The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

Hearing what Manaka said, Kaito, who was previously happy and full of hope, once again fell into loss and depression... couldn’t believe what she said.

”Are you kidding me? Est must still be here, right? That shattered soul... it can’t be...”

”I’m afraid I’m not joking.” Manaka replied sadly, ”Root has confirmed that your partner has escaped from this world.”

”Damn it... Fuck...”

*Sob*

Realizing that Est was truly ’killed’ by him, Kaito cried once again, truly regretting his actions. He didn’t expect the trump card he used to have such a dangerous side effect on Est.

He also felt angry at this world, at the chat group, who forced him to do that... but deep down, Kaito was more angry at himself, for daring to use the ’curse’ of bad luck that even the chat group system couldn’t handle.

Right now, His only hope was that the chat group system could help him. After all, Est came as a gift to him from them... surely the system would have a way to save Est again.

Although he didn’t know how many points he would need later, Kaito swore that he would save Est!

...

”Anyway, Kaito-kun. My condolences to your partner but can we continue our transaction?”

”Ah... Yeah.”

Realizing that the world still looked like it was after doomsday, Kaito temporarily put Est’s problem aside, ”Before that, can you at least help me?”

”What kind of help?”

”At least, restore my condition to normal... my body still feels pain you know?”

”Ah... that makes sense.”

Looking at Kaito’s body condition which was ’barely living’, Manaka snapped her fingers, and then out of nowhere, Kaito was suddenly surrounded by a green aura that made his heart calm... and made his whole body feel warm and comfortable.

Then, all his damaged body parts slowly recovered visibly... until all his damaged or severed limbs grew back.

Shortly after, Kaito felt he had enough energy to stand up and no longer felt pain, feeling amazed and grateful for what Manaka did.

...

”Thank you.”

After feeling Manaka’s sincerity, Kaito lowered his guard a little bit and calmly said, ”So what do you want from me...? Can you help me get the holy grail already and end this ’facade’ of task?”

”Even though I helped you, you still don’t have a good impression of me... it seems like you’re quite arrogant, Kaito.”

”Of course, that’s because I know your identity, male King Arthur crazy fangirl.”

”Pfft.”

Hearing what Kaito said, Manaka chuckled, not denying what Kaito said while Jack who had been silent all this time looked at Kaito with hostility. Unfortunately, Kaito who could now move was no longer afraid of Jack, and even had an idea for revenge, if Manaka wasn’t here!

...

Kaito rolled his eyes and commented in a sharp tone, ”Anyway, stop joking around. To fix all the mistakes I did including reviving everyone that died in this holy grail war... what do you want in exchange?”

”Pfft... Patience Kaito... Let me tell you the biggest factor why you are ’losing’ in this holy grail war.” Manaka chuckled and explained, ”You know? Our original plan is to capture every target behind your back.”

”That’s... not surprising at all to me.”

Considering Kaito and his master were separated, he admitted that Manaka’s plan had indeed worked... if his master had been taken hostage, no matter how great he was, he would have been rendered immobile.

Once again, Kaito realized how foolish he decided to deal with Medea first before securing Rin and Shirou just because they were protagonists.

...

”After you defeat all the servants from our side, then we are going to force you to agree with our wish, and in exchange, we will let you win the holy grail.”

”In that way, we fulfill the agreement with the system behind you, while we could also gain benefit from you.”

”But plans can’t see adapting to change. Who would have thought your fight with Gilgamesh would be so destructive.”

Hearing Manaka’s sincere comment, Kaito raised his eyebrows and said, ”Didn’t you guys plan by looking into the future?”

”Pfft... are you serious, Kaito?”

Manaka laughed and quipped, ”You! A person who is backed up by a system far stronger than this world, how could we possibly see your future?!”

”All we did was plan based on your plan... like the one you discussed at the Emiya residence that night.”

Manaka shrugged and explained, ”What we did do? We just outsmarted you, because you were so arrogant that you said you could fight all servants without fear, it was easy for me to guess what you wanted to do.”

Hearing Aika’s explanation, Kaito admitted that he was indeed too overconfident and arrogant in this world. He realized that he forgot that he was previously a weak person who always used a definite strategy to win the situation-- but in this world, the strategy he used was based on tangible things like the protagonist role and plot, something he learned could change easily.

He also learned that he should stop underestimating the enemy, even though he is confident to win. Like, who knows that ’prepared Gilgamesh’ is so difficult to fight against??

What makes the enemy doesn’t plan against him when he continuously plans against them?

Kaito swore he wouldn’t underestimate any of his enemies in the future. He is lucky that this happened during the personal task, if something like this had happened to everyone in the chat group--- Kaito would lost his family, and all members trusted him.

”...I will learn from my mistake.” Kaito took a deep breath and sincerely requested, ”Can you return everything to normal quickly?”

Looking at Kaito seems enlightened by her talk, Manaka nodded and said, ”Sure. We can return everything to normal and even make you the owner of third magic after you get the holy grail.”

After saying that, Manaka’s eyes looked bright, with an expression full of hope, ”In exchange! I want you to invite me to the chat group system behind you!”

Hearing the unexpected thing from Manaka, Kaito’s eyes opened wide and asked impatiently, ”You even know the existence of the chat group...?”

”Of course, because the system behind you is known to many kinds of worlds in the multiverse and many of them, including this world. If possible, everyone wants to get involved in the system behind you.”

Hearing that the chat group system seemed to be highly sought after in all kinds of worlds, Kaito asked again, ”Eh... Why?”

”You don’t know the purpose of the chat group system behind you?”

Manaka who didn’t expect Kaito, as the owner of the chat group, didn’t know the chat group info immediately explained, ”Well... according to Root’s explanation, the chat group was an entity stronger than any world will out there, which facilitate multiple worlds out there to communicate each other, exchanging resource, solve problem within their world and fight the threats that will come from outside in the foreseen future.”

”It’s no secret, that worlds that have members represented in them also have priority when they need help. In addition, members in the chat group also have the opportunity to become stronger and explore other worlds, like you are doing now, Kaito.”

...

Hearing Manaka’s answer, Kaito was shocked... but felt that many of the chat group’s behaviors now made sense. Because this system was formed from the hopes of many worlds... many of the missions it issued were related to saving the world/changing tragedies.

He also doesn’t deny that the world where the chat group members come from has priority over others, because he wants his first mission to save Akitsu and change the Sekirei world for the better.

Exchange resources also made sense, because he knew the world portal was a thing when he finally got enough resources to upgrade this chat group again. When that feature exists, even he has a plan to connect multiple worlds to the base world, like Naruto and Sekirei.

It is also no wonder that the chat group constantly pushed everyone to become stronger-- especially Kaito who acted as the leader... if it’s prepared to fight the threats coming from outside. Although Kaito wondered what kind of threat it was, Kaito who had read many chat group stories before could guess what it was about.

Maybe the threat in question was people who came to loot the world itself from something like the ”main space god” or outer god entity like from Cthulhu mythology.

But this also raised another question for Kaito himself. Why did it have to be in the form of a ”chat group?”

Why did the chat group feel biased, and want Kaito to grow faster than the other members? After all, the benefits he got as the owner were terrifying-- enough for him to get a new ability every single month from daily tasks alone!

And the biggest question, what does the chat group have to do with the ”bad luck” curse that had plagued him since birth? Kaito couldn’t help but suspect that the reason he was appointed as the leader must have something to do with this.

Although Kaito is grateful that the chat group gives him a chance to build a family, he also has a grudge against it especially since Est got killed in this task.

...

”So, what’s your answer, Kaito?”

”Uh... does it have to be you? It’s not like you want to become stronger right?” Kaito scratched his back and asked, ”I am sorry... Can I just invite Ilya or Saber instead?”

Kaito did have plans to invite someone in this world, but Manaka was not the ideal person for that... because Kaito knew she was even more difficult to deal with than Aika!

After all, this girl is a crazy girl who doesn’t hesitate to destroy the world to fulfill the male King Arthur’s dream and is the main antagonist in Fate Prototype!

If Crocodile is just a mini-boss, Manaka’s role acts like the final boss in this world comparable to Blackbeard or Imu himself!

...

Hearing Kaito’s answer, Manaka became disappointed and frowned as she said, ”Kaito-kun, the only reason I travel to this parallel world is due to the chance to leave this world... because this world is boring for me.”

”Ah.”

Considering Manaka’s character setting, Kaito immediately understood why she wanted to join. As the Root Princess, Manaka could do anything in this world, but because of that, she also knew everything that happened in this world-- making her feel bored.

It was no wonder that she dreamed of a situation where everything around her was unknown, and the only way this could happen was to leave the Moon world where root influence could not be reached!

After hearing Manaka’s answer, Kaito lowered his guard again, ”If you join... Do you promise not to act ”crazy”, especially against another member?

”Kaito-kun. I’m not crazy. The only reason I did that in my original world was because King Arthur’s Majesty was the only one I could be interested in.”

”But now, my interest in the outside world far exceeds his!”

”A world where everything is fresh! How can I deny that kind of possibility?!”

Manaka, with crazed eyes, grabbed Kaito’s shoulders and threatened, ”Please, invite me into the chat group! I don’t care what the price is! You can use my body as you wish, I can do anything for you, as long as you invite me!”

...!!!

”Manaka-san... calm down... okay I agree, but please act normally!”

”I don’t care, it’s not like there’s anyone here!”

”Yeah, but... fine! Damn it!”

...

In the end, after Manaka’s coercion, Kaito finally promised to invite her into the chat group after he had no choice. Hearing his promise, Manaka then kept her promise and restored the world to its original state.

Instantly, the entire world changed-- as if time had been turned back... and all the effects that Kaito and Gilgamesh had caused to the planet Earth disappeared as if it had never happened.

Seeing this, Kaito admitted, that inviting Manaka Saijyou into the chat group wasn’t a bad idea, because she would be another powerhouse member and a strong peerage member.

Even so, Kaito who had an idea also still had a plan to bring Saber and Ilya to the chat group, or at least, bring them both to live in the base world.
