Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

With the capture of the Tokyo Concession, the Restoration Army ”led” by Zeqidun finally achieved ultimate victory. Immediately afterwards, this former Japanese cabinet official eagerly launched a global broadcast, declaring that starting today, Area 11 would be reestablished as an independent nation. At the same time, he also announced that starting today, Japan would formally join the Chinese Federation as one of its members.

In the past, Zeqidun’s speech would have undoubtedly provoked the citizens to curse. However, now, after seven years of oppressive Britannian rule, they have finally realized that relying solely on their own strength is simply not enough to contend with an empire like Britannia.

Without the support of the Chinese Federation, even if they declared independence, they might soon be reoccupied by Britannia.

Under these circumstances, although many people felt somewhat dissatisfied internally, they resigned themselves to becoming part of the Chinese Federation as a fact, with many even excitedly celebrating. After all, at least the Chinese Federation wouldn’t strip them of their national name, wouldn’t label them as ”Area 11 people”, and wouldn’t discriminate against them. For the citizens at present, this was enough.

The events on this island have also captured the world’s attention, and now everyone is waiting to see how the Britannian Empire will respond. If the Britannian Empire were to simply continue the fight, it would mean a full-scale war against the Chinese Federation. However... would they dare to do so?

Fang Zheng is not worried about it at all.

”Then, continue to blockade the coasts and ports. Don’t let anyone in or out. If Britannia dares to look for trouble, don’t report it; just attack directly on my command.”

”Yes, Your Highness!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s order, General Cao saluted respectfully and turned to leave.

For Fang Zheng, this battle was not simply about reclaiming the island nation. On the contrary, his performance on the battlefield, along with the appearance of the Divine Dragon, was almost legendary for the Chinese Federation. Many within the Chinese Federation now regarded Fang Zheng as the Federation’s Protector, treating him with utmost respect. If Fang Zheng wanted to become Emperor, there might be less than one in ten thousand who would oppose him now.

In fact, even His Majesty himself was...

”Imperial Brother, do you really not want it?”

”Of course not, Your Majesty, this is your duty.”

Looking at His Majesty’s cute little face on the communication screen, Fang Zheng smiled bitterly. He had no interest in becoming Emperor and didn’t want to be His Majesty. The current ruler might be a bit inexperienced, but she had potential. Even if she offered to abdicate, Fang Zheng wouldn’t accept it.

”Alright, don’t worry about things that don’t matter. You have many things to do, don’t you? Just do what you can.”

”Okay, Imperial Brother. Um... when will you come back?”

”In a while, at least wait until the matter with Britannia is settled.”

After a few casual words with His Majesty, Fang Zheng closed the communication and once again issued orders to the others.

After the Tokyo Concession was occupied, the Britannian Army naturally had no choice but to surrender, especially since both Cornelia and Clovis had been captured by Fang Zheng. If they didn’t surrender, what else could they do?

After the surrender, Fang Zheng placed these soldiers in a prisoner-of-war camp. As for the princes and princesses, they were temporarily kept under house arrest in the Governor’s Office and not allowed to leave. Fang Zheng wasn’t worried about them causing trouble, or rather, he was eager for them to try, so he could crush them with ease.

”Ah, Mr. Fang Zheng!”

At this moment, the door suddenly opened, and Eiriri ran in, greeting Fang Zheng.

”What’s up, Eiriri? Is something the matter?”

Hearing Eiriri’s greeting, Fang Zheng turned his head to look at her, and Eiriri nodded.

”Yes, someone wants Mr. Fang Zheng to take a look.”

”Oh?”

Led by Eiriri, Fang Zheng arrived at the reception room of the Governor’s Office, where he saw a girl with long brown hair sitting in a wheelchair.

”Is it her?”

”Yes.”

Facing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Eiriri nodded.

”This child is named Nanali. She’s quite pitiable. I heard she lost her legs due to an accident when she was young, and she also closed her eyes, unable to see anymore. I thought we could help her... I tried using medical gel, but it wasn’t very effective.”

If Fang Zheng’s Heavenly Dao Palace gained anything valuable in the Mass Effect world, medical gel was one of them. This versatile medical gel, which could effectively heal internal and external injuries in a short time in the Mass Effect world, was a significant supplement for the Heavenly Dao Palace.

One must know that the biggest shortcoming of the Heavenly Dao Palace was the residents’ own limitations, which made their medical and healing capabilities immature. After all, most Cursed Children could rely on their own healing abilities when injured, Fleet Girls could perform rapid repairs, and the Swarm could roll on the Fungal Carpet. Spirits like Kurumi and Yoshino, as well as Heroic Spirits like Illya and Little Hei, never got sick, and if injured, they just needed magic power to recover.

So, on many occasions, aside from Heroic Spirits like Illya, who can ”randomly” gain healing skills, others had few options when it came to saving people. However, medical gel could solve this problem; it could perfectly heal external injuries and even had some healing effects on physical ailments. One could say that as long as you weren’t dead, a shot of medical gel could at least save half your life.

For this reason, Fang Zheng made medical gel a standard part of the Heavenly Dao Palace’s personal terminals – at least it could be used in life-saving situations.

”Hello...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s voice, Nanali appeared somewhat nervous. She clutched her skirt tightly and nodded slightly towards Fang Zheng, who nodded in return.

”Hello, hmm... let me take a look...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng examined the girl’s legs.

”Chronic injury, probably many years old, medical gel is not very effective for such injuries...”

”Is there no way to treat it?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Eiriri asked anxiously, and Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders.

”The Swarm’s genetic modification might work, but you know...”

”...”

Hearing this, Eiriri silently closed her mouth.

Yes, she certainly knew...

”As for the eyes... hmm?”

As Fang Zheng spoke, he carefully examined Nanali’s eyes, then he frowned.

”This is...”

”It seems to be a curse, right? Black Cat said the same, so I brought her to Mr. Fang Zheng for a look.”

”Yes, it’s indeed a kind of curse.”

Fang Zheng could see that the reason this girl named Nanali kept her eyes closed was not due to any illness, but because a mysterious force had bound her will. Simply put, it was as if someone used some enchantment spell to control Nanali’s subconscious, forcing her to keep her eyes closed. Yet, she had no knowledge of this.

This world still has such powers?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but be somewhat surprised.

He thought this world believed in science.

”Is there a way to solve it?”

”Leave it to me.”

Although not well-versed in the Enchantment School, Fang Zheng was quite confident in dealing with magic of this level. He stretched out his hand, swiftly drawing runes in the air, then pointed forward. A burst of magic radiance suddenly shot out from Fang Zheng’s hand, striking the brown-haired girl.

High-Level Dispel Magic!

The magic radiance shimmered briefly on the girl’s body, then quietly disappeared. At the same time, Fang Zheng saw a strange rune twist and emerge from her forehead, shattering apart.

”You can open your eyes now.”

”......…”

Hearing this, the girl felt a bit uneasy but still nodded slowly. Then she opened her eyes bit by bit. She stared at her hands blankly, then raised her head, looking around.

”I, I can open my eyes? I can see?”

”That’s great!”

Seeing Nanali open her eyes, Eiriri immediately jumped up with joy.

”Congratulations, Nanali, see, I was right! With Mr. Fang Zheng’s help, guaranteed to be cured instantly!”

”Ah... yes!”

At this, Nanali looked at Fang Zheng again and bowed her head.

”Thank you, Lord Fang Zheng.”

”No need to thank me, it was a small matter.”

Facing Nanali’s gratitude, Fang Zheng waved his hand. However, at this moment, a soldier from the Chinese Federation walked into the reception room and approached Fang Zheng.

”Your Highness, there is official communication from Britannia.”

”Oh?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow and then nodded to Nanali.

”Well, I have something to attend to and will leave first. Eiriri, you can escort her back.”

”Okay.”

Eiriri obediently responded, then pushed Nanali’s wheelchair and took her out of the reception room.

”See, I told you? Your Britannian doctors couldn’t do it because they weren’t skilled enough; Mr. Fang Zheng resolved it with ease.”

”Yes... Thank you very much, Miss Eiriri, and Lord Fang Zheng...”

Nanali also smiled and thanked Eiriri, then suddenly thought of something and looked hesitantly at Eiriri.

”Um... Miss Eiriri, there’s one more thing I’d like to ask you to do...”

”Hmm? What’s the matter?”

”It’s about my brother...”

At this, Nanali clasped her hands nervously in front of her chest.

”He hasn’t come back for a long time, and I don’t know where he went. He might even be... Could you help look for him? He’s not at the academy, and I’m really worried...”

”Your brother?”

Hearing Nanali’s request, Eiriri thought for a moment, then nodded.

”That’s certainly no problem, leave it to me.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng had already entered the meeting room. On the screen before him appeared a handsome, blonde man.

Of course, not as handsome as Fang Zheng.

”Hello, Your Highness Fang Zheng.”

Seeing Fang Zheng appear, the blonde man smiled and greeted him.

”I am Shunazer E.I. Britannia, Prime Minister of Britannia. Nice to meet you.”

”I am Fang Zheng.”

Responding to Shunazer’s greeting, Fang Zheng gave a slight nod, reluctantly returning the greeting. He never felt any goodwill towards handsome men.

”May I ask what business the Second Prince has with me? Are you planning to declare war on the Chinese Federation on behalf of Britannia?”

”Not at all.”

In response to Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Shunazer shook his head.

”In fact, I am here to represent the Britannian Empire in proposing a political alliance through marriage with the Chinese Federation.”

”... Marriage?”

”That’s right.”

Facing Fang Zheng’s question, Shunazer smiled slightly.

”To demonstrate the goodwill of Britannia, we are willing to offer Euphemia L.I. Britannia as a wife to Your Highness Fang Zheng. What do you think?”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, before Fang Zheng could speak, Asuna and Black Cat, standing behind him, widened their eyes, flames of anger shooting from them.

This pretty boy, is he trying to stir up trouble?!
