The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

Eventually, after a long, intense confrontation, Kaito and Gilgamesh’s situation was equally embarrassing, as neither of their appearances looked good.

Their bodies were already covered in wounds and cuts, as both Gilgamesh and Kaito could no longer focus on dodging attacks properly due to exhaustion. Although none of them are fatal, those were enough to hinder their concentration-- yet none of them choose to retreat.

During their confrontation, Kaito easily committed teleportation a hundred times and overused Est + Imagine Breaker, which made the energy that was fully charged at the start of the fight almost drained.

The same applies to Gilgamesh, who also feels exhausted since he keeps throwing his treasure at Kaito and fully focuses on detecting Kaito’s attack the whole time.

*Clank*

*Clank*

Feeling light-headed, Kaito was finally the first to decide to retreat-- to catch his breath and assess the situation. Luckily Gilgamesh who saw Kaito retreating did not pursue him and used this time to catch his breath as well.

”Huft... Huft... Damn it.”

”What’s wrong... boy? Are you already ...tired? Huft... If this is all you are capable of, I will be disappointed in you.”

”Shut... up! You are... not better either...!”

”Hahahaha!”

Seeing Gilgamesh who was still acting pretentious and arrogant even though he also looked tired, Kaito couldn’t help but be annoyed. However, this made Kaito feel a little better too... because at least, Gilgamesh’s situation is also about the same as his.

Kaito admits that Gilgamesh is truly a very powerful enemy, and the information he got from the anime/visual novel does not fully describe how powerful this man nicknamed the Hero King is.

In the fight earlier, Kaito had used a few trump cards that normally defeat other people to defeat Gilgamesh-- and he managed to survive all of them.

For example, Kaito used Gungnir to him but Gilgamesh quickly deployed Rho Aias, the famous noble phantasm shield with the shape of flower petals to protect himself. When Kaito saw that, he couldn’t help but complain ”Are you copying EMIYA?!”

Kaito also used the Golden Watch, but it didn’t work on him either. Gilgamesh, who had seen what he did with Lancer, had prepared a treasure that could offset his time-stop ability, hence Kaito wasting his energy activating it.

Kaito also used various weapons he had created, such as an explosive sword, electric giga hammer, and invincible katana... but none of them worked either!

...

’What should I do... the time... how long I have been fighting him?’ Kaito thought as he saw the sky had become dark.

He felt his entire body aching, every muscle in his body would probably scream if they could, but Kaito knew he couldn’t fall here. Shirou and Rin still needed him! And more importantly, he didn’t want to disappoint the chat group members who were hoping for him!

Kaito knew that he couldn’t continue fighting like this. Besides the time limit and their body situation, he could imagine the end of the fight possibly resulting in him and Gilgamesh being killed together.

And there’s still a mastermind behind the scenes too.

...

While thinking about this, Kaito suddenly realizes that something about their fight is fishy. While fighting seriously, Gilgamesh seems like he is ’playing’ with him, and he is too respectful toward him. The worst insult he has received from Gilgamesh so far is being called a Demon Boy, which is not really an insult compared to the things he usually says to others, such as miscellaneous cultivator or faker.

From the beginning of the fight, despite taking him seriously, Gilgamesh himself never used a high-rank treasure against him-- like the Excalibur series, Gae Bolg, Hrunting, etc.

It’s as if... Gilgamesh doesn’t want to kill him at all...

Based on the situation, Kaito can only guess the mastermind tells Gilgamesh something about him (aside from being a hero from another world), and then also tells him to not kill him for real.

Whatever Gilgamesh was told, it made him obsessed with his identity-- as Gilgamesh often taunted Kaito to do better and let him rest and prepare before their fight.

In a real life and death battle, there was no way Gilgamesh would let him do this, and might have showered Kaito with dangerous treasures/noble phantasms.

...Maybe Gilgamesh was obsessed with his identity and wanted to defeat him without cheating... or wanted to see how far he could go? testing him?

If that’s the case, then Kaito had an idea of how he could make this fight end in his favor... thus, he quickly suggested an enticing proposal to the Hero King.

...

”Hero King! I don’t have much time, so I propose an idea how about we end this fight as soon as possible?”

”Oh? Why do you think I would agree with such a proposal?”

”Because, don’t you want to see my special attack? don’t you want to see the moment I am going all out?”

”Hahahaha! So you finally figured it out?” Looking at Kaito with a satisfied look, Gilgamesh grinned and said, ”If you think I want to kill you, there’s no way you would still standing in front of me, boy!”

”Tsk.”

...

Hearing what Gilgamesh, Kaito feels annoyed but knows he can’t exactly refute it either.

Anime or visual novels didn’t do justice to how strong Gilgamesh is. Having almost every noble phantasm in his arsenal in the world is equivalent to Kaito’s method of fighting on steroids.

Gilgamesh probably has every type of treasure for every situation, considering who knows how many heroic spirits are in this world... and he can deploy them at will.

...

”Since you manage to figure out what’s happening, then let me tell you something boy.”

”The moment you choose to fight me, you are already losing.” Gilgamesh sneered arrogantly, ”Why do you think that we don’t want you to save your master?”

...!!

”Fuck!”

The moment Kaito hears Gilgamesh’s question, he immediately understands the mastermind’s purpose. Assuming the mastermind knows the details about his task, it’s clear that they wanted to use Rin and Shirou as hostages, forcing Kaito to make two difficult choices.

The choice is whether to fail the main task of winning this holy grail war...

or

Let Rin and Shirou be killed, as well as fail the optional task that the chat group members wanted him to complete...

Just thinking how cunning the mastermind’s purpose is made him shudder, truly, Kaito once again realizes that an enemy who can see the future is truly terrifying to fight.

But right now, Kaito knows he doesn’t need to think more or hesitate about his decision.

All he needs to do is to win this fight, face the mastermind behind the scenes, and come back to the chat group where everyone is waiting for him!

...

”Gilgamesh, let’s end this farce! I want to end this fight in a single move!”

”Hoh... Why you thought I would agree with that?”

”Because I know you want to see what I am capable of!” Kaito answered seriously and then asked, ”Also, isn’t this would be a great way to end our fight?”

”After all, both of us won’t last long either!”

”Hahaha! You are plotting against me, aren’t you?” Hearing Kaito’s persuasion, Gilgamesh laughed out loud but then he nodded and answered, ”But okay! This king also wanted to see your strongest move!”

”I won’t lie! I swear by the name of god-- ouch, demon king!”

After saying that, Kaito took another 2 custom holy grails from his Gate of Babylon, replenishing his energy beyond capacity and only leaving another one inside the Gate of Babylon.

Kaito knows what is Gilgamesh’s ultimate move, capable of-- so he truly needs to go all out to survive.

EA is no joke to go against, after all-- it’s labeled as anti-world treasure.

After being filled with a lot of energy, Kaito then communicates with Est, asking her permission to go all out and use their ultimate move.

...

This ultimate ’move’ has never been used once before and is possibly dangerous to both of them considering there must be an unknown cost--and it’s also required Est to cooperate. However, Kaito is confident that this move definitely will win him this battle... the only question is what kind of cost both he and Est need to pay after using it.

At first, Est instantly rejected it, as she was also afraid of the cost herself after using this move. However, feeling the desperation from Kaito, in the end, Est agreed to her master’s request reluctantly. Because his master enemy this time is truly outrageously strong, and she admits Gilgamesh is probably just as strong if not stronger than the demon king back in her world.

...

[Master, is it necessary to do this? We don’t know what’s going to happen to us after we did this?]

”Est, I am sorry... but if we want to survive, I couldn’t think of any other move that was capable of this guy’s ultimate move.”

[...Yes master.]

...

After getting her confirmation, Kaito then becomes focused and starts pouring his abundant energy into Est.

The moment Kaito desperately put all of his immense energy into her-- Est temporarily returned to her perfect form.. thanks to the powerful Imagine Breaker effect it managed to temporarily unseal her. The form of Est which was initially a white and blue one-handed longsword with the hilt being partially gold quickly grew into a two-handed broadsword with the same color scheme in Kaito’s hand while also releasing a very strong aura to the surrounding area.

*BOOM*

....!!!

With her aura alone, Est caused the space around her to distort and a huge holy aura made the entire Mount Enzo lit up brightly. Of course, As a devil, Kaito was also affected by this aura, feeling unprecedented pain all over his body as if he was doused with holy water. He felt both of his hands were very hot and painful as if he was soaking in lava.

But his move doesn’t stop there-- because this is only halfway to completion of this ultimate move idea.

...

There are reasons why in the original Est was afraid of making contact with others initially, before she was owned by the original protagonist.

As we all know, Terminus Est can destroy all magic and curses. However, the way it work... instead of erasing them, it instead absorbed all of them in itself, which would soon be passed onto its master. This makes it more of a demon sword rather than a sacred sword that’ll soon kill its master in exchange for using its incredible power.

But Kaito, as the user, never suffers from this trouble. After all, any curse that is transferred to Kaito himself gets negated passively by Imagine Breaker in his right hand... so Kaito doesn’t have this setback and could use Est more freely without consequence.

However, like his Imagine Breaker who is different from the original (could applied to anything) Kaito also notices her Est is also different than the original... stronger if not much stronger, and versatile.

Her ability to use anti-magic properties is much better than the original protagonist, and Kaito also notices that Est also grows with him.

This is more clear when Est manages to absorb Imagine Breaker and combining with her power.... which is logically impossible to happen. Although Imagine Breaker is marked as an ability, in essence, it does have a curse to negate anything supernatural and misfortune... Yet, Est managed to use it and empowered herself using its effect without problem... instead of getting affected by it.

Realizing Est cannot even get affected by the potent Imagine Breaker curse, this gives Kaito a simple idea...

What if Est absorbs a curse that’s way stronger than his Imagine Breaker possessed right now, and uses it to boost Est’s power?

And Kaito does have this kind of curse.

Since he was born as a time traveler, Kaito has always been aware that his strongest attribute is neither his brain, tenacity, agility, or strength...

But his bad luck aka his misfortune.

The thing that caused him to suffer from bad luck for his entire luck, and it certainly must be a form of curse.

There’s no other explanation, and it must be a really strong curse since the chat group seems actively hiding it from him until he reaches a very high level of privilege... and he needs an unbelievable astronomical amount of points just trying to weaken its effect using chat group.

And that’s literally what Kaito’s ultimate move is about.

Temporarily return Est into her prime form under the Imagine Breaker effect. And then in her perfect form, Est will try to absorb the curse of misfortune within him.The only problem is none of them know how strong Kaito’s curses are and what the cost... but at this point, Kaito feels they should focus on how to survive this.

...

So, right now. Est who has turned into her unsealed form then does the second step, absorbing his own master’s ’curse’... which unfortunately has proven to be a fatal mistake.

The moment Est absorbs Kaito ’curses’,  Est is instantly tremendously stronger... outrageously stronger... to the point where Est herself is afraid she is going to be destroyed in this process.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

....!!!!

Her power skyrocketed to the point where Est caused the entire city of Fuyuki brightly lit as if the second sun had landed in the area. Even from outer space, Est’s aura can be seen clearly by everyone on Earth.

The entire population of Fuyuki was also affected, making all ordinary people get suppressed and fainted after getting exposed to just a fraction of her power.

In fact, at this moment, the whole planet feels it... the feeling of dread that the world is about to be destroyed and this caused turmoil to all forces on the planet including some biggest forces like True Ancestor group, and world consciousness itself (Gaia and Alaya).

...

As the master, Kaito also noticed that Est taking too much power, and told her to stop... but it was way too late.

What is happening is that Est tries her best to absorb Kaito’s misfortune curse... but finds herself overwhelmed... with powerful negative energy. Est herself can tell that she doesn’t even absorb 1/1000 of Kaito’s curses, yet she is getting eroded and can’t even stop herself from it.

Kaito’s curses of misfortune are something she had never seen and way more powerful than any curse she has absorbed before.

...

 ’Master...! I... am... s...or...r...y....!’

’Est!!’

...

With Est’s last message, Kaito realizes something must be very wrong, as Est lost herself and this amount of energy is probably enough to destroy the whole city. He realizes that his idea certainly works, but Kaito never counts whether Est is capable of absorbing it from Kaito himself and he starts regretting his decision to even try doing this.

...

’If the system even can’t suppress my bad luck, why I would think Est could control it either!’

’Damn it! What is the real source of my misfortune?!’

’Crap! What did I have done, fuck fuck!’

...

Est is literally in her true form right now, yet she is unable to handle his ’curses’... he certainly underestimated how strong his bad luck curse is.

Est’s sword form also blackened with a few cracks on its surface, and the energy it released also turned a dark glow... which made him concerned further.

Kaito desperately trying to stop right now, but he also knows it’s impossible to stop. Est already getting affected by his own ’curse’, and the energy that is accumulating is way too massive for him to try to return. It’s clear that If he forcefully stops this move, both himself and Est would blow up together... so the best course of action is just trying to release it.

>>>>>

On the other hand, Gilgamesh who saw the blinding light in front of him just laughed very loudly, really impressed and happy about what he saw in front of him. As everything in front of him was barely visible, Gilgamesh didn’t notice Kaito’s struggle and panic and thought the demon boy must be proud.

After all, Gilgamesh himself admitted that the ’aura’ is enough to destroy him if he isn’t prepared and protects himself with a ton of treasure.

Gilgamesh admits, that what he witnesses right now is very terrifying, to the point that it’s comparable to Mother Tiamat’s threat back then in Uruk... the literal Beast II herself.

...

”HAHAHAHA! I thought that sword and your right hand were already dangerous enough before, now its presence alone enough to scare the world! What a terrifying sword!”

”But I won’t yield! And since you have shown your sincerity, then as a benevolent king, I will fulfill my promise to go all out too!”

”Come out, EA!”

...

After saying that, Gilgamesh’s Gate of Babylon then opened and he pulled out a black sword (?) inscribed with red line symbols... the infamous sword of Gilgamesh’s strongest noble phantasm, the EA.

Without further ado, Gilgamesh then immediately gathered his energy, with the clear intention of competing with Kaito. Soon after, energy also began to skyrocket at in alarming rate, affecting the space itself with a red glow--- and giving a feeling of dread to Kaito who stood directly in front of it.

*BOOM*

....!!!!

Looking at it, it’s clear Gilgamesh also going all out toward Kaito, unlike in the anime where he holding back against Saber.

Kaito admits that he severely underestimated full-power EA before. It’s not something he could fight with the conventional way-- as it’s already a conceptual weapon, which he guess is around 7* tier strength.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, Kaito’s ’ultimate move’ seems to be comparable to EA itself. When the 2 weapons exposed their energy side by side, the energy aura released by Est was comparable to EA... as they were equal in size.

The whole mountain now shaking intensely due to the friction between 2 powerful swords... but it’s far from over.

After finishing charging his energy for a few seconds, Gilgamesh didn’t hesitate to swing his EA towards Kaito-- launching a noble phantasm that could split the world at full power.

”Here I come! [Enuma Elish]!”

...!!!

Kaito, who saw that Gilgamesh had launched his attack, also released his attack in response immediately which he named based on the Terminus Est name translation.

”[The End!]”

....!!!

Erupting from Gilgamesh’s sword, a terrifying red color energy attack seemed to want to tear apart everything in the world-- be it energy or space itself. And Erupting from Kaito, a terrifying dark color energy attack that seems to want to erase all material concepts in the world.

The moment two forces of ’destroying world power’ clash together... the entire area experiences a huge shock and rupture at the same time.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The collided energy then expands quickly to the whole city area... acting similarly to a nuclear bomb explosion on a much larger scale like a big volcanic explosion... as it affected the entire planet Earth.

Anything within a hundred miles of distance evaporates instantly at the speed of light, and both Kaito and Gilgamesh are blown away by it together.

The confrontation between the two also caused an unprecedented earthquake for the entire planet, caused tsunamis around the world and the shockwave cleared the weather around-- making a celestial phenomenon that can be seen by the whole planet!

In the end.

The whole of Mount Enzo-- no, the entire Fuyuki city and its surroundings also got flattened in the process, with all of the trees and any kind of building structure disappearing and reduced to atoms... leaving a crater a hundred kilometers wide, which even reach the other city, and directly some part cracked the island into pieces.

Needless to say, thanks to his reckless idea of doing his best fighting against Gilgamesh using his ultimate move without knowing how strong it was-- for the first time, Kaito killed innocent lives.

And not just one or two, or dozen of lives.

But millions of innocent lives were lost in the process.
