Chapter 1123: Chapter 1122: Mantis Shrimp, Let’s Go!

”All Mecha units, immediately distance yourselves from those strange white objects and destroy them completely. Do not let them get close!!”

If it were just a simple fusion, the pilots wouldn’t care, but after merging, these eerie white objects could actually mimic the fused machines, and that’s terrifying!

You have to understand, many of those participating in the United Army had previously faced off against the Reapers in the Earth-Moon defensive war. Compared to the Federation’s standard mass-produced units, they are naturally more formidable. If these bizarre things on the opposing side were to touch and then mass produce, how would anyone survive?

For the United Army, the situation immediately became dire.

Previously, their MS’s main task was to block the Reaper’s drones, while the Reapers were dealt with by the main warships. But with this mess happening now, their goal immediately shifted to getting away from those strange silver objects.

Not only that......

”Ugh...... what’s this noise......!”

With one hand gripping the control stick, Amuro reached out to press his forehead, gritting his teeth. Just now, he sensed a powerful noise emerging in his mind, as if countless people were speaking near his ear, making Amuro increasingly uncomfortable.

”What is this noise...... it’s so distressing, I can barely stand it......!”

While gritting his teeth to endure forcibly, Lamlo swiftly maneuvered the MS to crush the enemy before him, then quickly opened communications.

”This is Amuro, calling the White Base, requesting to withdraw from the front line!”

Meanwhile, at the flagship, Fang Zheng also received reports from the front.

”Amuro requests temporary withdrawal from the front line!”

”Captain Natsuka requests to withdraw from the front line!”

”Jedo requests to withdraw from the front line!”

For a moment, numerous reports of withdrawal requests were all passed on to the flagship, and without exception, all those requesting withdrawal were elites and aces from various fleets! Among them were New Humanity and Coordinators. Their symptoms were quite similar, all were compelled to withdraw due to unbearable noise.

As the situation turned and aces withdrew one by one from the front line, the situation clearly became more severe. But fortunately, a few people were still holding on with grit.

”—————!!”

The pink VF cut through space like a falcon, behind it, tens of thousands of silver-white objects formed a thick tentacle, relentlessly trying to capture this agile and petite prey. Yet that pink VF, with angles almost unimaginable to ordinary people, nimbly dodged the alien attack. Then, the green GN particles on its body burst and scattered instantly, followed by dozens of scattered warheads launched from the rear of the machine, diving into the crowd of alien life.

A series of explosions immediately engulfed countless alien condensates, and simultaneously, the pink VF took the opportunity to turn around and launch a new round of attacks against the Reaper’s drones.

”Looks like our VF is performing quite well.”

Watching the aircraft on screen spread fire of destruction among the alien life, Fang Zheng shook his head with a wry smile. He certainly knew who was piloting this VF. Ironically, the most noticeable performers on the battlefield at this moment were all once his enemies.

For example, piloting this pink VF was Anya, a Knight of the Round Table from the Britannian Empire who had previously fought the Chinese Federation, and the other even more outstanding performer was Cornelia, whom Fang Zheng had personally captured.

They were only ordinary humans, without any genetic adjustments, not NT, nor innovators. But precisely because of this, they were completely unaffected by the information torrents from those strange alien life forms.

It seems sometimes being too advanced isn’t necessarily good, being ordinary is often worthwhile.

Although Anya and Cornelia were fighting hard, and indeed the VF fighters under their control were demonstrating considerable value and capability, obviously one or two individuals alone couldn’t change the battle situation.

In fact, even with collective efforts to block, the Reapers formed by those alien life forms pressed on without halting and continued advancing.

Fang Zheng’s plan was also unfeasible.

But fortunately...... he was prepared for this.

Watching the flashing lights on the screen, Fang Zheng squinted, then reached his hand, lightly tapped his personal terminal.

Almost at once, the crew at the front screamed.

”High-energy reactions detected at four o’clock direction, it’s...... that mysterious fleet is here! That mysterious fleet has finally arrived!!”

Accompanied by the screams and cheers of the crew, dozens of streams of Radiance appeared like meteors, and in the next moment, the Azure Fleet led by Iona reappeared before everyone, then swiftly launched an attack on the gigantic Reapers.

Gigantic light beams whistled out, easily penetrating, exploding, and destroying the vast forms of the Reapers.

With the arrival of the Azure Fleet, the Reapers’ offensive was finally suppressed again, and with reinforcement, the United Army’s morale was lifted, they once again engaged in clearing the enemy’s drones and those strange silver-white objects.

The coordination was seamless, the Azure Fleet mainly focused on those massive Reapers, while those silver alien condensates and Reaper drones were blocked and eliminated by MS and VF. For a moment, the advantage on the battlefield began to tilt again.

”Prepare to launch.”

Fang Zheng observed the battlefield for a while, then swiftly issued an order. Hearing Fang Zheng’s command, the crew was momentarily stunned.

”Your Highness, currently......”

”Now is the best time, once those guys react, they’ll be harder to deal with! Inform all warships to open fire, create a path, then proceed to the final launch!”

”Yes!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s command, the crew immediately snapped to attention and began to coordinate.

”Everyone, attention, prepare to enter Second Phase, prepare for Mantis Shrimp launch, I repeat, prepare for Mantis Shrimp launch, begin clearing!”

Listening to the reports, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction, then turned and left the command room. In the next moment, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and appeared in a narrow control room — essentially the interior of the large rocket.

”Can’t believe, I still have the chance to play as a kamikaze squad.”

Fang Zheng mumbled, then opened his personal terminal, connecting to the Mantis Shrimp rocket’s control device. Soon, urgent warning sounds rang in his ears.

”Area cleared, Mantis Shrimp ready to launch, five, four, three, two, one...... launch!”

”—————!!”

With that sound, Fang Zheng felt the rocket violently jolt, then roar onwards, headed towards the center of those alien life forms!

”Mantis Shrimp, let’s go!”

Fang Zheng shouted while gripping the controls tightly. Under his control, the rocket quickly traversed the cleared battlefield, racing towards the center!
