t mind.”

”I thought you were going to ask me why I don’t want to follow him.” Kaito continues to comment.

”From my understanding of you, you are not the type of person who meddles in your friend’s business.” Manaka answered confidently,  ”Like in my world, you are not trying to ruin the relationship between Sakura and Shirou, even though you do have a chance to capture her heart.”

”I am sorry, but I am not a minotaur and more like a pure love warrior.” As someone who cares about family the most, Kaito doesn’t want to betray anyone who cares and loves him at all.

”But you own a harem.”

”Uh...”

”Pfft... that’s why I like you, Darling.”

Manaka naturally understands Kaito’s process of thought, tightening her hug-- making Kaito feel happy and confused about what to do, because this girl is much more daring than anyone who loves him before!

”You... Never mind.”

At one side, Kaito wanted to complain and refused her bold action, since he feels that he betray any other girl who come before Manaka, but on the other hand, Manaka has played huge role in this task, which Kaito grateful for, hence he felt it’s okay letting her doing whatever she want to him to make her feel happy.

After that, Kaito quickly created a bunch of chairs, tables, and snacks beside their car as Manaka and Jack requested, so they could talk and chill while waiting for Rentaro to come back with Enju. On top of that, Kaito wanted to ask Manaka regarding her opinion on Rentaro’s behavior, which he couldn’t understand at all.
