Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 820: Chapter 819: What Should I Wear?

This warship isn’t small, with Iona controlling the Annihilation Level slowly coming to a stop at the opening in the rear.

”Alright, now I’ll go take a look...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng instinctively tidied up his clothes, then suddenly froze, realizing a very important issue.

What should I wear?

By heaven and earth, Fang Zheng has traveled through so many worlds, yet in this one, he suddenly realized... this is really an issue for him!

Of course, it’s not that the vacuum of space would harm Fang Zheng. After all, the Zerg traverse space in their flesh, and for Fang Zheng, this isn’t a problem either. But right now, he’s human. Have you ever seen a human doing a spacewalk in formal attire without a helmet?

If a survivor saw this, anyone would doubt whether he’s human!

”...Forget it.”

After thinking it over for a while, Fang Zheng gritted his teeth and stomped his foot, then flames suddenly erupted from his body, transforming into the armor of the Farron Undead Legion... Well, although this doesn’t seem reliable either, at least... at least, it’s better than formal attire.

”I’ll go check out the situation. Nymph, gather information on this warship, and Iona, keep an eye on the surroundings and report any unusual circumstances to me immediately.”

Although this place seems safe for now, those three mysterious warships just before have shown Fang Zheng that this certainly isn’t some kind of haven. For all he knows, humans might be at war with some alien race... If that’s the case, he’d better be cautious.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and the next moment he vanished from the Annihilation Level, appearing on the deck of this damaged warship.

The whole warship was currently in zero gravity, but of course, this didn’t trouble Fang Zheng. He simply cast a Gravity Magic on himself to stabilize his body. Then Fang Zheng raised his head and glanced around.

Although he didn’t know what the core of this warship was, at least for now, it still had power, and even in the damaged corridor, Fang Zheng could see some flickering lights. However, due to the vacuum, no sound could be heard, giving this warship an eerie atmosphere.

Fang Zheng walked into the corridor, then leaned against the wall and took a selfie with his personal terminal.

”...Really out of place.”

Seeing the Farron Knight in the silver-white armor with the cape fluttering in the futuristic metal corridor, Fang Zheng shook his head helplessly. It seemed that after going back this time, he really needed to get a set of combat armor. At least in space, that would give him some face. But now... what’s going on here!

Fortunately, the personal terminal made by the Little Angel could be used to pull some tech value; otherwise, Fang Zheng would probably die of embarrassment.

Indeed, relying on magic alone isn’t enough, after completing this mission, I’ll have to start developing a tech tree when I get back!

Resolutely making up his mind, Fang Zheng quickly headed deeper down the corridor.

While surveying the ship, Nymph had already scanned the entire vessel and quickly located the source of the distress signal. According to the markings, this person was clearly frozen and waiting for rescue.

Receiving this news relieved Fang Zheng quite a bit. Truth be told, he was really worried that he’d board the ship and find no life signs... There are quite a few space horror movies like that, after all!

But... what kind of world is this, really?

Fang Zheng glanced at the ship’s name on the corridor wall, called ”Headed for Dawn,” but no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t recall any clues about this ship. Of course, the fact is, most people don’t pay much attention to these things while watching movies, like who remembers what the name of the initial freighter the heroine Ripley was in on ”Alien”?

Fang Zheng certainly doesn’t remember.

What was it called again...?

Forget about it.

”Master.”

At this moment, Nymph’s voice echoed in Fang Zheng’s ear.

”What’s up?”

”I’m attempting to control the ship’s subsystems, but something is trying to stop me...”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow.

”Do we have trouble?”

”No, I’ve lifted the other party’s access... though the AI seems a bit strange. Alright, I’ve activated the ship’s gravity control system.”

With Nymph’s words, the next moment Fang Zheng saw the cargo and other miscellaneous things that were floating around suddenly crash to the floor, and the cape that was drifting behind him like a wing also sagged down.

”Alright, this is much better.”

Satisfied, Fang Zheng stomped his foot on the ground around him.

”It seems there are indeed a lot of good things in this world... Nymph, search the entire ship’s systems, and pack up all the useful data.”

”Yes.”

After issuing the command, Fang Zheng once again walked towards the deeper part of the corridor. It didn’t take long for him to arrive at the cryogenic chamber located at the end of the ship. Compared to earlier, this place was relatively intact, at least it seemed so.

But the warships in this world are really tough. Split into two, yet they’re still able to supply energy for low-temperature freezing... And according to Nymph’s earlier search results, this warship has been drifting in space for four years...

Marveling at this, Fang Zheng was still busy picking up weapons and guns he encountered along the way and storing them in his personal space. Honestly, this was Fang Zheng’s first encounter with a truly human interstellar civilization, whose level is unknown how much stronger compared to Ironblood and Monster World. Walking along, he was drooling, always feeling that this is a good item, and wanting that too...

If it weren’t for considering that their main target of the mission was still inside, Fang Zheng would have swept the half ship away with a slap.

”Hmm... Cryogenic chamber... This is it...”

Looking at the sign in front of him, Fang Zheng reached out to open the hatch, then compared it with the map on his personal terminal.

”Hmm, it’s in here... this one, right.”

Reaching the end, Fang Zheng quickly saw a frosted cryogenic chamber. Judging by the instruments on the outside, the person they were supposed to rescue must be inside.

But that being said...

Looking at the cryogenic chamber in front of him, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but fall into contemplation.

This thing keeps you frozen the moment you get inside, so who sent the distress signal? Did the person send it just before entering?

”Who are you?”

While Fang Zheng was lost in thought, a voice suddenly came from his personal terminal. Then, he saw a small light flicker from a little pillar nearby, and a mini holographic figure appeared there.

”Who are you? What’s your serial number? Are you here to rescue us?”

”Uh? Serial number... this?”

Scratching his head, Fang Zheng faced the barrage of questions from the mini figure.

”I’m... sort of a civilian. We received your distress signal, so we came... Was it you who sent the signal?”

”Correct.”

The mini figure nodded, then she reached out to open a window in the air and quickly pressed a button. Soon after, Fang Zheng saw the cryogenic chamber in front begin to decompress, the frost covering it quickly dissipating, revealing a tall man clad in green armor standing right before Fang Zheng.

”Wow, that’s cool!”

Looking at the armor the man wore, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but marvel. This armor screams masculinity, Ironblood, manliness!

Of course, if there’s a downside... why paint it green?

At this moment, the man slowly woke up, shaking his head as if not fully alert. Seeing his state, the mini figure quickly spoke up.

”Hey, take it slow, you’ve been asleep for a long time.”

”Cortana...”

Upon hearing the voice of the mini figure, the man shook his head.

”Where are we? Why did you wake me?”

”We are still drifting with the Dawn-class, but fortunately, we’ve found rescue.”

”Rescue...”

At this point, the man looked up and saw Fang Zheng standing outside, curiously observing him. He reached out to pull the manual release on the cryogenic chamber, and as the hatch opened, the man strode out. He walked up to Fang Zheng, carefully scrutinized him, then nodded.

”I am Super Warrior S117 of the Dawn-class. Thank you for your rescue.”

”You’re welcome, it was no trouble at all.”

Looking at S117 in front of him, Fang Zheng felt a mix of emotions. This armor is just too cool, definitely cooler than my own outfit...

”Anyway, let’s get out of here first, then we can...”

However, before Fang Zheng could finish, a burst of orange-yellow light suddenly flashed through the cabin, causing the entire ship to tremble slightly.

What happened? What’s going on?

Watching this sudden abnormal sight, Fang Zheng was momentarily stunned, and at that moment, Iona’s voice appeared in his mind.

”Commander! That planet has been activated, it is scanning us!”

”...Scanning? What scanning?”

”It’s the planet in front of this ship, it’s artificial! Just now, its central section emitted a light beam, scanning us... We don’t know what’s going on, Commander, please leave the ship immediately!!”

”Got it.”

Upon hearing Iona’s report, Fang Zheng nodded, then glanced at Super Warrior 117 beside him.

He hadn’t noticed there was an artificial planet nearby, but now, as soon as he released this person, the planet suddenly activated?

Could there be any connection between the two?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng quickly spoke up.

”There’s a bit of trouble, in any case, let’s get out of here quickly.”
