Chapter 1105: Chapter 1104: Let Them Witness the Power of Science

Due to the overwhelming force of the Chinese Federation and the sudden nature of their attack, coupled with the fact that the military forces of District 11 were scattered across various locations because of the operations against the resistance groups, they were unable to resist the attacks from the Chinese Federation.

Oh, of course, on the surface, this was still led by the so-called ”Japan Restoration Army,” but... it’s just a name, you can call it anything you like.

If you prefer, you can call them Army A or Army B.

Meanwhile, Fang Zheng successfully reunited with Asuna and others remaining in District 11.

”How have you all been during this time?”

Fang Zheng greeted the girls in front of him with a smile, and Eiriri replied cheerfully.

”Not bad, Mr. Fang Zheng, although it’s been a bit troublesome at times, with Natsuse and Tina helping us, it hasn’t been too troublesome.”

”That’s good.”

Upon hearing Eiriri’s response, Fang Zheng nodded his head.

”I also saw the things you’ve done; I heard that many resistance groups are quite dissatisfied with you.”

”Hmph, that’s their problem, not ours.”

Black Cat snorted coldly.

”We’re helping them out of kindness, not obligation. They won’t be able to order us around for another 180 years!”

”It’s good that you understand this point.”

Hearing Black Cat’s words, Fang Zheng smiled in satisfaction.

”Remember, we have great power, and surely there will be those who will try to utilize or even seize it upon witnessing it, so we must always remember our goals and not be swayed by a few words from others...”

At this point, Fang Zheng clapped his hands.

”Alright, let’s move together then, any questions?”

”Mr. Fang Zheng.”

However, at this moment, Asuna looked at him, hesitating slightly before asking.

”Will you... ensure those people’s safety?”

”Of course, just like I told you before, within the territories governed by the Chinese Federation, at least you don’t have to worry about them being discriminated against.”

Upon hearing Asuna’s question, Fang Zheng nodded. Before leaving, he had discussed his plan with Asuna and the others, and had assured them that after the Chinese Federation took over District 11, the residents here would have a better life than before. Fang Zheng was confident in this. The main conflict in District 11 stemmed from Britannia’s differential treatment of conquered area citizens versus its own citizens.

If Britannia were willing to change, there wouldn’t be anything for the Chinese Federation to do, but the problem is that treating defeated nation citizens differently is a basic national policy of Britannia. Once a precedent is set, similar situations would occur in other occupied areas, which might cause a complete collapse of Britannia’s overseas occupied areas.

In this situation, Britannia would certainly never change its policy willingly.

However, the Chinese Federation is different; they preach equality for everyone, at least they wouldn’t have such blatant identity discrimination like Britannia.

Of course, if it were in the past, even if Fang Zheng said as much, they would also employ a high-pressure policy. But now, with Britannia as the ’pig teammate,’ as long as they did a better job than Britannia, it wouldn’t be an issue. In reality, the Chinese Federation doesn’t control their occupied territories as strictly as Britannia does, and they wouldn’t strip the other of their placenames and ethnic identities either...

For the people of District 11 now, this alone is enough for them to feel grateful. If they were treated a bit better, they might directly kneel down in gratitude.

So, it’s all about comparisons...

”Next, we’re planning to take action against the Tokyo Concession, right.”

Speaking of this, Eiriri also showed a ready stance, with others nodding in agreement. Although they’ve been fighting against the Britannian Army this entire time, their main goal was helping the besieged residents of District 11 evacuate, so they haven’t really launched any counterattacks.

But everyone gets angry at some point, especially since they were assisting civilians with every evacuation, which meant that Britannia was killing civilians brutally, which naturally appalled the girls. They’ve held back until now, and they’ve finally found a chance to strike back!

”Indeed, this time I’ll personally lead you to attack the Tokyo Concession.”

At Eiriri’s query, Fang Zheng nodded. Their army had already occupied half of Japan, but the Tokyo Concession was still firmly in Britannian hands. Fang Zheng could see through their intentions, which were to hold onto the fortress and wait for reinforcements from their homeland.

In this case, the sooner they capture the Tokyo Fortress, the sooner they’d be able to reclaim all of Japan.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng firmly waved his hand.

”Let’s go! Let them witness the power of science!”

Within the Tokyo Concession, the atmosphere was equally tense.

The Restoration Army had launched two consecutive attacks on the Concession, but they were repelled by the army led by Cornelia, the two sides stalemating at the borders.

”Finally, they backed off!”

Watching the mecha legion retreating outside the Concession, General Bartley couldn’t help but exclaim. He stood proudly at the command post, and his originally tense face relaxed considerably. Just at this moment, the door opened, and Cornelia entered with her subordinates.

”How are the circumstances?”

Seeing Cornelia’s arrival, General Bartley quickly turned and respectfully saluted her.

”Report, Your Highness, the enemy’s attack has once again been repelled by us, and they have chosen to retreat for now. Considering their casualties, they are unlikely to launch a third attack anytime soon.”

While speaking, General Bartley glanced behind Cornelia.

”Thanks to the support of Her Highness Cornelia and the two Knights of the Round Table.”

”Oh, please don’t say that, being a Knight of the Round Table means fighting for the Empire is our duty.”

Upon General Bartley’s words, a man with short golden hair, an attractive face, and clad in a green cloak standing behind Cornelia replied with a jovial tone. He was none other than Gino Bainberuk, one of the eleven illustrious Knights of the Round Table of the Britannian Empire.

”Isn’t that right?”

While speaking, Gino turned to his companion, a girl with pink ponytails appearing about fourteen or fifteen years old, wearing a pink cloak, and asked her. In response to Gino’s question, the pink-ponytailed girl merely nodded slightly without speaking and continued focusing on the data on her handheld device.

She was also one of the Knights of the Round Table, Anya Arstolem.

Though she looked young, the Nightmare Mechas driven by these two Knights of the Round Table were extraordinarily powerful, with the two also possessing exceptional skills. It was under the protection of these two Knights of the Round Table that the Restoration Army’s attacks were repeatedly thwarted.

”Stop lowering your guard!”

However, Cornelia’s expression remained quite serious.

”The enemy is currently reorganizing; no one knows what actions they might take next. We must hold our ground until reinforcements from the home country arrive...”

”Report!”

However, just as Cornelia was speaking, a voice suddenly broke in.

”The left wing has been attacked! No, we’ve lost contact!”

”What?”

Upon hearing this, Cornelia’s eyes narrowed sharply.

”Immediately pull up the left wing’s footage!”

”Yes!”

Quickly, the screen flickered, and the next second the left wing’s view appeared before them. But what no one expected was that the Nightmare Mechas stationed on the left wing had become nothing more than scattered remnants of scrap metal. In front of this wreckage stood a knight clad in armor and wielding a Greatsword.

By his side were three figures of cloaked girls. These figures were not unfamiliar to Cornelia, as she had recently witnessed their might on the footage.

Seeing this, Cornelia’s eyebrows instantly lifted.

”It’s them!?”
