Super Gene Hunting Ground

Chapter 76: Chapter 76 Who Gave You Confidence?

Zhao Gang and his group launched a surprise attack purely out of hatred and impulse.

After a few rounds of fighting, it became clear that Zhao Gang’s dozen or so people were at a disadvantage, continuously getting beaten.

Zhao Gang’s team had more than a hundred people, and seeing Zhao Gang and others about to lose, someone shouted loudly:

”Brothers, let’s all go up together, nothing to be afraid of! On the territory of our Kongming Academy, we can’t let outsiders bully us, can we?”

With a shout from the crowd, dozens of people charged up, encircling Li Wei and his group in the middle.

Although Li Wei and his group were brave, they couldn’t fight back against so many. Zhao Gang led people in a mad fight, and Li Wei and his group were brutally hit a few times, two had their hands cut off, someone was stabbed in the back, and Li Wei had three sword wounds on his body.

Li Wei and his group didn’t hold back either, killing two people and seriously injuring several.

The brawl erupted in an instant, and by the time the 200 students from Xianan University reacted, Li Wei and his group had already been surrounded.

The students of Xianan University immediately organized a team to charge in, breaking Zhao Gang and his group’s encirclement and rescuing Li Wei and his group.

”Brothers, people from Xianan University are flexing their muscles at our Kongming Academy, killing our people. Are we all cowards at Kongming Academy? Let’s fight them!”

In the crowd watching, someone started shouting loudly, and a wave of righteous indignation surged in everyone’s hearts.

”There are over a thousand of us, we’re not afraid of their 200!”

”We can’t just watch our brothers being bullied by outsiders, can we?”

”Go!”

...

Despite it being the end times, and although many often schemed against and plotted against each other, facing the people from Xianan University, the people from Kongming Academy naturally united together.

This is team spirit.

Hundreds of people immediately charged forward, forming a standoff with the people from Xianan University.

Zhou Qiang and Xiao Zhe rushed over hurriedly.

Though the 200 people Zhou Qiang brought had overall strong combat power, facing the overwhelming numbers and emotions at Kongming Academy, he didn’t dare to take it head-on. Otherwise, in such a large-scale brawl, defeating one thousand would cost eight hundred of his own.

Besides, Zhou Qiang had another important purpose for coming to Kongming Academy this time. Even if he could kill all the people in Kongming Academy, his goal for this visit wouldn’t be achieved.

Zhou Qiang shouted angrily from afar at the crowd:

”Stop, everyone stop, people from Xianan University, stop, fall back.”

After speaking, Zhou Qiang turned his head and said to Xiao Zhe, who was running behind him:

”Xiao Zhe, restrain your people, and I will restrain ours.”

Xiao Zhe nodded and quickly rushed to the front of the crowd, shouting loudly:

”Brothers, stop, Zhao Gang, stop for now, fall back, let’s talk things out, don’t be impulsive.”

Xu Hua led his team of dozens to quickly charge up as well, temporarily separating the two teams.

Then, some people started cursing Xu Hua and Xiao Zhe.

”Xu Hua, are you TMD still a person from Kongming Academy? Why are you turning your elbow outwards?”

”Xiao Zhe, if you have the guts, just lead us to slaughter those bastards from Xianan University.”

...

On the field, a standoff quickly formed between people from Kongming Academy and Xianan University, with at least over 500 people from Kongming Academy in the front, and hundreds more cheering from behind.

Zhou Qiang ordered his troops to retreat a few dozen meters, temporarily avoiding a larger conflict.

Li Wei, with bloodshot eyes, roared:

”Zhou Qiang, what are you afraid of, let me lead the team to fight them, what’s there to fear from this group of rookies, we 200 can wipe out all of them.”

”Li Wei, shut your mouth!”

Zhou Qiang growled, glaring at Li Wei.

Before setting out, he had considered not letting Li Wei come along, as Li Wei had killed people from Kongming Academy a few days ago, creating enmity.

Li Wei was a reliable fighter under him, and Zhou Qiang thought that as long as Li Wei stayed low in the team, it would be less likely for Zhao Gang and others to notice.

But unexpectedly, things turned out just that way, and Zhao Gang was also a hot-headed and impulsive person, who attacked directly, killing two people in the ambush, and critically injuring several others in the brawl.

Zhou Qiang scanned his team and saw that everyone was also filled with rage, ready to fight to the death, so he said in a deep voice:

”Everyone, don’t act impulsively, I will handle this matter and give everyone an explanation, especially to our dead brothers. Before I deal with it, no one is allowed to act rashly, otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude.”

The organizational discipline of Xianan University was relatively strict, and over the month of trials in the end times, some agreed rules had been formed. Zhou Qiang was the leader of these people, so everyone naturally had to listen to him.

Zhou Qiang, with a gloomy face, walked to the center of the field between the two groups and glanced coldly at Zhao Gang and the others on the opposite side:

”We, the people from Xianan University, came here with goodwill and friendly intentions. Now it is the end times, and all of us should unite to challenge adversity.

I didn’t expect such a thing to happen, whether it was an accident or a misunderstanding, it’s not something I wanted to see.”

Zhou Qiang paused for a moment and continued:

”An eye for an eye, even in the end times, this rule still applies. I am not bullying others with power, I just demand justice. Our people were killed two, and several were injured, this account must be settled, who did it? Come out yourself.”

The field was silent, no one spoke, and no one came forward.

The atmosphere was tense.

Xiao Zhe wanted to say something, opened his mouth but still didn’t speak, he couldn’t control the situation.

Xu Hua and his dozens were also put into an awkward position, he couldn’t exactly join Zhou Qiang to attack Zhao Gang and others, could he?

After a moment of silence, Zhao Gang sneered and took a few steps forward.

”Zhou Qiang, I killed them.”

Zhao Gang was covered in blood, with multiple wounds all over his body, but he was happy today, finally killing some of Li Wei’s people, avenging the last time, and as for today’s sacrifices, he couldn’t care that much.

Zhou Qiang glanced at Zhao Gang and nodded.

”Good, daring to take responsibility, you’ve got guts! However, although I appreciate you as a man, I must avenge my brothers. I know you’re not the only one who acted, but today I’ll let the net be slightly open, only punishing you alone, taking your life for my two brothers’ lives, fair, right?”

Zhou Qiang, on one hand, wanted to avenge the fallen brothers and soothe his team’s emotions, or else, no one would listen to him in the future.

On the other hand, Zhou Qiang didn’t want to let this event create enmity between Kongming Academy and Xianan University, otherwise, future cooperation couldn’t proceed.

If Zhao Gang’s death could exchange for peace between both sides, he considered it feasible.

Xiao Zhe and the others also thought the same as Zhou Qiang, even being grateful for Zhou Qiang’s magnanimity, without pursuing others’ responsibilities.

Zhao Gang laughed out loud and said:

”Zhou Qiang, you want justice? Fine, then please help me calculate what is fair, a few days ago I went out to look for food, found a secluded shop in Nine-tails City, and then your people rushed over, claiming everything in Nine-tails City is yours, forcefully driving us away, killing our three brothers. How do you intend to give me justice for this?”

Zhou Qiang looked at Zhao Gang, proudly saying:

”Nine-tails City indeed belongs to us, Xianan University now. You trespassing into Nine-tails City was your fault.”

”Bullshit, when did Nine-tails City belong to your Xianan University? It’s public, resources there can be accessed by everyone.”

”Hehe, that’s your thought, Zhao Gang, hope you understand, now it’s the end times, whoever has the stronger fist makes the rules.”

Zhou Qiang’s tone was cold, a killing aura spreading out.

”You mean, only you get to kill others, but others can’t kill you?”

Zhao Gang questioned back.

Zhou Qiang smiled slightly, nodded gracefully.

”You finally understood. The reason I’m taking the time to talk to you now isn’t that I’m afraid of you, it’s just that I don’t want this conflict to escalate. If it really starts, don’t think that just because you have more people, our 200 can still wipe out your Kongming Academy.”

Buzz!

Everyone had a buzzing in their minds, knowing that Zhou Qiang had hit the core point. The calm people thought carefully and realized Zhou Qiang was also speaking the truth.

”Oh really? Who gave you such confidence that 200 people could wipe out our Kongming Academy?”

A cold voice suddenly came from behind the crowd. Everyone turned to look, only to see a handsome young man slowly walking up, surrounded by a dozen girls.

The young man had a stern face, and beside him, two girls’ beautiful looks were dazzling to everyone.
