Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1114: Chapter 1113: The Situation Seems to Be Getting a Bit Complicated

Jupiter Orbit.

The Reapers still hovered there silently, unmoved. And those silver-white alien creatures were the same, gradually, it seemed as though they were creating some kind of connection between them. Gradually, those silver-white things merged, turning into one gigantic... Reaper after another.

”It’s actually turning out like this?”

Receiving the feedback from the Swarm, Fang Zheng frowned immediately. He had not anticipated that this little trouble couldn’t be resolved even now.

”What about Black Katie?”

”Miss Black Katie tried, but... the opponent’s psychic attack is somewhat difficult for her to handle...”

According to Iona, those silver-white alien creatures would transmit a type of information wave fluctuation to the target frantically upon encountering them. The more powerful the person, the more information they receive. Even Black Katie was unable to instantly process such a massive information exchange, so ultimately, she had no choice but to withdraw.

In fact, these silver-white creatures themselves aren’t really hard to deal with, but the issue is that they emit a torrential flood of information to attack and communicate. It’s somewhat similar to a DDoS network attack, to put it bluntly, it’s not about technical brilliance but about overwhelming you with quantity.

But you have no choice but to face it head-on to block and eliminate them.

”Let me try with the Swarm then.”

The Mind Model network isn’t enough to resist this level of information assault; Fang Zheng now could only consider trying with the Swarm.

He closed his eyes and, in a blink, connected to the Swarm far off on Mars. Then, Fang Zheng rapidly mobilized several million Explosive Mosquitoes, opened a wormhole, and instantly teleported all the Explosive Mosquitoes outside the Jupiter Orbit. Then, by Fang Zheng’s command, countless Explosive Mosquitoes surged forward like a flood released by the gates, charging towards the Reapers and those silver-white creatures on the Jupiter Orbit.

”—————!!”

Seeing the Swarm appear, the silver-white creatures immediately reacted as well. Quickly, countless silver-white creatures rapidly fused, turning into one gigantic Reaper after another, then lunged towards the approaching Explosive Mosquitoes.

”Ugh.........”

Feeling the overwhelming flood of information, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but frown. As the Swarm Overlord, he held the core of the entire Swarm’s Psychic Network. Ideally, no regular psychic attack could affect Fang Zheng at all. Yet, in the moment of contact with these creatures, even he felt somewhat unable to withstand it.

This sensation was like standing in the middle of a noisy marketplace, with someone yelling ”Green vegetables two dimes a pound, pork for cheap!” in your left ear, old ladies’ square dance music blasting on your right, a pile driver pounding ”boom boom boom” in front, and explosive gunfire and grenade blasts akin to a cop-and-robber movie going off behind you. And on top of that, you’re wearing headphones with the music cranked to the max.

All kinds of noises but none that you can make sense of.

Luckily, Fang Zheng was the Swarm Overlord, which allowed him to barely withstand this wave of psychic assault. Otherwise, it was hard to tell how anyone else would have fared.

Now he understood why Black Katie couldn’t withstand it.

”Attack!”

At this point, Fang Zheng had no better option but to reluctantly give the command to the Swarm. Soon, the Explosive Mosquitoes charged into the alien creatures, followed by a succession of flashes and explosions spreading forth in waves.

Against this enemy that would merge with anything it came into contact with, Fang Zheng currently had no better plan. He realized that these monsters not only merged with everything they came into contact with, but they could also analyze and mimic them. This was evident from the Reapers in front of him.

It’s important to know that these silver-white alien creatures initially acted like reckless idiots, but now they could even use the light beam attacks of Reapers and Reaper drones!

He mustn’t give them the opportunity to merge with the Swarm!

Fortunately, these creatures seemed only able to merge with complete entities. Once blown to bits, they had little interest in merging. Therefore, Fang Zheng brought a swarm of Explosive Mosquitoes to test the situation.

If the venue had allowed, he would have thrown in a bunch of Toxic Bombs to let these creatures experience what Swarm Spirit was all about.

While the Explosive Mosquitoes were ”achieving glory” with the opponent, Fang Zheng also used his Swarm Psychic Network for a round of deep communication with these creatures in front of him. Unfortunately, it seemed as though they had no concept of communication. Every time Fang Zheng expressed intentions to communicate, they would charge at him frantically as if seeing an opening.

This reminded Fang Zheng of buying tickets as a child, where upon the ticket booth opening, people would crowd in without any sense of order, waving their money, desperate to buy tickets, yet no one could get any...

In the end, even after the last Explosive Mosquito exploded, Fang Zheng couldn’t successfully establish a connection with these alien creatures.

”Really troublesome.”

Withdrawing from the Swarm Network, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but press his hand against his forehead and pinched a bit. This won’t do, these alien creatures seem incapable of establishing communication, but to fight them, his current manpower is insufficient. If he had known this, he would have brought only one Ark... well, he couldn’t have brought an Ark in anyway.

If he could, he would have directly blown up Jupiter along with these alien creatures, solving it once and for all.

Of course, even now Fang Zheng wasn’t without a last resort, which was to unleash Primordial Fire and burn everything clean. However, the range of Primordial Fire was somewhat difficult to control, and it might end up burning half the Solar System... so for Fang Zheng, this was truly a last resort, to be avoided if possible.

Explosive Mosquitoes, while effective, weren’t sufficient at present. Should he let the Swarm focus on producing Explosive Mosquitoes, or could Leviathan be refitted into a massive Explosive Mosquito?

Considering all kinds of plans, Fang Zheng returned to his room, yet when Fang Zheng opened the door and entered, the scene before him left him dumbfounded.

In Fang Zheng’s room stood a blonde girl, dressed like a maid and appearing sixteen or seventeen years old, gazing at him with a shy expression. Upon seeing Fang Zheng return, the girl gave a gentle smile and walked over to him, extending her hand.

”Brother Zheng, you’re back......”

”Ah, oh......”

Looking at the maid with waist-length golden hair in front of him, Fang Zheng nodded in confusion. He stared at the maid, feeling that her face seemed somewhat familiar, though he couldn’t recall where he had seen her before.

”May I ask if Brother Zheng wants to shower first or have dinner first?”

”Then... I’ll take a shower first.”

Faced with the maid’s inquiry, Fang Zheng thought carefully but still found no answer. He was certain he knew this girl. Her voice and appearance were very familiar, yet Fang Zheng just couldn’t remember who she was.

Still, he answered her and made his choice. After the awkward conversation with those alien creatures, Fang Zheng himself felt a headache coming on.

”Alright, the hot water is ready, Brother Zheng, please shower.”

”Ah, umm......”

Nodding absentmindedly, Fang Zheng watched the blonde girl take his coat and turn to leave the room, scratching his head in confusion, before heading into the changing room. But just as Fang Zheng undressed and walked into the bathroom, he was startled to find that someone else was already there.

A girl about sixteen years old, with long silver-white hair and a comely physique, was half-sitting in the room wearing only a bath towel, outlining the graceful shape of her chest and cleavage. Seeing Fang Zheng enter, the silver-haired girl’s face turned crimson as she lowered her head.

”B-Brother Zheng...... please let me...... wash your back......”

”......Midori?”

Watching the adorable cat ears on the girl’s head, Fang Zheng hesitated a moment before uncertainly asking. After all, in Fang Zheng’s memory, the only acquaintance with silver hair and cat ears was this little girl!

But......

”What is this......”

Seeing the girl before him, who appeared several years older than her actual age, Fang Zheng was full of questions and bewilderment.

What on earth is this all about?
