Chapter 1143: Chapter 1142: Fang Zheng, Magical Girls, and the Mutation

Getting familiar with the Kinomoto family wasn’t difficult, after all, that family was indeed very nice, and not to mention Illya and Little Hei were both lively and adorable children with similar ages to everyone else. Therefore, it didn’t take long for them to become good friends.

Meanwhile, Fang Zheng also took the two little girls into Private Seishou University Elementary School, where he was in charge as the homeroom teacher for Class Three, Grade One, with Illya and Little Hei as students. In Fang Zheng’s class, he also met the long-admired legendary existence—Nanoha Takamachi.

Incidentally, Nanoha Takamachi was in Grade Three, Sakura Kinomoto was in Grade Four, and Illya and Little Hei were in Grade Five... Well, seeing these names, it’s needless to say that Fang Zheng already knew what kind of world this is.

This was obviously the magical girl’s world.

However, what baffled Fang Zheng was, what does the magical girl have to do with souls? He had watched both iconic magical girl series, and there was nothing related to souls in them. Moreover, to be honest, in Fang Zheng’s opinion, while the power ranks in the magical girl’s world were not low, the plot was actually super simple due to it being ”child-oriented.”

For instance, Sakura Kinomoto’s task was to collect the scattered Clow Cards, and in the second season, she converted them into Sakura Brand. Nanoha Takamachi’s task was to collect the Seed of Holy Stone, and in the second season, she fought against the Book of Night Sky.

Frankly, the storyline of these two shows is very clear-cut and follows the orthodox path of magical girl series, having no connection to conspiracy or black history. Though in Nanoha’s third season, there was some brain-teasing plot, but... that would be over ten years later!

I can’t possibly stay in this world for more than a decade, right?

Upon taking office, Fang Zheng secretly investigated both individuals, finding that their storylines were currently just unfolding. For instance, Little Sakura has only collected seven Clow Cards so far, and Nanoha’s ”progress” was even slower. Just before Fang Zheng and his group time traveled here, she had just adopted that shameless snow mongoose, and had only collected two Seeds of Holy Stone.

So, what exactly am I here for in this world?

Upon figuring out the situation, Fang Zheng was quite puzzled, as these two representatives of the magical girl series faced only traditional and straightforward ”plot” events. Sure, one might find it odd that the two were in the same world, but it wasn’t entirely unthinkable.

But aside from that... it seems there’s nothing worth intervening in, right?

Neither Nanoha nor Little Sakura, the enemies they currently face all appear normal, don’t they?

Or could it be... is there some hidden problem within this world?

Though he had doubts in his heart, Fang Zheng wasn’t anxious, as he believed the truth would be revealed before long.

”Rumble——!!”

Thunder roared through the sky, while Fang Zheng sat by the window, observing the pitch black night outside.

”Master, why have you called us?”

At this point, Illya and Little Hei came downstairs from the second floor and entered the living room, curiously looking at Fang Zheng. Faced with Illya’s inquiry, Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

”Come over, I have something interesting to show you.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and his personal terminal quickly activated, projecting an image. Seeing the image, both Illya and Little Hei exclaimed.

”Eh?”

”Little Sakura?”

What surprised them was seeing their neighbor, and the friend they made after arriving in this world, Sakura Kinomoto, stealthily leaving her house and running towards the outside.

”So late, where is she going?”

Seeing Little Sakura’s actions on the screen, Illya couldn’t help but worry.

”Master, shall we go and check?”

”No hurry, keep watching, it’s not just her, you know?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng activated another screen, this time showing a third-grade girl wearing home clothes, with brown hair tied into pigtails...

”Who is this child?”

”She is Nanoha Takamachi, a student from my class.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but feel amazed, never expecting destiny to be so interesting. Little Sakura collecting Clow Cards and Nanoha sealing Seeds of Holy Stone happened on the same day, which was indeed intriguing.

But unfortunately, they wouldn’t meet each other, as Little Sakura’s target was the small forest beside the nearby square, while Nanoha seemed to be heading towards the school. They were separated by half the city, making it impossible to collide.

Could this be the reason the two had never crossed paths before?

”So late, they sneakily went out?”

Upon seeing this, Little Hei couldn’t help but comment.

”I never expected Little Sakura to be such a mischievous child.”

”Nor did I...”

”Alright, keep watching.”

Sitting in the chair, Fang Zheng leisurely picked up his teacup, took a sip, and continued to enjoy the scene before him.

Since Nanoha was closer, she reached the school first. Then Fang Zheng saw Nanoha find an empty spot, raising the red Magitech Device in her hand, and with a shout...

No transformation scene!!

None!!

What appeared before Fang Zheng was just a pink sphere enveloping Nanoha entirely! Fang Zheng couldn’t see anything from the outside!!

Looking at the sphere on the screen, Fang Zheng’s smile froze.

Where’s the promised transformation with dramatic flair?

I was all set to record and you gave me a sphere?

Are you messing with me?!

Right, what about Little Sakura’s side?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng quickly looked at the other screen and saw Sakura and Shisei together, having exchanged a few words, after which Shisei gleefully pushed Sakura into the nearby costume-change vehicle...

Fang Zheng: ”.........”

Reality is just too cruel!!

Obviously, magical girls are synonymous with dreams, yet why does reality not even contain a speck of dreaminess?!

”Eh, eh, eh? Master?! Are they all magical girls?!”

Yet, Illya and Little Hei clearly didn’t notice Fang Zheng’s disappointment, but instead exclaimed in surprise. To this inquiry, Fang Zheng, as if having lost all his energy, nodded slightly.

”Yes, just like you, they are all magical girls, so now you should understand why only you guys appeared in this world, right?”

”I see!”

Upon hearing this, Little Hei’s eyes brightened, she then grabbed the circling little white cat beside her.

”Magical girls and mascots! I get it now, so that’s why it was us who came here this time! But...” Saying this, Little Hei smirked at Fang Zheng. ”Big brother, why were you sent to this world too? Could it be that you’re also a magical girl?”

”.........”

Facing Little Hei’s joke, Fang Zheng opened his mouth, then silently glanced at the bracelet in his inventory.

Don’t say, I actually am...

Of course, this is something Fang Zheng wouldn’t tell Little Hei even if his life depended on it, lest she does who knows what, as Little Hei is not as obedient and docile as Illya.

Following this, the combat scenes on the screen unfolded as normal, both Little Sakura and Nanoha successfully accomplished their tasks, although there were some hiccups, as magical girls they would obviously not be halted by difficulties. Therefore, it wasn’t long before both of them had completed their tasks. Meanwhile, Illya and Little Hei, who were watching the live broadcast in front of the screen, clapped their hands and cheered for both of them.

”Never thought these two were quite capable.”

”This is the magical girl image I imagined...”

Illya watched the two on the screen with a complex expression, not knowing why she always felt her magical girl path seemed to be deviating.

However, just at this moment, something unexpected happened suddenly.
