Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 675: Chapter 675: Let’s Make a Big Scene

Yang Yu’s actions had thoroughly enraged Fred; all he wanted now was to catch Yang Yu and crush him to dust.

Lifting his leg, Fred stomped heavily on the ground, causing the earth to roar once more and nearly making the soldiers of the two countries, who were fighting not far from Fred, stumble from the force.

With his palm outstretched, Fred lunged toward Yang Yu and his group.

To avoid getting hit at the same time, Dongmu and Yang Yu split up, causing Fred to miss again.

Ignoring the fleeing Dongmu, Fred winded up his right fist, and countless snowballs formed around him.

As he launched “Avalanche,” Fred also threw a punch toward Yang Yu.

These snowballs happened to be within the attack range of the Beastman Mage, and a few Beastmen concentrated their fire to blast the giant snowballs into numerous small ones instantly.

Light on his feet and deft in his movements, Yang Yu once again dodged Fred’s attack.

However, the assault was far from over.

The magic power in the air condensed rapidly, and a white icy surface spread swiftly from the point where Fred’s punch landed toward Yang Yu’s feet, with numerous ice cones piercing through the ice without warning.

This time, Fred had unleashed “Frost Shock.”

Originally, “Frost Shock” was just a normal physical move with an ice attribute, but under the enhancement of the Giant Power within Fred, the skill underwent a radical transformation.

Sidestepping the growing ice cones, Yang Yu finally chose a stout one to leverage himself with one hand, landing both feet firmly on the ice cone.

Activating “Climbing,” he adhered to the ice cone, and Yang Yu’s entire body followed it into the air.

Catching sight of Yang Yu’s figure, Fred raised his left hand and smashed it toward the rising piles of ice.

With a cracking sound, the ice shards instantly shattered into countless razor-sharp, transparent ice crystals, and Yang Yu quickly retreated along the ice cone, leaping from the tip,

“He Meng, help block the damage!”

Hearing Yang Yu’s voice and before He Meng could respond, Yang Yu tossed him forward gently.

With no room to refuse, He Meng used Slime’s extended traits to spread his body out like a big pancake, curling inward and executing the skill “Iron Wall,” transforming into a sturdy protective shield in front of Yang Yu.

The shattered ice crystals hit He Meng as if raindrops on an umbrella.

Fred’s attack didn’t stop; seeing that the ice shards failed to hit Yang Yu, he opened his mouth wide and a pale blue light converged inside, a cold breath shooting directly toward Yang Yu.

Having just landed on the snowfield, Yang Yu didn’t choose to dodge. Instead, he buried his feet through the snow, firmly into the ground, adjusted his angle, and then used “Climbing” to stabilize his stance,

“He Meng, move aside.”

He Meng’s body rapidly contracted, returning to its spherical shape. The blue light skimmed past its body and struck directly at Yang Yu.

Raising his shield, a strange light flashed across the surface of Yang Yu’s shield, which suddenly turned into a massive mirror, reflecting the incoming pale blue light back in the direction of the recently afflicted Luo Ze Group Army.

The pale blue column of light pierced through the trench and crashed into the wall of Benliang City, freezing all objects in its path, sprouting ice spikes.

Fred stood agape, sneaking a glance at Wulan, who was locked in combat with Snow Leopard Ice Spring.

Wulan’s expressions were obscured by the helmet, but Fred could tell from the slowing of her attacks that she too was startled by the reflected light beam.

This sudden and fearful counterattack was, to say the least, a substantial blow to the morale of the Luo Ze Empire’s Army.

What’s more, the damage to the troops had been caused by one of their own.

This was the epitome of a “giant blunder.”

Fred couldn’t help but feel embarrassed; in such a short time, he had been completely outmaneuvered by the young man before him.

Raising his hand once more, Fred brewed up an even more complex attack, hoping to once again try to squash Yang Yu into the ground and freeze him into a block of ice.

However, Yang Yu had vanished from his sight.

Yang Yu hadn’t used any skills, simply timing his move when Fred’s attention lapsed, darting under his arm and heading straight for the Luo Ze Empire’s troops.

Looking around, Fred finally spotted Yang Yu’s trace, realizing his intent.

“Using the Luo Ze’s troops as a cover to protect yourself, so that I can’t strike?” Fred bared his teeth, unwilling to accept that he truly couldn’t strike at Yang Yu.

Fred’s form swelled with each attack, turning every strike into a wide-area AOE skill.

This indiscriminate type of attack, even if it could successfully hit Yang Yu, would inevitably come at a great cost.

“Damn it, I’ll let the humans handle you. If you dare to dodge my attacks like this, then brace yourself for being surrounded and hunted by humans!”

Enraged, Fred turned away from Yang Yu and focused on the Beastman Army that kept attacking him, directing his anger at them.

After retreating a distance, Dongmu quickly rallied his elite troops to engage the Snowmen for a second time.

The last batch of troops, those under Ajiket, had also sprung into action.

They had timed the end of the Snowmen’s “Heavenly God’s Descent” perfectly and charged into the battlefield during the brief interlude between the cannonades from the city walls.

Fred no longer caring, Yang Yu’s maneuvers became increasingly bold.

With superior speed and agile movements to evade the slashes and skills of one soldier after another, Yang Yu focused on finishing off the Luo Ze soldiers who had been weakened in combat with the Wansheng Country soldiers, gaining Experience.

He also took the opportunity to scope out weak points in the Luo Ze Empire’s defenses.

With the Illusion Shield unfurled before him, whipping up a red gust of wind, Yang Yu pierced through the defenses of the Luo Ze Empire’s left flank like a bullet, creating a broad path for his troops.

“Red Blood Path” was a skill designed to break open enemy formations, and Yang Yu demonstrated this perfectly.

Of course, this skill was not without its flaws.

First and foremost, the skill demands the user to possess considerable strength.

Only then could they avoid being interrupted during its execution and truly plow through the enemy lines like a trencher, breaking even the strongest walls.

Secondly, one must control the distance of usage well, to avoid diving too deeply into enemy ranks and getting encircled.

For the first flaw, Yang Yu made it a point to pick on the easier targets.

Due to rules set by the giant dragons, many officers weren’t as strong as him anyway.

As for the second flaw… that’s exactly why Yang Yu brought He Meng with him.

As expected, after Yang Yu infiltrated the heart of the Luo Ze Group Army, countless soldiers immediately surrounded him.

But with He Meng by his side, Yang Yu didn’t have to worry about getting in without a way out.

He Meng was a Slime, and truly a blessing.

Looking up, Yang Yu scanned the surrounding soldiers, checking each one’s Status and class, and like threading a needle, he wove through the Luo Ze Empire’s army, creating havoc.
