Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 811: Chapter 810 Can’t Think of a Title for This Chapter

The decision from the meeting in the Kingdom of Flame was delivered right to Fang Zheng’s eyes immediately — with ”Ratziel” around, unless the other side used Legendary Rank barriers or confidentiality methods, otherwise... in Fang Zheng’s eyes, there were no secrets.

As for the Kingdom of Flame’s idea... Fang Zheng didn’t take it seriously at all, just chuckled.

Really, the mentally unstable have broad ideas, and children with intellectual disabilities have much joy.

If the Kingdom of Flame wants to mess around, just let them be.

At least from Fang Zheng’s perspective, the Kingdom of Flame wouldn’t be likely to cause trouble for Heavenly Dao Palace anymore; an entire army of 50,000 wiped out, and just the compensation alone would be enough to make the parliament of the Kingdom of Flame want to hang themselves collectively. He had investigated the Kingdom of Flame’s financial movements through ”Ratziel”, and the current amount of money the Kingdom of Flame had was probably clearer to Fang Zheng than their own Minister of Finance. If the Kingdom of Flame had to pay these compensations alone, then the next day the Fanriel Parliament might directly file for bankruptcy protection.

However, Fanriel certainly wouldn’t pay this money themselves, Fang Zheng could guess with his toes that it must be the Land of Wealth footing the bill from behind. These two had been in collusion for so many years, the routine was already fixed. The Kingdom of Flame provided manpower and effort, while the Land of Wealth provided money and equipment...

So this financial crisis to the Kingdom of Flame was just a debt problem between it and the Land of Wealth, and wouldn’t be debilitating.

But at least for a long period of time, the Kingdom of Flame will spend most of its time dealing with these messes, as for Heavenly Dao Palace... it probably won’t be in their line of sight anymore.

And for Fang Zheng, it was considered a retaliation... If you dare to take advantage of when I’m being assassinated to cause trouble for Heavenly Dao Palace, then be prepared for me to hit back.

After all, this is self-inflicted!

After solving the Kingdom of Flame’s problem, Fang Zheng once again turned his attention to the current development within Heavenly Dao Palace.

In the time Fang Zheng dealt with the Kingdom of Flame, Heavenly Dao Palace had also been proceeding in an orderly manner.

First was the report from the Stone Village which surprised Fang Zheng: after research and investigation, Stone Village found that the so-called nano-organisms Fang Zheng encountered in the Spirit Crystal Vein were not organisms, but a kind of nano-machine... or more accurately, nano-insects, but no matter what it was called, at least it was certain that this should be an artificial machine, not a real organism.

When he first saw this report, Fang Zheng was a bit taken aback, but upon reflection... it wasn’t impossible, after all, it’s already been confirmed that the Goddess of Order is an advanced extraterrestrial tech civilization, creating nano-insects should be a small matter for them.

Since it was a nano-machine, Fang Zheng left it to Nymph to handle. With Nymph’s ability, unraveling the secrets of these nano-insects should not be too big of a problem.

The ”catalyst” Fang Zheng brought back from the Bio-World, after analysis by the Zerg, also resulted in findings. According to Lulana’s analysis, this so-called ”catalyst” was more like a targeted marker, it stimulated dormant gene cells with intense stimulus to ”awaken” them.

Of course, due to Umbrella’s relatively backward biotechnology, the ”stimulation” amplitude was also inconsistent.

To put it bluntly, it was like holding a hammer to wake someone up. If the force was too small, it wouldn’t wake; if too strong, it’d kill directly. Only if the force was just right could you wake them up without killing them.

The reason there were so many zombies in Resident Evil was because the ”hammer” force of the catalyst was too strong, knocking them dead entirely, leading to a collapse, and eventually resulting in such a terrible... outcome.

And a lucky few like Rea did not die, but woke up instead.

Fang Zheng had asked Lulana whether the Zerg could achieve this, and Lulana affirmed it. This puzzled Fang Zheng, why could the Zerg do it, but didn’t?

Facing Fang Zheng’s question, Lulana explained. The reason was simple, the Zerg’s instinct was to expand and evolve to the limits, but the evolution of a single species didn’t seem advantageous to them.

Take the ”Undead” from the Bio-World for example, they gained immortality after activating cells. But even so, they still couldn’t change the fact that they remained human. If someone like Nymph created a virus targeting Bio-World’s human genome to destroy their gene structure and extinct them, even if one awoke as Superman, they would be instantaneously killed.

Just like during the world war when those Martians, with advanced technology, were finished off by a cold... that’s the most foolish defeat outcome.

From the Swarm’s perspective, a single species means certain doom, so they preferred to absorb the advantages of local organisms, integrate them into the Swarm, or modify the original organism to join the Swarm, rather than do something so thankless.

Moreover, the Swarm was a biological civilization, with expansion and conquest as their instincts, why bother capturing alien species worldwide for gene sequencing and experiments, when it’s easier, more convenient, and straightforward to absorb their merits directly... Isn’t this exponentially better?

However, this catalyst wasn’t entirely useless to Fang Zheng. Although it had some drawbacks, it must be admitted, it did have good effects for treatment if not for the risk of turning into a zombie, one shot was almost guaranteed survival unless dead.

So Fang Zheng let Lulana try to analyze the catalyst’s components, to come up with something less intense. After traveling through so many worlds, Fang Zheng discovered an issue on his side, everything was fine except treatment.

Because Natsuse and others had Zerg genes plus the Intestinal Virus, their healing ability was strong, even injuries would heal in the blink of an eye. This resulted in the medical development at Heavenly Dao Palace being the worst, basically non-existent. This often left Fang Zheng having to rely entirely on himself — for instance, in the Bio-World, when Rea and others were injured, Fang Zheng had to use Time Retrospection to heal them, which felt like overkill.

As a result, one time when Kei Shidou accidentally caught a cold, Fang Zheng, Little Hei, and Natsuse were stumped and had no solution, Fang Zheng had to eventually run to a pharmacy to grab a pack of cold medicine to treat it... If this got out, Heavenly Dao Palace’s reputation would be shot!

So Fang Zheng plans to modify this thing to see if he can make some kind of universal medicine. No matter if it’s a cold, fever, cough, or chills, one shot and it’ll be fine... better to have some on hand. You can’t expect to play the role of a healer every time.

Ah... it would be great if I could draw a Soulstone for a healing class.

The reason Fang Zheng wants to research this is also for Type Moon World’s Fiore. That girl is unable to walk due to an innate anomaly with her Magic Circuit, and it’s congenital, not something from the day after tomorrow. So Fang Zheng’s Time Retrospection and Kurumi’s Fourth Bullet are useless.

Although logically, Fang Zheng could use the Third Magic to restore her, he hasn’t used this thing before. If his hand slips and turns Fiore into a mermaid, it’ll be a problem.

So, after thinking it over, Fang Zheng decided to find a way from the physical level, enhancing Fiore’s Physical Quality and activating her cells. This way, she should be able to walk.

As for the Type Moon World... well, it’s currently going smoothly.

The World Tree of a Thousand Realms family has basically migrated to East Asia, and as previously planned by Fang Zheng, they opened a company over there. Of course, Fang Zheng couldn’t just show up and say, ”Do you want our nuclear fusion reactor, selling it by weight, and it’s on a half-price sale...” That’s obviously not possible.

Even if you say it, people wouldn’t believe it!

However, Fang Zheng naturally has a way. He directly set up a joint research enterprise over there and started researching... materials!

That’s right, whether you’re dealing with space shuttle nuclear fusion or car batteries, materials are crucial. Many scientific technologies can’t develop not because people are stupid, but because they can’t find suitable raw materials. Take nuclear fusion, for instance. You need materials that are good conductors, high temperature resistant, and radiation-resistant. Where can you find such materials?

The saying goes, ”A clever housewife cannot cook without rice.” No matter how advanced your technology is or how ingenious your theory, if you don’t have usable raw materials, what’s the use? A hundred years ago, people couldn’t build nuclear reactors not because there was a lack of manpower.

Therefore, the route Fang Zheng chose is to ”research” materials and slowly reveal the process and research plans for the raw materials needed for nuclear fusion. Once there’s enough raw material, manufacturing a nuclear fusion reactor will naturally follow... At that time, you don’t even need to bring it up; they’ll naturally head in that direction.

Also, providing raw materials is much safer than offering mature technology, avoiding unnecessary trouble...

”Knock knock knock.”

Just as Fang Zheng was thinking about what to do next, a knocking sound came from outside the study. Hearing the knock, Fang Zheng brought back his thoughts.

”Come in.”

”Big brother, sorry to disturb you.”

As soon as Fang Zheng finished speaking, Little Hei opened the door with a grin and waved at Fang Zheng.

”What’s up, Little Hei, anything going on?”

”Hehehe...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Little Hei gave a sly smile.

”I plan to throw a welcome party for Sister Walnut and the others, to welcome them to the Heavenly Dao Palace. Natsuse and Midori will also participate, so big brother... do you want to come too?”

”Welcome party?”

Hearing Little Hei’s answer, Fang Zheng was momentarily stunned.

”Where?”

”At the Rabbit Home...”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng immediately understood what kind of mischief this little girl was up to.

”So... big brother, will you come?”

”Of course, count me in.”

Kidding me, how could I miss out on such an entertaining opportunity!
