The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

The next day after a hearty talking with Sakuya, Kaito decided to walk around the base world to see what the chat group members usually do. Yesterday, when Sakuya said goodbye to him, she suggested that Kaito take some time to walk around to see what the other members were doing in the base world and Kaito decided to accept her suggestion.

Kaito admitted that since having the ”creation” ability he had always focused on practicing and innovating, not caring about what the other members were doing in the base world. Kaito also realized that he was rarely in the chat group, only appearing when he needed/had something to say.

This was not a good attitude as a chat group leader, even though the reason was to increase his strength so that he could protect the other members.

Now, Kaito had become one of the strongest members in the chat group, it was only right that he now fulfilled his other obligations as a leader, namely getting to know and paying attention to what the members were doing.

When Kaito came out after breakfast, he decided to visit the mansion lobby to see if anyone was there hanging around. He never visited the place before except for the first time when the mansion is still freshly built, so Kaito was kind of curious about what’s going on in it.

Arriving at the lobby, Kaito found Yuu, Uta, and Lisbeth using the room (a very unusual combination of people)-- but more importantly, Kaito did not expect the room to have changed drastically from what he knew.

Unlike before when the room was only equipped with chairs and a TV, the lobby room was now very spacious with its stage, a giant monitor with chairs arranged like in a cinema, and on the left side you could see various snacks available that members could consume at any time.

The lobby room he knew now looked more like a recreation room, making Kaito realize how indifferent he had been to this mansion before as he didn’t realize this room had changed.

Now he was curious about how the other rooms had changed, but right now Kaito was more concerned with what Yuu, Uta, and Lisbeth (Shinozaki Rika) were doing in this room, the three of them, with the karaoke equipment on.

Were they having karaoke here?

...

Seeing that they didn’t notice Kaito’s arrival (because they were busy staring at the screen), Kaito decided to greet them, ”Hello everyone, what are you guys doing here?”

”Kaito-kun!” Uta greeted him back first with excitement, ”It’s unusual for me to see you here! Are you looking for us?!”

”Not really.” Kaito shook his head, ”I was just casually walking around and seeing what the members were doing, because I realized I never do that.”

””Wow!!””

Hearing Kaito’s answer, the three of them were equally shocked since something like this had never happened before.

”It’s like losing Est woke you up, Kaito.” Lisbeth commented with a sarcastic tone, ”In the past, you never did something like this.”

”That’s right! In the past, he would often practice swordsmanship with Miya, have lunch and dinner with Erina, and then lock himself away and experiment with your creative abilities.” Uta added.

”Kaito is the most introverted person in the group, second only to Kayaba Akihiko.” Yuu also joined in.

...

”...I am sorry about my behavior so far!”

Hearing these three people’s harsh comments, Kaito admitted feeling embarrassed. Unexpectedly, the impression of the chat group member was that bad, but he also couldn’t deny it because he was indeed obsessed with training and becoming stronger than before!

It doesn’t help when his Creation ability comes to him and he is eager to master it.

...

”So what are you guys doing here with karaoke tools on?”

”Oh, it’s obvious we want to sing!” Uta replied and explained, ”But the real reason is because Rika and Yuu want to learn how to sing from me.”

”Sing?” Hearing that, Kaito looked at Yuu and Lizbeth.

He understood Yuu’s desire to learn how to sing since he had trouble even talking for hundreds of years-- but Lizbeth? One of the most tomboyish girls in the chat group Misaka... wants to learn how to sing?!?

”Kaito, I feel like your stare is making me feel irritated. What are you thinking?” Lisbeth (Rika) commented.

”Uh... I understand the reason behind it Yuu...” Kaito shook his head, and raised his eyebrow, ”But why do you want to learn how to sing too? Do you want to be an idol?”

”Huh!? Of course not!” Lisbeth (Rika) denied his accusation, ”I just want to improve my singing skills.”

”What’s wrong with that?”

”No! It’s a good goal!” Kaito reassured her and then turned to Yuu, ”Are you the same, Yuu? With your voice, honestly, you would make a great singer.”

”That’s what I thought too!” Uta exclaimed and nodded in agreement, ”Her soft voice is quite mesmerizing and she would be perfect to sing a slow and melodic song!”

”I agree with that. Yeah... She is perfect for that.”

Remember how cute Yuu’s voice was in the memories (imagined by the protagonist although admittedly Yuu was voice by different Seiyuu each episode), he wanted to hear something from her. Although Kaito knows his idea sounds stupid and might backfire on him, as a man, he wants to listen to it from Yuu... even if it means gambling his luck.

Kaito forgot his luck is really bad though.

...

”Because of your voice discussion, Yuu, I have a request for you.”

”....Yes?”

”Yuu, before you try to sing, can you say, Onii-chan? You know, like your world protagonist usually imagine how you would sound like.”

...????

Hearing Kaito’s request, the three girls looked at Kaito like he was trash, but Kaito still looked very serious about it. Unfortunately, none of the girls seemed to be happy with his request, and as he had guessed earlier, it certainly backfired him.

”Disgusting.” (Lizbeth)

”Kaito-kun, I expect more from you.” (Uta)

”Onii... cha-- [Go Away].”

...!!!

*BAMMM*

”Ugh..!!”

Instead of listening to ’Onii-chan’ from Yuu, Kaito was thrown far away by her to the right wall, destroying the some part snack section in the lobby room.

Kaito immediately realized his joke had gone too far, especially when he saw Uta holding a mic and Lizbeth carrying a large blacksmith’s hammer coming towards him!

*Smash*

...!!!

”Wait-- wait I was kidding! Why you guys are offended by such a little joke?!”

”Lizbeth put that hammer away! Damn it!”

”I told you not to call me that! My name is Shinozaki Rika!”

...!!!

”AH!!”

In the end, Kaito was forced to teleport out of the room, avoiding the wrath of the 3 women who were angry at his behavior. From here, Kaito learned to keep his mouth shut and not let his intrusive thoughts win even if they were his peerage members.

Though he was happy to have a chance to talk leisurely topic with them.

After visiting the lobby and several rooms, Kaito found no one else in the mansion so he decided to head outside figuring they were going to be there. As expected, the moment Kaito left the mansion, he immediately found several people doing activities together.

In the sky in the west direction, Kaito could see Nanoha and Fate bringing Ilya and Jack fly in the sky... while Berserker chased and jumped after them at a very high speed.

Kaito wondered what kind of game they were playing and what they were playing... but he didn’t want to chase them or join them.

He decides to let the kids have fun and doesn’t want to disturb them. Besides he was curious about something else, as not far from the field, Kaito saw Misaka and Saber having an intense sword fight against each other inside a ring made of ice wall, while Miya and Akitsu looked after them.

*Clank*

*Clank*

...!!

Noticing him walking towards them, Miya immediately greeted Kaito, ”Good afternoon. Kaito, are your preparations complete?”

”Master, good afternoon.” (Akitsu)

”Good afternoon you two.” Kaito greeted them back, ”Half done, but some of the props I made will help us a lot in doing the task later.”

”Misaka and Saber... have you been fighting for a long time?”

”Only about 10 minutes but it’s already good.” Miya answered while looking at the two of them, ”I thought Misaka would lose quickly but it looks like her sword training all this time has paid off a little bit.”

”Yes, plus Haki and electromagnetic, honestly Misaka is a tough opponent.” Kaito nodded in agreement, ”However, I can see Misaka starting to get tired and probably losing sooner.”

”Yes, her stamina is still the capacity of a middle school student. Even though she has increased her stamina, she is still inferior to Saber who is a heroic spirit and has participated in actual war.” Miya added, ”Do you want to join them, Kaito kun?”

Hearing Miya’s question, Kaito was honestly interested since his swordsmanship was still lacking, but he decided to decline, ”Not today. Today I decided to walk around and see what people usually do in the base world.”

”Oh? That’s unusual.” Miya and Akitsu were surprised, ”That’s a great idea. You usually either spend time training or hole yourself inside your room.”

”Everyone has been saying that.” Kaito wryly smiled, getting tired of people calling his out, ”I admit, that’s my mistake and I will spend more time with others from now on.”

”That’s nice to hear, Kaito.”

After that, Kaito and Miya chatted again, until finally, Kaito said goodbye because he wanted to see Sakuya and others who Miya told him they are currently painting the wall on the back of the mansion together.

>>>>>

When Kaito arrived at the back of the mansion, Kaito was stunned by what he saw here because the white back wall of the mansion was being painted haphazardly by the members.

They all seemed busy focusing on drawing and didn’t even notice Kaito’s arrival even though the members here were supposed to learn haki too. (it become standard among chat group members).

For example, Ravel was seen drawing a chocolate cake on the upper left side of the canvas, and Nico Robin used her devil fruit to draw her face on the upper right side.

...

”I can’t draw but I think it’s good enough!” (Ravel)

”I do think it looks good. Do you want my help, Ravel-san?” (Nico Robin)

”Ah, it’s okay! I just want to draw some cake on the wall, it’s not as hard as you do!” (Ravel)

...

Erina and Hisako were working together on the lower left side, drawing a scenery, and Manaka and Aika were seen drawing cats and dogs-- while scribbling and ruining on each other’s drawings.

It seemed like Aika and Manaka would be rivals in anything, and Kaito didn’t expect their feud to even come to something silly like this.

...

”You guys unbelievable...” (Erina)

”I blame Manaka for why she drew so close to me.” (Aika)

”Pfftt... I think you do it on purpose, Aika-san.” (Manaka)

”I pick this place first! You should go draw on the other side or above!” (Aika)

”I refuse. I prefer to draw here. You are the one who should go somewhere else.” (Manaka)

”These guys starting again...” (God Tongue)

”Erina-sama, stop caring about them and just focus on finishing our art.” (Hisako)

...

”Master, you’re here.”

Sakuya, the only one who didn’t join the painting activities realized he was here, and then called out to Kaito, ”Do you want to join in painting?”

”This activity of painting this wall... Can I ask what is the purpose of doing this?”

”Just for fun.”

”Really?”

”Yes, why? Do you think everyone needs to do something with purpose, Master?”

What kind of fun is this? To be honest, with everyone’s ability, Kaito believed they could paint the entire wall within a few minutes on their own. But Kaito admits, that  everyone looks to have fun and nothing wrong with it.

”Uhh...”

”Just kidding.”

Sakuya replied while watching everyone ’working hard’, ”I originally planned to paint this wall by myself quickly, but Ravel-san offered help and wanted to paint it herself. She wanted to paint our beloved mansion with something prettier than just plain white, which is a really interesting idea... so I figured to let her do it.”

”Then Aika and the others agreed and joined in too-- and this is the result...”

Hearing the reason behind this activity, Kaito nodded in agreement, ”Although it’s silly, I admit that Ravel-sama has some truth to it... maybe.”

”Pfft... at least the members are having fun.”

”That’s indeed true.” Kaito nodded with a peaceful smile on his face, ”Anyway, I want to thank you for your suggestion yesterday.”

”???”

”Thanks to your suggestion, today I saw many members doing activities together in many ways and everyone seemed to be having fun.”

”Glad to see you realize it, Master.” Sakuya nodded and then suggested, ”I honestly think you’re being too hard on yourself.”

”Taking time to have fun with others is important too. In that way, you will get along with others much better than simply them being your subordinate.”

”Yeah... If it’s possible, I would rather have fun too.”

”In the future, I will spend more time with the other members.”

”And maybe, make myself have fun in the process.”

...

Remembering his position as the king of the peerage, Kaito also felt that spending time with the others was something that must be done. Obviously, Kaito wanted the relationship between his peerage to not only be superficial but also to be close and able to work together well.

”With that...” Sakuya then gave Kaito a brush and a bucket of paint that could change color according to the holder’s wishes, ”Do you also want to join them, Master?”

”Sure!”

...

After that, Kaito then joined in painting the wall to draw all the members’ chat groups on the wall... but it didn’t go smoothly because Kaito forgot one fact about himself--- he’s not good at drawing!

In the end, all the members joined together, helping Kaito to complete his wish and drawing everyone in the chat group to the entire wall... which later in the future going to be the most popular tourist spot in the base world.
