Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 653: Chapter 653 How old are you?

On the plain, Luo Ze’s Tooth General Boko Asa bent down to inspect the Beastman footprints left on the ground, as another pristine snowflake drifted from the sky onto the top of his head.

Snow began to fall again.

In just a few minutes, the plain was obscured, making it difficult to discern the scenery around.

The traces of the Beastman army were gradually buried by the snow.

Rising from the snowy ground, Yajiang Boko Asa stared at the fading footprints in the snow, muttering to himself, “They are lucky, but also terribly unlucky.”

January 20, 415 in the Luoze chronology, Luo Ze Empire Extermination Force No. 015, chasing traces of the Beastman army, were slowly covered by the abrupt snowfall.

But there was no need to worry, as the direction the Beastman Army was heading was precisely the area handled by Extermination Force No. 024.

With plenty of manpower there, as long as they could make contact, they would definitely capture them all.

Summoning the liaison officer, Boko Asa took a device resembling a large brick from the liaison officer’s hand, slid his finger across the interface, and pressed the series number 024.

A typical Crystal Ball would hardly function within the range of a Magic Signal Interferer, but this communicator, resembling a brick, held by the Recovery Army Extermination Force, was an exception.

Thanks to the breakthrough research at the Ruins Research Institute, the Luo Ze Empire was able to quickly deploy troops at this critical junction, adopting this division tactic.

After a series of messy ripples, a young man also dressed in Luo Ze Empire armor appeared on the other end of the box, his head wrapped in a purple turban, looking quite youthful.

From his facial features, it was certain that he was a human.

“This is Extermination Force No. 024, how may I assist you?” the young man asked.

“There is a Beastman army headed in your direction, it’s up to you now.”

“Understood.”

With that, the young man on the other side abruptly ended the communication.

Boko Asa felt nothing amiss, promptly ordering his troops to search within their assigned area for other Beastman armies they could attack.

Fortune favors the bold, and amid the snow, they found another small squad of several hundred Beastmen.

Perhaps because of the falling snow, the howling wind had dispersed the human scent and also masked the sound of human troops approaching. By the time the disoriented Beastman squad noticed, No. 015 had already gotten close enough.

Unfortunately, this Beastman army mostly consisted of agile, speed-type Beastmen, including members of the Silver Teeth Clan, who ran faster than rabbits and disappeared into the snowscape in the blink of an eye.

Boko Asa, leading his troops, chased the footprints not yet covered by the wind and snow, while simultaneously having the liaison officer contact the forward troops.

On the square box appeared a face identical to that of the young man before.

“This is Extermination Force No. 009, what is the matter?”

“Are you kidding me; didn’t I just see you? Aren’t you the liaison officer for No. 024?”

“Huh? Commander, you must have seen my brother. Our troop’s commander is currently engaging with the Beastman army encountered. If there’s anything urgent, please tell me quickly so I can relay it.”

The young man on the screen looked impatient, and occasionally, ‘bam’ noises could be heard in the background. Boko Asa harbored no doubts,

“If you’ve finished your battle, please be aware there’s a highly agile army headed your way, and we are also on our way to you. They also have a giant Silver Wolf, be extremely careful during the battle.”

“Understood.”

The young man then roughly ended the communication.

It seemed that No. 009 was also busy, and orders needed to be relayed to nearby No. 011 to encircle them, and No. 006 should also be alerted to avoid the troop with the Silver Wolf escaping.

Rather than doing things in halves, Boko Asa instructed his soldiers to connect with No. 011’s communication device.

The face that appeared was still that of the young boy, only the color of the turban was different.

How old are you?

Why is it always you?

“This is Extermination Force 011, may I take your orders?”

Boko Asa pinched his nose bridge, “Before we talk business, I have something to ask you.”

“What is it? Please ask.”

“How many brothers do you have in total?”

The young liaison officer on the other end tilted his head and then clapped his hands, saying, “Sir, did you see my other brothers just now when you were contacting us?

It’s not surprising; we often get told we look alike.

If you ask how many brothers I have in total?

There are about six others who look like me.

To facilitate distinction, they have been assigned to different troops.”

“Is that so?” Boko Asa was skeptical, “Forget it, I need to see your commander, Luo Bokai.”

“I’m sorry, sir, our commander is a bit indisposed right now,” the young man’s face showed some difficulty.

“What makes it inconvenient?” Boko Asa pressed.

“Sir, a Beastman Army has appeared here; we need to prepare for battle. After the fight is over, I’ll have the commander call you!”

Having said that, the phone on the other end was completely disconnected.

Boko Asa felt strange. How could he not know if there were really septuplets who looked exactly alike?

Moreover, septuplets, how could one bear to have them split up to be liaison officers? The septuplets should fight together as it embraces their unity and optimizes their strengths.

The more he thought about it, the stranger it seemed. Boko Asa didn’t first call the communication device of Troop 006 but dialed the device of Troop 024 again.

This time, he waited a long time with no response.

During this time, Extermination Force 015, which was on the move, picked up some noises.

Then, they saw the Beastmen, who had just fled, now fearlessly charging towards them.

Boko Asa no longer cared about connecting with Troop 024 and immediately ordered to prepare for battle right there.

In the next instant, they were surrounded by numerous agile Subhumans.

“We have six thousand men! What can a mere few hundred do? How dare these Beastmen encircle us? They’re practically seeking their own death…”

Before Boko Asa could finish, he vaguely felt that something was off about the number of Beastmen.

Their number wasn’t just a thousand; it was far more than two thousand, which was way too many.

After the agile Beastmen had completed the encirclement, several huge Silver Wolves flashed their sharp claws and charged into the Human troops.

“Don’t panic, believe in yourself! Believe in the Empire that trained you! Knock these Beastmen down!”

Under the command of Boko Asa, the Knights of the Luo Ze Empire raised their shields and lifted their swords for defense.

The huge Silver Wolves ferociously pounced on their shields, bringing unprecedented pressure.

These giant Silver Wolves, capable of arm wrestling with huge Snowmen, made them unsure if their mass-produced soldiers could withstand the assault.

Just as the soldiers of the Luo Ze Empire were struggling to hold on, from behind the numerous Silver Wolves, another even more robust Silver Wolf burst out—carrying on its back a middle-aged man with bear ears embracing his furry arms!
