Super Gene Hunting Ground

Chapter 64: Chapter 64 Giant Snake

In the playground of Xianan University, there is also a Genetic Store. The difference is that here the orange light radius of the Genetic Store reaches about 100 meters, at least 30 meters more than the playground where Yang Xiao is located.

When Xianan University faced the catastrophe, the main members of the student union survived, unlike Kongming Academy. They immediately established an organizational structure centered around the student union and organized rescue work.

During the subsequent gene mutation and evolution, the student union gradually became the core organization for surviving students.

The survivors at Xianan University number about 3,000, about a thousand more than Kongming Academy.

Yang Xiao’s worries are not unfounded. At this moment, in a temporary tent on the large playground of Xianan University, a meeting is being held, led by Xia Luo, the chairman of the student union.

”The purpose of our meeting today is to discuss our next move. Currently, the situation is that the surviving people at the school are less than three thousand, most have completed the mutation. We have almost collected all the food and drinking water resources in Nine-tails City, and some of the surrounding mutated creatures have been cleared.

But the problem we currently face is that after everyone completes the gene mutation, ordinary food is only enough to fill the stomach. Even the meat of the mutated creatures is the same. To continue enhancing our genes, we must obtain enough Genetic Fragments, which can only be obtained from mutated creatures.

Moreover, if we hunt the Kings among some mutated creatures, we will get some special Magic Weapons and Skill Secret Manuals, which is very important to us. So, I think in the next stage, we need to launch an attack on Biyun Mountain, and sweep through the mutated creatures on Biyun Mountain to obtain sufficient Genetic Fragment resources. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?”

After Xia Luo finished speaking, a burly male student stood up. His name is Zhou Qiang, temporarily serving as the captain of the Nine-tails City garrison detachment. The entire Nine-tails City is garrisoned by 500 people from Xianan University. They have searched all major supermarket malls and most of the food has been brought back to the current playground.

Compared to the playground of Kongming Academy, this place seems very orderly, with security posts, logistics support, emergency detachments, and intelligence groups, all basic functions are complete.

Zhao Gang and others were killed or injured by Zhou Qiang’s subordinates.

”Boss, I’ve got new information.”

”Uh, what information?”

”In the past few days, people from Kongming Academy have broken into Nine-tails City. They clashed with our people today; we killed a few, injured several, and the rest escaped back.”

”Oh?”

Everyone at the meeting looked at Zhou Qiang.

Xia Luo’s brows furrowed slightly and asked:

”People from Kongming Academy can actually run to Nine-tails City?”

”Yes, I sent people to scout. The people from Kongming Academy drove through the fog along the main road outside and reached Nine-tails City. It seems this main road isn’t disturbed by any large mutated creatures.”

”I see, what is the mutation state of Kongming Academy’s students?”

”Hehe, they are simply powerless. Five of us beat over thirty of them into a rout, and even killed a few of them. It seems their gene evolution process is much slower than ours. They came to Nine-tails City just to look for food.”

After hearing this, Xia Luo thought for a moment and said:

”No wonder, Kongming Academy is on the south side of Biyun Mountain, in a relatively remote area with no large supermarkets around. The available food is limited, and without enough food, they naturally cannot complete the gene mutation.”

”Boss, I captured one of their injured people and inquired about the situation. Kongming Academy has just over a thousand students, most of whom have just completed gene mutations, and the organization is scattered, each acting independently, with weak strength.”

”Okay, Zhou Qiang, can the food from Nine-tails City be transported in the next two days?”

”Almost.”

”Alright, after you transport the food from Nine-tails City, take two hundred people to Kongming Academy to see the situation, and by the way, find someone for me.”

”Boss, are you talking about your cousin, Deng Xiao?”

”Yes, now the information is blocked, contact is inconvenient, and I do not know if she is alive. If she’s alive, bring her back. There’s also another person, named Qin Yu. Look for him too.”

”Hehe, that’s your first love in high school, right? Alright, I’ll head to Kongming Academy in two days.”

At this moment, a young man rushed into the tent, covered in blood, looking very embarrassed.

”Boss, bad news, our team sent to the city center was almost entirely killed when encountering a Monster at Kongming Bridge!”

”Buzz!”

Everyone present felt a buzzing in their minds, utterly shocked.

”What exactly happened, Chen Hai, explain slowly.”

The young man named Chen Hai accepted the water handed to him by someone next to him, drank it in one gulp, wiped the blood off his forehead, and continued:

”I led the team forward slowly along the road. The surroundings were all thick fog, and we moved very slowly, having to fight some suddenly appearing Mutant Monsters from time to time. After six hours of exploration, we finally approached Kongming Bridge.

Just as we stepped onto the bridge, we heard a roar. A Giant Snake, as thick as a barrel and tens of meters long, rushed out from the mist, its tail sweeping us down immediately.

We fought the Giant Snake, but it was extremely fierce, and we were no match for it. Its skin was very hard, and our swords couldn’t harm it at all.

Even Fireball, Lightning, Ice Ball, and Wind Blade elemental attacks didn’t do much damage to it. Most people were swallowed by the Giant Snake. If it weren’t for the Beast Soul of the egret that I relied on to fly and escape urgently, I might not have escaped the Giant Snake’s mouth...”

Chen Hai seemed terrified of the Giant Snake, his expression a mask of fear, with his body constantly trembling as he spoke.

”Give Chen Hai a Small Blood Pill, Chen Hai, go and have a good rest first.”

Chen Hai took a Small Blood Pill, swallowed it in one gulp, and left the tent accompanied by a companion.

Xia Luo thought for a while, and instructed:

”Zhou Qiang, go defend Nine-tails City immediately. If that Giant Snake comes over, notify us immediately. If you can’t fight it, just hide. Let everyone temporarily stay inside the protection circle of the Genetic Store.”

Zhou Qiang was taken aback and asked:

”Boss, what if that Giant Snake doesn’t come?”

Upon hearing this, Xia Luo laughed and cursed:

”You damn well hope the Giant Snake comes? It’s best if it doesn’t. That Giant Snake is likely high-level. If we want to defeat it, we must quickly enhance our own Genetic Evolution... Sigh, it seems we cannot enter the city for now, nor contact people inside. I don’t know what the current situation is there. It seems that this post-apocalyptic situation is worse than we expected. Well then, let’s organize our main forces to hunt Monsters in Biyun Mountain to quickly enhance our genetic potential.”
