The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After taking Rentaro to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, Kisara also comes to visit. She thanks Manaka and Kaito for their help in finding Enju in such a dangerous area.

”Enju, don’t run away anymore from us.” Kisara sternly reminded her, ”Even if you can’t attend the school anymore, we can teach you from home.”

”I am sorry, Kisara-san.”

”It’s okay.” Kisara pats Enju on the head to reassure her, and then turns to Satomi Rentaro, who lies in the hospital bed. ”Injuries again?”

”It’s an accident...” Rentaro wryly smiled.

*Sigh*

Kisara, who was already used to her childhood friend entering the hospital multiple times, just sighed and then turned to Kaito and Manaka, who were watching the show, ”Thank you for saving this dumbass.”

”Aren’t you a bit too harsh calling me dumbass...” (Rentaro)

””Shut up!”” (Enju/Kisara immediately retorted)

””Pffftt...!!””

Looking at the comedic scene in front of them, everyone in the room is laughing at the same time... while Rentaro is resigned to the situation, which he doesn’t mind at all. Rentaro is aware that if he had handled/anticipated the situation better, the incident today would not have happened.

And most importantly, Rentaro is glad Enju was able to cheer up quickly from today’s accident.

Looking at his partner Enju, who was surrounded by Midori with Jack and looking quite happy, Rentaro is glad that they got a co-worker joining their corporation; otherwise, he is not sure how to make Enju feel better himself after experiencing such an incident.

...

”Pffft... Anyway, just lie down and accept your punishment.” Kaito teased, ”Don’t worry, we can take turns looking after you.”

”Not now, though. ” Manaka commented and then pulled Kaito’s shirt to her side, ”Because we’re gonna have a date today.”

...???

”Huh? Yeah... yeah... we do!” Kaito nodded repeatedly, pretending to know anything about this.

Although Kaito didn’t hear that Manaka wanted to ask him out on a date today, his years of living with girls gave him the ability to adapt quickly.

Rejecting a girl who wanted to ask him out on a date would be downright stupid, and of course, Kaito himself didn’t mind this, especially considering the many things Manaka did in this group task alone. Also, since Manaka was the newest girl to express her desire to join Kaito’s harem, Kaito himself, so far, had never been on a date with Manaka and was looking forward to what this cunning girl had planned.

”Very good, you didn’t forget our date schedule.” Manaka said and then looked at everyone with an apologetic look, ”So... Would you mind if we go on a date first before Kaito-kun can take care of Rentaro tonight?”

Everyone looks at each other and then nods together. Naturally, none of them feel opposed to Kaito and Manaka’s relationship, and after today’s incident, they are genuinely seeing them as a friend and wish the best for them.

...

”There’s no way we want to ruin your date. You guys are already helping me a lot today, but isn’t it a bit too late now?” (Rentaro)

”There’s a romantic cafe that operates at night. I want to try it.” (Manaka)

”Ah, there are a lot of them in central Tokyo. I heard it was very good.” (Kisara)

”Then leave it to me to guard Rentaro until you guys come back.” (Enju)

”I will stay here, I won’t bother Manaka nee-san and Kaito-sama’s date. I also wanted to play with Enju.” (Midori)

”Jack also wants to play with Enju. Mom can have fun with brother.” (Jack)

”You guys... thank you, Jack and Midori!” (Enju)

”Well, have fun.” Kisara wryly smiled,  ”Sometimes I can’t believe both of you are 18 years old and older than us.”

”Ahaha... Haha... Yeah...” Kaito was scratching his head in embarrassment, knowing what she was talking about, ”It is what it is.”

Even though they were indeed 18 years old and their IDs showed the same, everyone who saw their appearances naturally became suspicious. First, Kaito’s appearance seems too young and too similar to Rentaro, who was a high school student. Second, Manaka, thanks to her petite body shape and very fragile appearance, looked much younger than her supposed age; people would even think she was only 1 or 2 years older than the cursed children generation, whose average age was 9-11 years old.

...

Anyway, after excusing themselves and saying goodbye to everyone, Kaito and Manaka finally left the hospital while leaving Midori and Jack behind to play Enju.

Looking at the clock on his cellphone, it was 9 pm. Kaito looked at Manaka, who was pressing her body onto his arm (which at this point Kaito had already gotten used to) and asked, ”We still have a bit of time, I think... where do you want to take me, Manaka?”

Since the ’date’ is too sudden, Kaito had no idea where to go and just let Manaka bring her wherever she wanted.

...

”To a quiet place where there are no people,” Manaka answered seriously, while tightly grabbing his arm

”???”

Hearing such an answer, Kaito quickly flinched and commented, ”I know you like me, but I refuse to have sex this soon! At least, change her body size to be a little more mature!” Kaito added.

”Is that so? So you don’t like a petite body like mine? I thought you were lolicon.”

”No way! I like cute things doesn’t mean I want to ravage them!”

”But I am cute and legal for you to touch?” Manaka corrected seductively, ”You know how I act for people who become my love interest. I wouldn’t mind if you want to do anything with my body.”

”Uh... Please stop. At least not now... It’s too fast, and I haven’t touched anyone before you!”

Although Kaito was genuinely tempted by her proposal, he knew what was more important right now-- especially when they were still in a public space!

Not to mention, he doesn’t betray all the woman who believes in him!

”Pffft... Honestly, I would like to have a romantic date with you, Kaito-kun.” Looking at Kaito, who was flustered and doing his best not to react, Manaka finally released her arm, ”But unfortunately, we have a more important thing to do right now.”

”We do?”

”Let’s go!”

”Uh... where?”

”...”

Looking at Kaito’s slow and confused reaction, Manaka, who was usually expressionless, looked at him with deadpanned eyes and stated, ”You haven’t opened the chat group, don’t you?”

”Uh... no.” Kaito shook his head. ”What happened?”

”Just open it!”

”Ah, okay.”

Since he was the one who drove the car and his mind was also occupied by the Rentaro matter earlier, Kaito naturally didn’t open the chat group at all. So, Kaito quickly opened the chat group and was immediately greeted with Team 1 people waiting for him!

=====

[Owner]: ”Hello. What happened?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Kaito, where are you? Manaka should have already told you to go back, right? We already have Hiruko Kagetane in our hands!”

[God Tongue]: ”Yeah, we’ve already been waiting for you for hours now!”

[Railgun Girl]: ”What a slow leader!”

[Owner]: ”What? Why did you capture him?! It’s not part of our plan, right?”

[Scarlet Devil Headmaid]: ”Master, please visit the base as soon as possible, the moment you have finished your business. We are going to prepare for a big event very soon, and your presence in the meeting is very crucial.”

[Owner]: ”Eh?!”

=====

Looking at the chat about how they seem already captured Hiruko Kagetane, Kaito immediately got confused about what was happening right now. Considering Hiruko is the person who causes Scorpion to attack Tokyo in the plot, by doing this... doesn’t it mean they prevent Gastrea level 5 from ever attacking the city?

”Why did the plan suddenly change?” Kaito asked Manaka.

”Think it carefully.” Manaka chimmed in, ”You should figure out easily what’s happening, Kaito.”

”Umm...”

...

With a lot of good people in the chat group, perhaps there are a lot of people who want to prevent incidents from happening in the first place. Maybe, Erina, Misaka, Saitama... all of those good people prefer them to handle Scorpion on their own.

Kaito knows that letting Scorpion attack the city would cause massive casualties both to the Tokyo military and civilians, even in the original plot... but disturbing the plot directly when they still haven’t found any Est soul fragment in this world isn’t part of their plan at all.

After all, everyone agrees that finding Est’s soul fragment is the most important thing to do right now... regardless whats happening in the plot.

Even if it’s causing suffering to the Tokyo Area, the chat group members don’t have an obligation to prevent it from happening, which gonna reveal themselves in public. That would make their subsequent work to find Est’s soul fragment harder in case it was hidden by any organization in this world.

...unless they don’t need to hide anymore.

...!!

’Unless it has been confirmed that Est’s soul fragment is inside Scorpion!’ Kaito thought.

Kaito genuinely thinks that’s the only logical reason behind the chat group action and the truly worst case scenario! Now remember his bad luck, such that the worst possible outcome isn’t that stretch anymore, if anything, Kaito is more convinced that’s actually what’s happening right now.

In that case, they really can’t let Scorpion, who must be enhanced by the curse, get close to Tokyo at all!

If a normal person could become a 3* person just by a fraction of the curse, Kaito can’t imagine what the full curse could do to level 5 Gastrea! Forget about the city, it could probably even sink the entire country by itself!

...

”Manaka!”

Kaito immediately held Manaka’s shoulder tightly to the point she felt a bit of pain from it. ”Is it confirmed that Est’s soul fragments in this world are attached to Scorpion?!”

”100 point for you, Kaito-kun. I know you would figure it out.” Manaka nodded and gave Kaito a small kiss on his cheeks, ”Don’t panic. Let’s go to the base as soon as possible to prepare.”

*Chu*

...!!

”Uhh...!” Kaito immediately flustered and complained, ”Can you stop it? Are you forgetting we are currently in public?!”

”If you are concerned with that, don’t worry~ For me, it’s easy to brainwash everyone in the city to ignore us just by breathing!”

”Ah.”

Hearing Manaka’s answer, Kaito facepalmed himself, feeling stupid that he forgot the identity of the girl in front of him. But still, it’s not the reason to keep doing it in public, and it still feels embarrassing for him!

”But then, why don’t we just teleport to the base directly right now?”

”Pffft... because I just want to tease you.” Manaka chuckled, ”I think it’s funny that you often forget my identity, Kaito, but I am glad you genuinely treat me like someone you care about, and are not afraid of me.”

”There’s no way I would be afraid of you!”

...!!

*Ouch*

Kaito flicked her forehead. Although Manaka was scary (Kaito was her victim in the Fate world), Kaito knew that this girl was just someone who was lonely and needed a friend who could accept her identity.

Hearing Kaito’s answer, Manaka’s eyes quickly became teary and quickly hugged him tightly, ”Kaito-kun, I love you! I love you so much! Please ravage me!”

...!!

”Stop it!! What are you saying!?! ” Kaito became panicked, ”We are in public... Ah, I am so dumb! You are a magician! Please erase everyone’s memory!”

”Pffft!! It’s okay if you are dumb because a lot of people love you. After all, you are trying to do your best to take care of everyone!”

”That doesn’t make me feel happy at all!” Kaito retorted loudly, while forcing her to break her hug, ”Anyway, release me! We shouldn’t make our friends wait for us, let’s go! And I don’t think teleporting in this posture would make everyone happy! Especially with Sakuya and Aika!”

”Tch.”

”Don’t Tch at me! Hold my hand tightly!”

*BLINK*

...!!

After that, Kaito, who figured out the situation, immediately took Manaka to teleport to Aika’s office in their base... where all the Team 1 members were already waiting for them. There was also a person who Kaito didn’t expect to be participating, and Kaito was genuinely surprised to see him again.
