Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Ten times.

The gap between the Edge Star Realm and the Prosperous Star Realm is this vast.

This is determined by the level of development of the Star Realm itself; the more prosperous the area, the more advanced the research on ships, the more ship factories there are, and thus the better the quality of the ships produced. This is unavoidable.

And precisely because of the limitations imposed by economic and environmental conditions on the combat power of the border compared to the interior, the Empire has established a Star Realm United Battle Zone system.

This system, which mandates the Prosperous Star Realm to provide ship support to the Edge Star Realm, benefits the Edge Star Realm.

Of course, this is not important now.

What is important is that Chen Ming can estimate the number of ships in the Mechanical Race based on these numbers.

Based on the approximate number of combat ships in different Star Realms, the size of the Mechanical Race Star Realm, and his understanding of the development level of the Mechanical Race,

Chen Ming first set a median value for the warfare strength of the Mechanical Race Star Realm between the combat strength of the Edge Star Realm and the Prosperous Star Realm.

Which means six Main Ships and twenty thousand Cruisers as the main force, with the number of Destroyers being multiplied by about ten, and Frigates on the basis of Destroyers being two to five times that.

Then, on this basis, multiply the number of Main Ships and Cruisers, which are the main ships in the war, by 1.5 to 2.

This should be the real number.

About ten Main Ships, around thirty-five thousand Cruisers, and two hundred thousand Destroyers and forty to one million Frigates.

This is most likely the fleet size of a Mechanical Race Star Realm when facing an impending war.

Of course, due to Chen Ming’s uncertainty about the number of reinforcements from the foreign Mechanical Race Star Realm, he simply added four Main Ships roughly.

Other estimates should not be far off.

Compared to the entire Empire, the estimated combat power of the Mechanical Race Star Realm seems insignificant, but war isn’t just about size.

Especially for the Empire’s proactively initiated external wars.

The scale of the Mechanical Race Star Realm is enough for the Empire to take it seriously.

A victory might seem certain, but the losses during the process must also be considered.

Issues like strategic depth, external support, and top-tier weapons are all under the consideration of the war commanders, and they are all quite troublesome.

If even the Empire finds it troublesome, Chen Ming certainly can’t solve it easily.

However, for Chen Ming, medium and small ships are not a big deal.

No matter how many medium and small ships there are, what difference does it make? They are nothing in front of Cruisers.

As for the Mechanical Race’s Cruisers.

Among ships of the same level, Chen Ming really can’t find many that can rival the Insect Race’s Cruisers, certainly not the Mechanical Race’s ships.

Moreover, there’s a gap of several times in the number of Cruisers, and if Chen Ming wishes, this gap can be expanded to dozens of times.

So the only trouble worth Chen Ming’s consideration is the Mechanical Race’s Main Ships and the Main Level weapons they possess.

Main Ships are always a significant trouble.

Because there is a huge gap in strength between Cruisers and Main Ships.

Even if there’s only one Main Ship, relying solely on a quantity of Cruisers to win, the loss would be incredibly severe.

Not to mention that the Mechanical Race is not foolish; they wouldn’t send Main Ships out alone.

And if the Mechanical Race’s Main Ships do not disperse, then relying on Cruisers alone is absolutely impossible to overwhelm them.

Of course, Chen Ming is not that wasteful.

He has different combat strategy choices with such a number of Cruisers, and there’s no need to insist on a head-on confrontation with the Mechanical Race.

He already has a nascent idea for a specific plan in his mind.

A plan modified from the original blueprint devised by the Mechanical Queen.

However, before executing the specifics, he has to first use this many Insect Race Cruisers to help the Pioneer Fleet retreat.

To prevent the position of the temporary base from being discovered by the Mechanical Race during the battle between Chen Ming and the Mechanical Race, resulting in the Mechanical Race making a desperate suicide attack.

Chen Ming felt that if given a chance, the Mechanical Race would not hesitate to warp all its Cruisers and Main Ships to Chen Ming’s Pioneer base to explode.

Hence, securing his position takes precedence.

With the aid of a vast fleet and countless diligent Worker Insects that only follow orders, the relocation and packing of resources do not take much time.

Tasks that originally required days to prepare were fully completed in just a few hours.

Everything from the two colonies was packed and loaded onto the ships.

Next, to avoid the war’s impact, these Insect Race and Dusk ships will make three consecutive warp transitions.

Transitioning directly from what was to be the fourth extreme-distance warp point to the position originally intended for the seventh extreme warp.

There are still seven warp transitions left to reach the destination originally chosen by Chen Ming when selecting the route.

The journey is halfway done.

Reaching the area ravaged by the Phase Giant Beasts would take just three extreme warps for the Empire, which requires a full three days.

The difficulty of quickly reaching a location seven extreme warp distances away is imaginable.

Moreover, Thousand Faces’ warps are traceable,

because from the Empire’s direction, there is only one way to avoid crossing the Mechanical Race or Dusk territory.

The warp wouldn’t deviate much.

However, after a few warps, the subsequent warp routes are completely without a traceable path.

It is safe enough.

Seeing the innumerable Insect Race ships, Chen Ming suddenly thought that at least in terms of fleet numbers, he is certainly not at any disadvantage.
