Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The purple mecha wobbled as it landed on the deck and ceased motion after emitting a sound similar to a moan.

The hatch opened, and Cornelia jumped out with a serious expression.

”Immediately replace the energy pack! Conduct a comprehensive repair on the body!”

”Yes!!”

Upon hearing Cornelia’s order, the staff rushed forward and immediately began their work. Meanwhile, Cornelia frowned tightly and quickly walked inside the warship.

”Do you know what that actually is, Count Lloyd?”

As she entered the warship’s command center, Cornelia’s first question addressed this issue. She had abandoned the Governor’s Office, but that did not mean she lacked a command center. In fact, the warship ”Avalon” served as Cornelia’s command center, and since the battle started, she had evacuated all personnel there.

This was also why Cornelia could readily abandon the Governor’s Office to Fang Zheng, as there was nothing important there. Even if the opponent captured the Governor’s Office, it wouldn’t end the war. Conversely, with this aerial warship equipped with an ”Absolute Defense Barrier,” she could conduct operations anytime and anywhere.

Initially, in Cornelia’s view, even if the opponent held a superior position on the ground, they couldn’t threaten this aerial warship. The Chinese Federation couldn’t overtly dispatch aerial support, but now it seemed... she was clearly mistaken.

”Oh, Your Highness Cornelia...”

Upon hearing Cornelia’s inquiry, a man wearing glasses and a white lab coat turned around with a wry smile.

”I don’t quite understand these supernatural things, but from the surface, it should be a dragon, right?”

”A dragon?”

Upon hearing Count Lloyd’s answer, Cornelia raised an eyebrow.

”Are you saying the kind that breathes fire...”

”That’s from our side’s fairy tales, but the legends from the Chinese Federation seem a bit different. They regard this kind of dragon as a form of divine spirit, capable of riding clouds and fog, controlling thunder and lightning... Hmm, as it appears now, this isn’t merely a legendary story.”

”Then, are you suggesting this thing is a weapon of the Chinese Federation?”

Upon hearing this, Cornelia’s expression immediately turned serious.

”Can we accuse the Chinese Federation of invading our territory for this?”

”That’s impossible, Your Highness.”

Count Lloyd spread his hands helplessly and shrugged.

”I said, according to logic, such a creature should only exist in myth and legend. Even if it did exist, we couldn’t definitively say it’s a weapon of the Chinese Federation. Moreover, it’s the Chinese Federation’s god of faith. If we did something to it, it would give the Chinese Federation a legitimate reason to intervene, wouldn’t it? Not to mention...”

As he spoke, Count Lloyd once again looked at the screen before him.

”As it stands, there’s nothing we can do.”

As Count Lloyd stated, at this moment, on the screen, the Imperial Guard tasked with holding back the Divine Dragon had almost been utterly defeated.

They had never fought an enemy capable of moving so nimbly in the sky, to the extent that when faced with such an existence, they didn’t even know what to do.

Missiles were preemptively detonated by Fang Zheng using lightning, and simple bullets had no effect on the enemy. As for engaging in melee combat...

”Haaaahhh!!!”

A Knight piloted a mecha and raised the longsword in his hand, aiming to stab at the Divine Dragon’s abdomen. However, just as he made his thrust, he saw the Divine Dragon extend a forepaw to grasp him. In the next moment, the entire mecha was torn apart like a collectible model dismantled by a mischievous child during the holidays, fragmented and ripping as it spun and fell downward.

At the same time, the Divine Dragon swung its tail, sending another mecha attempting to ambush from behind flying.

”...…!”

Watching the sorry state of her subordinates being utterly routed on the screen, Cornelia clenched her fists tightly.

”Your Highness, we should retreat.”

Dr. Lloyd turned his head, suggesting to Cornelia.

”The opponent’s situation is unclear, and engaging such an unknown enemy in these circumstances is highly dangerous. I suggest we temporarily retreat and devise another plan.”

”...”

Faced with Count Lloyd’s proposal, Cornelia fell into contemplation.

However, at this moment, the situation changed once more.

”Bang!!”

The Divine Dragon tore another mecha into fragments. Meanwhile, standing on its head, Fang Zheng glanced into the distance. Although they had destroyed many mechas, these Britannians clearly wouldn’t give up. In fact, they continued to converge, attempting to use their flesh and blood to block Fang Zheng.

”For the Empire! For Her Highness Cornelia!”

Shouting slogans at the top of their lungs, the Britannian Knights launched a near-suicidal attack against Fang Zheng and the Divine Dragon. However, to Fang Zheng, this level of assault was naturally impossible to harm him. But it was quite annoying, like mosquitoes buzzing in your ear—ignoring them was annoying, but paying attention to them... would be a waste of time.

In that case.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng’s eyes narrowed slightly, then he reached out and placed his hand on the Divine Dragon’s head.

Immediately, both he and the Divine Dragon disappeared without a trace in an instant, vanishing into thin air.

”What’s happening?”

Seeing the target on the screen suddenly disappear, Cornelia instinctively felt something was wrong. However, in the next moment, the entire warship suddenly seemed to collide with something, diving down sharply, followed by the piercing sound of alarms blaring loudly.

”What’s happening? What happened?”

Knocked to the ground by the sudden jolt, Cornelia quickly turned and got up, loudly asking for an explanation. Hearing her inquiry, the operators, who were also thrown off balance, hurriedly returned to their stations and began investigating.

”An unidentified object has landed on the top of the warship. It’s......”

Soon, the image shifted to the top of the warship, where they were shocked to see the Divine Dragon, which had shown its divine might on the battlefield before, now coiled on top of the warship, coldly glaring at the panicked soldiers and crew below.

”What’s going on? How did it suddenly appear here? How was this done?”

Seeing this scene, Count Lloyd immediately screamed.

”The radar showed no abnormalities. How did it bypass our detection and defenses to appear here? What on earth is...…”

”Now is not the time for this discussion!”

Cornelia coldly interrupted Count Lloyd’s questioning, then placed her hand on the hilt of her longsword, for at this moment, she could see on the screen that the knight in silver armor was leaping from the back of the Divine Dragon, launching an attack on the enemies on the deck.

”All soldiers, intercept the intruder immediately and eliminate it!! Prepare my Mecha!”

She shouted loudly as she quickly ran towards the hangar.

Meanwhile, on the deck, a completely asymmetrical battle was unfolding.

One side was the soldiers of the Britannian Empire, fully armed and well-equipped. On the other side was a warrior dressed like a medieval knight, holding one black and one white blade, one long and one short, charging at the soldiers armed with automatic rifles and heavy weaponry.

From a purely theoretical perspective, it should have been the victory of the Britannian soldiers, but reality was quite the opposite.

”Fire! Fire!!”

With the shouting, hundreds of automatic rifles roared to life, raining bullets down on the knight. Yet facing the incoming hail of bullets, the knight in silver armor showed no fear. He dashed forward like a gust of wind, weaving through the gaps in the bullet storm. In just a blink, he was upon the soldiers, the pitch black greatsword tracing a perfect arc in the air as it slashed down powerfully against them.

”Boom!!”

”Uwah!!”

With the sword qi scattering in all directions, dozens of soldiers screamed as they were blown away, while Fang Zheng continued forward, sprinting into the interior of the warship.

”The enemy is charging into the emergency passage!”

”Attack, attack!”

Though the Britannian soldiers desperately tried to stop the intruder, their resistance was meaningless in the face of Fang Zheng. He moved like a ferocious beast, sweeping all enemies aside as he advanced straight towards his goal.

”Boom!!”

The thick armored door was easily sliced open by Fang Zheng’s sword, and the next moment he saw, in the hangar ahead, a purple Mecha standing as a woman prepared to enter its cockpit.

”———!”

Seeing Fang Zheng’s appearance, the woman visibly showed a startled expression. She took a quick step forward, trying to climb into the cockpit. But just then, Fang Zheng stepped forward, and his pitch black greatsword swung down without hesitation.

”Swish!!”

The unstoppable sword qi instantly split the hard floor in two, and the cockpit of the purple Mecha was also sliced in two by this blow. Seeing this, the woman with purple hair changed her expression slightly. She quickly jumped back, drawing the longsword from her hip, but before she could lift it, Fang Zheng was already in front of her.

”Clang!!!”

The sharp blade spun into the air and then fell to the ground. At the same time, the pitch black blade was already pressed against the purple-haired woman’s neck.

Fang Zheng coldly stared at the woman who was leaning against the wall and spoke.

”Checkmate, Cornelia L.I. Britannia.”
