Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 681: Chapter 681: He is Sneering

This task involved counting heads.

No matter how formidable Luo Ze Elite troops were defeated, the profit for each person was the same when tallied at the end.

To ensure the ultimate profit of the task, it was necessary to defeat as many Luo Ze Elite as possible before the human troops retreated.

Naturally, they needed to target the weakest.

Choosing the right opponent was the key to high returns.

To maintain high efficiency in team combat, each Luo Ze Elite Army unit was equipped with different professions.

Such a team, bonded together, could exert the greatest strength.

However, to cover multiple areas on the battlefield and to avoid Luo Ze’s troops from suffering heavy losses due to immobility, the captain of this elite unit interspersed his elites among the troops of Luo Ze’s Empire.

No one raised objections; each of the Luo Ze Elite was quite confident in their own strength, especially since they had previously won a major battle.

Of course, these Luo Ze Elite also gave a certain respect to the beastman army of winter, their connection remained, enabling them to support each other to some extent.

Unfortunately, support required time.

This strategy also presented Yang Yu with numerous opportunities.

His gaze swept across the chaotic battlefield, and from the panels that jumped about, he identified those of Luo Ze Elite, moving at lightning speed among the energetically bursting beastmen, finding one vulnerable Luo Ze Elite after another and attacking relentlessly.

As for other difficult Luo Ze Elite, the troops Yang Yu brought were not there just to fill numbers; under the leadership of Silver Wolf, they too rapidly joined the combat.

They may not have had Yang Yu’s speed and reflexes, a single person couldn’t handle an opponent from Luo Ze Elite, but if one couldn’t beat them, couldn’t they have a righteous group fight?

Speaking of group fights, they had often been guided by Yang Yu.

Yang Yu would often let his troops use him or his squad as mock enemies for mobbing practices.

Speaking of the opportunity to choose such training…

It definitely wasn’t because Yang Yu felt that it was troublesome to knock down soldier after soldier for Experience after the troop expanded, but rather he let Bai Jin and others join in, using their high output to quickly end it.

Rather, Yang Yu noted that although the Luo Ze Empire’s troops were well-trained on the surface, they implemented sharpshooter strategies behind the scenes, gripping both ends.

They were likely also worried about someone appearing who could sway the battle according to the giant dragon rules, or perhaps, they wanted to cultivate such a person.

Yang Yu did not think influencing the battle situation was an easy matter.

The Snowman staying in Benliang City, despite his overwhelming strength, couldn’t cover every corner of this plain.

If this war were a MOBA game, even if one could kill a hundred or eighty people, losing the game because the enemy sneaks in would still be pointless.

Yang Yu wanted to be not just a peerless general who kills hundreds, but a strategist who could command backdoor tactics.

Certainly, having a certain amount of strength was also essential, at least not to be completely crushed by the opponent, there needed to be room for tactical maneuvers.

To sneak, even if sacrificially, someone had to distract others’ attention.

Regrettably, Luo Ze Empire was not naive; they knew how to group up, ambush, and farm the economy from various areas, putting Wansheng Country in an increasingly precarious situation.

If an Absolute Powerhouse emerged from Luo Ze Empire at this moment, able to suppress all forces trying to counter, it would indeed sway the battle situation.

Wansheng Country wanted to turn the tables, and both minor and major victories were essential. However, facing Humans, turning the tables was definitely not something one or two so-called Absolute Powerhouses could achieve.

No matter what, when the first batch of Luo Ze’s Elites appeared, Yang Yu realized the formidable combat capabilities of the elite group.

It was then that Yang Yu started to consciously instill in his various squads the concept of fighting “BOSSes” and conducting live combat exercises.

These combat exercises were not trivial skirmishes but real, live-fire ones involving bloodshed.

Anyway, with the Beastmen’s regenerative abilities, losing half their blood and sleeping it off the next day was sufficient for recovery. For severe injuries, using more Potions could also lead to quick recovery.

At first, the soldiers complained incessantly, but on second thought, on the battlefield, the enemy would certainly not show the kind of mercy that Yang Yu did.

If you died, you were truly dead.

Yang Yu’s strength was evident to all who had followed him.

Not to mention officers at the General Level, even officials at the Yajiang Level, who had numerous military duties every day, might take a moment to coach a troop, selecting soldiers with potential for one-on-one training.

Training with someone like Yang Yu, who possessed great strength and did not care about potential, was not hardship but good fortune.

Yang Yu’s troops were chosen by Dongmu, not solely because of Yang Yu, but because his troops were continually striving for improvement.

Though there had been divisions, Yang Yu’s troops were largely split into three parts, a further affirmation from Dongmu.

Facing one Luo Ze Elite after another, the troops led by Yang Yu did their utmost to recall what Yang Yu had taught and to demonstrate their improvement.

The Luo Ze Elites on the battlefield started to sense that something was amiss.

Initially, through Surveillance Magic pre-set in the sky, Luo Ze’s Elites knew that the central strategy forces must have formed elite units to deal with the imminent danger.

Seeing only two hundred men arriving, they were not scared but instead felt a slight urge to laugh.

Each of the Luo Ze Elites was fully confident in their abilities.

They had undergone countless brutal trainings and had undergone a transformation—not just any elite could compare.

“Although Wansheng Country sent many elites, to manage various battlefields, most of the elites sent were just filler, hoping to use their superficial numerical advantage to force us to retreat.

Just a skirmish would reveal how much they truly weigh.

Even if a significant proportion of them are truly elite, the battle might be tougher, but it won’t stop us from annihilating the forces Wansheng Country deployed, paving the way for the Empire’s grand ambitions.”

Yet, when they truly clashed, these Luo Ze Elites discovered…

Damn, when did Wansheng Country have so many well-trained Elites! Has Wansheng Country gone mad? By sending so many elites here, what about other places?

What shocked them even more was the colorful-haired masked man, who, when defeating Luo Ze Elites, seemed to wear a faint sneer of disdain.

“That’s the legendary Colorful Hair Masked Man. There’s absolutely no information about him in the data provided by the Empire.”

“Where on earth did he come from, and what’s the deal with this troop? Has Wansheng Country also hidden some of its military strength?”

“To settle Changchuan so swiftly, he must also possess the strength of a General…

No, it is said that the General of East View City and Kui Yi’s troops have suffered at his hands.

This man is undoubtedly an enemy of our Empire.”
