Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 807: Chapter 806: How Could Flying Dragon Lose Riding Face?

When the swarm fully mobilized, the army of the Kingdom of Flame completely collapsed.

The generals of the Kingdom of Flame were not fools. A significant portion of these soldiers had once battled the Zerg here and were considered experienced.

However, the problem was that the Kingdom of Flame did not view the Zerg as a civilized race but as a group of ordinary Demon Beasts. In their eyes, no matter how intelligent these insects were, they couldn’t be that smart. Not to mention that Fang Zheng had repeatedly used Alien Jump Bugs and Hydralisks to cause havoc, causing them to subconsciously believe there were only these three types of ”Demon Beasts.”

However, when they saw Flying Dragons swooping down from the clouds and Thunder Beasts as large as small mountains cooperating with the rest of the swarm, they finally realized they had been deceived.

Only the elite, with their quick minds, could withstand the Zerg attack until now, and it was precisely because of this that they completely collapsed.

They had struggled under the Zerg assault because they instinctively thought the Zerg were just bugs, similar to Demon Beasts, and even if intelligent, not comparable to humans. Therefore, they believed that if they tried hard enough, they might still have a chance to escape.

This belief sustained their efforts until now.

But with the full entry of the swarm, they finally realized they were deceived.

Previously, insects that had never demonstrated the ability to burrow surprisingly ambushed them on their inevitable route. Not only that, but so many different types appeared that they had never seen before! If they had known there were creatures that could spray venom, self-detonate, and that there was a swarm as large as small mountains, they would not have recklessly ventured deep into uncharted territory, threatening the enemy’s lair!

At the very least, they would have mobilized a Magitech Fleet as cover, right?

Now, it’s all too late!

In fact, this was not entirely Fang Zheng’s plan but rather the idea of Lulana, the Insect Matriarch. Fang Zheng merely set such a policy, and Lulana knew what to do.

Are you kidding? The Zerg roamed the Star Sea, conquered countless planets, and even turned over the homeland of the Star Spirits. If they didn’t understand tactics, what game were they playing?

The emergence of Flying Dragons became the last straw that broke the back of the Kingdom of Flame’s army.

Strictly speaking, though there was the addition of the ”Beast Factor” from the Creature World and the ”Fire Dragon Gene” from the Fire Dragon World, plus the ”Shadow Dragon Factor” extracted by Fang Zheng, the size of the Zerg Flying Dragons was still somewhat inferior to the Dragon Race in the Main World. Their size was slightly larger than the Fire Dragons in the Fire Dragon World, but compared to the Dragon Race in the Main World... well, they’d be just a tad better than those not yet mature.

But the intimidating appearance speaks for itself!

To be honest, when Fang Zheng initially wanted to adjust the Flying Dragons to a Dragon form, Lulana opposed it. As the Insect Matriarch of the Zerg, she believed this form did not conform to the trend of maximizing the strengths of the Zerg. But Fang Zheng declared that he was the Master, and that the Zerg’s priority now was beauty. He asked if she believed he wouldn’t make her adjust the Jump Bugs into Pikachu if she continued to object.

So Lulana decisively kept silent.

In retrospect, Fang Zheng indeed proved to have foresight. Against the unfamiliar Zerg, the army of the Kingdom of Flame still had the courage to fight. But when they saw the Flying Dragons descend from the sky, those soldiers finally gave up resisting and began to scatter in all directions, fleeing for their lives.

Joking aside! The Kingdom of Flame was extremely familiar with the Dragon Race. There were hundreds or even thousands of dragons above! Even if they looked a bit smaller, they were still dragons!

”Why are there so many dragons here?”

Some even widened their eyes in shock, unable to believe the scene before them. It was well known that the Dragon Race hadn’t appeared before humans for many years. Rumor had it that after the War of Order, the Dragon Race chose seclusion, following a sacred treaty, and would only return on the next ”Prophecy Day.”

Could it be that now... this is the return of the Dragon Race?!

With the arrival of the Flying Dragons, the army of the Kingdom of Flame finally, completely, collapsed. The elite troops on the ground began to flee in all directions using their skills, trying to escape the battlefield that had turned into hell. And the Mages hovering in the air fared no better. Flying Dragons mixed with Explosive Mosquitoes launched surprise attacks, turning these Mages into confused targets. Many Mages, lacking skill, were caught off guard and killed by the Explosive Mosquitoes, with the remaining ones becoming snacks for the Flying Dragons. Only a few powerful Mages managed to escape using Teleportation Skills.

Good, everything is going smoothly.

Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction as he watched the swarm completely overthrow the enemy army, and then he connected with Lulana and issued a command.

”Push the frontline to the edge of the Fungal Carpet, then build defenses... prepare to hatch Spore Crawlers and Spore Crawlers. I want to ensure that not a single one of those bastards from the Kingdom of Flame can come in!”

Precisely, Fang Zheng had simply adapted the Divine Race tactics he used in the Northlands. The strategy of ”building Defensive Towers right up to your doorstep” was a surefire way to win any battle when resources were plentiful. And unlike the Star Spirit buildings, Zerg Defensive Towers could move, combined with Stealth detection, Lurkers, and tens of thousands of hidden Zerg troops underground. Fang Zheng couldn’t believe the Kingdom of Flame would dare to come courting death?

”—————!!”

However, at that moment, a deafening roar suddenly erupted. Hearing the roar, almost all the swarm paused simultaneously, and even Fang Zheng felt a genuine fear arising from the Swarm Network, but he quickly dispelled it.

What’s the situation?

Fang Zheng shifted his attention to the direction where the sound came from because he understood what that feeling was. The fact that it could make the swarm instinctively feel fear was entirely due to a physiological pressure, and capable of doing that... only a Giant Dragon!!

Could it be that the Dragon Race is here to cause trouble?

”Boom!!”

Just as Fang Zheng was deliberating, a bright crimson flame suddenly erupted in the front. Next, Fang Zheng saw a Flame Tornado violently rise and roar forward. Simultaneously, a voice emerged from the Flame Tornado.

”You pestilent bugs! How dare you block the path of the great me! I will make you all die!!”

Accompanied by the angry roar, Fang Zheng saw a red-haired man emerging from the Flame Tornado, gripping a seemingly expensive Longsword with a crimson blade. Wherever he went, all Zerg nearly instantaneously went up in flames, whether they were Jump Bugs, Hydralisks, or anything else, burned from the inside out to cinders. Fang Zheng then saw the burning flames erupting from the swarm being drawn into the sky, merging with the Tornado.

After absorbing these flames, the Tornado swirling around the red-haired man inexplicably swelled in size once more!

Is this a Legendary?

Watching this scene, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but frown. It wasn’t the level gap that concerned him, but the access gap posed a real issue. Though Fang Zheng commanded countless Zerg, sending them in this manner would merely serve the opponent. Moreover, he seemed capable of enhancing himself by slaying enemies, which was precisely the type the Zerg despised the most.

After all, the swarm’s advantage lay in numbers, and if the quantity was leveraged by the opponent, it would become incredibly vexatious.

But... what on earth is this guy? Human? Dragon? Or some hybrid?

In any case, let’s give it a try first.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng squinted, and soon, his will once again emerged from the Swarm Network.

”Roar!!”

The next moment, a Thunder Beast roared and flew out, crashing directly into the Flame Tornado enclosing the red-haired man!!
