Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1148: Chapter 1147: Magical Girl and the Far East Magic Research Club

”The club?”

Regarding Fang Zheng’s suggestion, everyone glanced at each other, seemingly unsure of how to react for a moment. However, Fang Zheng clearly anticipated this, so he smiled slightly and continued speaking.

”That’s right. Since you choose to keep fighting, you’ll need training. From your current battles, you are still in the exploratory stage. But this obviously won’t do. You must undergo training to adeptly use your magic to fight against enemies.”

This idea came to Fang Zheng after he arrived in this world, although initially it was meant for Nanoha.

From a certain perspective, Little Sakura has a higher talent in magic than Nanoha; Nanoha’s attack power is strong, but her problem lies in not having a qualified teacher for guidance.

Actually, it’s apparent from the animation that other than reclaiming Clow Cards, Little Sakura barely practices using the Clow Cards. However, Nanoha began experimenting and creating magic after losing to Fate.

If each battle were likened to an exam, then Little Sakura belongs to those who crammed last minute on the battlefield, whereas Nanoha had reviewed ahead of taking the exam.

Of course, if destruction were the sole criterion on the report card, Little Sakura barely passed the threshold every time, while Nanoha could roughly attain over ninety points.

But this isn’t an exam.

Magic is a gradual process. Although Little Sakura’s close calls make people sweat, the benefit lies in safety. Nanoha’s destructive power seems terrifyingly strong, but it has considerable side effects. More critical is that Nanoha lacks figures like Little Ke and Kuro Reed, who deeply understand magic, to assist and guide her.

Yuno, that useless snow mongoose, doesn’t help but rather just cheers on the sidelines. Heart of the Rising Sun, as a magitech device, lost feeling of involvement, leaving everything to Nanoha to ponder and push through. This resulted in large hidden injuries to her body, even almost leaving her paralyzed.

Since Fang Zheng arrived here, of course, he wouldn’t allow history to repeat itself. He wants Nanoha to receive proper training to avoid similar situations again.

Oh, and he wants Nanoha far away from that problematic Space-Time Bureau.

This world is now under Laozi’s Heavenly Dao Palace’s sanctions. Space-Time Bureau, get as far away as you can!

Who would want to go to a black-hearted organization employing child labor without even conducting health checks?

Fang Zheng felt strange when reading the comics back then. They mentioned that Nanoha’s illness accumulated over the years due to excessive use of Super Magic Bombardment, logically, a yearly health check by Space-Time Bureau should have detected it.

Yet they only appeared with hindsight after she became ill?

And it seems back then Space-Time Bureau didn’t even send anyone to offer condolences or compensation... they probably didn’t even give compensation money!

MMP, they lured a young girl from elementary school to save the world, then patted their butts and left once she got sick. No health checks or compensation money, truly a black-hearted enterprise.

Deservedly targeted by so many bosses!

Since Fang Zheng intervened, he wouldn’t let Space-Time Bureau fool the adorable ones around him anymore.

And now, Little Sakura wants to join, which is naturally the best.

”What do you think? Treat it like a club activity. At least during battles, this will give you more confidence.”

”I’m willing!”

As expected, the first to agree was Nanoha.

”I want to become strong, I want to protect everyone!”

”Me too!”

Little Sakura followed up immediately.

”I want to reclaim all the Clow Cards and fulfill my promise with Little Ke too.”

”Good.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng nodded, then took out several personal terminals and placed them in front of them.

”Wear this.”

”What is this...?”

”Personal terminals. You can think of them as communication tools. Through them, we can communicate anytime, anywhere without worrying about others finding out. Hence, if you encounter battles, you can immediately contact us, report battle situations, or seek assistance.”

”Really? That’s wonderful...”

Upon hearing this, both Nanoha and Little Sakura visibly relaxed. What they felt most during last night’s battle was isolation. Despite facing many enemies, the two girls could only rely on themselves to fight, and given the unconventional nature of such battles, seeking help from police or families wasn’t possible. This feeling of isolation made them quite frightened. Now, with companions around, they obviously felt much better.

At least in case of emergencies, they could seek help.

Thinking about this, Little Sakura and Nanoha quickly picked up the personal terminals and wore them on their wrists. But Shisei looked at the personal terminal placed in front of her with a complicated expression, without speaking.

”Shisei?”

Noticing the anomaly in her friend, Little Sakura curiously looked at her, and Shisei lightly smiled somewhat bitterly.

”Little Sakura, I think... it might be better if I don’t tag along with you anymore.”

”Huh?”

At this, Little Sakura was stunned, while Shisei continued speaking.

”Just like yesterday... If it weren’t for Little Sakura protecting me, she wouldn’t have faced such danger. Honestly, I’ve always felt guilty... I originally thought it was like a fairy tale, but... yesterday, Little Sakura nearly lost her life because of me...”

At this point, Shisei lowered her head.

”So... I feel I shouldn’t continue fighting alongside Little Sakura. After all... I’d only be a hindrance...”

”It’s not like that, Shisei...”

Faced with Shisei’s words, Little Sakura was at a loss, unsure of what to say. But at this moment, Fang Zheng nodded.

”Indeed, given Shisei’s situation, it’s safer for her not to be on the battlefield.”

”Teacher?”

Upon hearing this, Little Sakura looked at Fang Zheng in surprise, but before she could speak further, Fang Zheng already continued.

”However... I have another task for you to complete, Shisei.”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Shisei lifted her head in surprise, looking at Fang Zheng.

”Teacher... has a task for me?”

”That’s correct.”

Facing Shisei, Fang Zheng smiled and spoke.

”As I mentioned, you’re not suited for fighting on the battlefield, but I hope you can be their support.”

”Su...port?”

”That’s right.”

Fang Zheng nodded, then snapped his fingers. Soon, Shisei saw several screens appear in the air, displaying various districts of Haiming City on her personal terminal.

”What is this...?”

”I’ve made some modifications to your personal terminal.”

Looking at Shisei, Fang Zheng continued.

”It allows you to monitor any area in Haiming City. If unusual magic power fluctuations occur, you’ll be alerted immediately. Then you can use these screens to observe the region’s magic outbreak and relay the situation to us. During battles, you can also scan the surroundings for enemy traps or ambushes. This requires meticulous patience and a calm mind, and I believe you’re suited for this role... What do you think?”

Listening to Fang Zheng’s description, Shisei’s eyes slowly brightened as she stared at the screens, then looking back at Fang Zheng.

”Teacher, may I use the personal terminal to film Little Sakura and her battles?”

”Of course, every battle must have recorded footage, which is another reason I chose you. Are you willing?”

”Absolutely!”

At this point, Shisei no longer hesitated, nodding strongly with a radiant smile.

”I am willing, teacher!”

”Great.”

Hearing Shisei’s answer, Fang Zheng stood up contentedly and clapped his hands.

”I hereby announce the establishment of the Far East Magic Research Club!”
