Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 661: Chapter 661: Requesting Support!

He Meng spread out her five fingers, began chanting the spell, and a uniquely pale blue Magic Array formed in her palm; countless electric lights burst forth from it, constituting a ball of electricity that shimmered with electric arcs.

This was no Skill.

Though Bai Jin was trying to simulate a Skill by the name of “Infinite Fireball Technique”.

Originally, Bai Jin had wanted to combine “Frost Ice Arrow” with “Infinite Fireball Technique” to create “Infinite Cold Ice Arrow”.

However, using Ice Magic for attack required the formation of magic ice with a certain mass.

To create an Ice Factory that could continuously produce “Frost Ice Arrow”, one needed to weave Floating Magic into the spell, allocating a portion of Magic Power to support the movement of the Ice Factory.

Building an Ice Factory that could move with her not only complicated the construction of the spell but also increased the consumption of Magic Power.

Choosing “Lightning Arrow” as the main form of attack avoided such troubles, just like with the “Fireball Technique”.

Moreover, based on what Bai Jin had conceived, “Lightning Arrow” had stronger Armor penetration ability compared to “Frost Ice Arrow” and could effectively kill the Heavy Soldiers that Yang Yu had difficulty dealing with.

Hence, Bai Jin chose “Lightning Arrow” as the main element to build her own “Unlimited Lightning Arrow”.

The sphere of electricity continued to draw in surrounding Magic Power, then it functioned like a roaring factory, internally producing one “Lightning Arrow” after another, ready to be unleashed.

Learning other attribute Basic Magic was simple for the present Bai Jin.

Even though she had never used those Basic Magics before, as long as she grasped the essentials, she could easily control them.

This was also the charm of magic.

If Yang Yu had opened his panel and kept staring, he would find that whenever Bai Jin used a new magic, a new Skill would appear in the Skill list.

If Yang Yu asked Bai Jin to try all the magics she could think of and deemed feasible, later on, he might have to scroll through her Skill list for quite a while.

Indeed, in this world, Master Mages are the real masters.

However, learning some Basic Magic was not Bai Jin’s ultimate goal.

Just like creating an atomic bomb required knowledge in countless areas, Bai Jin also wished to handcraft her own… no, wrong, she wanted to create a decisive magic spell unique to herself.

Firmly controlling the sphere of electricity in her hand, the “Lightning Arrows” formed within it shot out like rain, in accordance with Bai Jin’s will, toward the Heavy Knights who were battling Yang Yu and his allies, penetrating their Armor.

Numerous Luo Ze Soldiers suddenly felt intense piercing pain, and if they were not careful, the Beastman Soldiers in front of them would pin them down and land a punch on their heads.

Yang Yu and Dongmu joined forces, combining Skill with Strength, and caused the Humans trying to break through the defensive line to tumble down with their horses.

Countless spells crisscrossed the battlefield, turning into fireworks.

Although the number of Human Magicians was not as high as that of the Beastman Mages, after receiving uniform and formal magic training, the Human Magicians were not at all inferior in terms of magic collision and Defense.

The Beastmen were not only difficult to coordinate but also wasted excess firepower due to various situations, hence they struggled to generate pressure from the front.

Following Bai Jin’s troops, a number of Beastman Mages also started to flank and attack the sidelines under the cover of their forces.

If magic attacks only came from one side, Luo Ze Empire’s soldiers could still concentrate and defend, but if the enemy’s magic attacks were dispersed from all directions, it became difficult for them to focus on defense, forcing some Magicians to protect the flanks, which inevitably increased the pressure on the front lines.

Chui Ye ordered the Light Cavalry to carry out breakout raids, intending to eliminate any bold Beastman Mages who dared to stray from their troops.

However, in the winter, these cavalrymen were simply no match for the Beastmen.

The simple charges and bites from Lotcar left the attacking Luo Ze soldiers falling off their horses, while Iyas continually drew her bow, sending Light Arrows piercing through the bodies of Soldiers, delivering finishing blows.

Even if one or two enemies slipped through and made it to their lines, He Meng would step forward, using her lithe body to block their advance.

The situation started to become one-sided.

Chui Ye frantically commanded and dispatched orders, but no matter what he did he couldn’t prevent breaches from forming one after another.

With equal numbers, the coordinated Human Soldiers were not afraid of the Beastman Soldiers.

But in the harsh winter, defeating Beastman forces that outnumbered them by one to two times was a hopeless bet.

Seeing his soldiers fall one by one, Chui Ye finally couldn’t contain his roar: “Damn it! The liaison officer! Where is the liaison officer? How much longer until reinforcements arrive? Tell me!”

The curly-haired contactor tried to reach numerous assisting units, but all the dialed numbers remained unanswered.

“006, 009… no response, I will now attempt to contact other units! Unit 011 is also… not replying.”

The contact failed to establish, and the curly-haired liaison officer shook his head.

There was just one unit left to contact…

Other units, farther away, wouldn’t be known how long they’d take to arrive even if contacted now to alleviate the crisis.

Left with no choice, the liaison officer tried to dial the last number, silently praying someone would answer.

After a while, an anxious face appeared on the Crystal Ball, and before the curly-haired liaison officer could speak, the other party cut in.

“This is Unit 008! We request support! We’ve encountered a tough Beastman Army!”

“What happened? What’s going on over there?”

“On our march, we discovered a disrupted device and realized that it had just been destroyed, so we searched around, hoping to find any suspicious individuals.

Not long after that, we ran into a Beastman Army!

We engaged in fierce combat, and their numbers were nearly equal to ours, putting us at a disadvantage!

We’ve tried to contact nearby units many times without any success!

We need support, or else we’ll have no choice but to surrender!”

The other liaison officer yelled into the square box, while magical spells and the continuous sounds of combat could be seen and heard in his surroundings.

Unit 008 from the Extermination Force was no longer an option.

But what concerned the curly-haired liaison officer wasn’t the nature of the Beastman Army Unit 008 was fighting against; he was more concerned about the person mentioned by the liaison officer on the other end, who had destroyed the device.

If internal traitors in the past had been covert, now they had exposed themselves, and with a little effort, they could be completely rooted out.

This message must be sent back!

Ignoring Chui Ye’s shouts, the curly-haired contactor executed orders of higher priority, opening an empty folder, drew a character, and contacted the command post in Benliang City.
