Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”What does this mean?”

Chen Ming was stunned.

He couldn’t quite see what had just happened.

However, his spiritual energy still allowed him to perceive the specifics of the situation that had just occurred.

Simply put, the Phase Giant Beast didn’t slow down as it approached Chen Ming’s robot, and directly collided with it, shattering it.

And through the remnants of Chen Ming’s spiritually controlled substance at the scene, Chen Ming could still hear the deep-sea cries filled with questioning tones.

It seemed to be puzzled about why the thing that attracted it had disappeared.

Apparently, it didn’t notice Chen Ming’s robot.

It was as if a person was attracted by the sound of an ant, but while walking towards it, didn’t perceive the ant’s presence, and directly crushed it by stepping on it.

In Chen Ming’s hypothesis, maybe it was too far to hear the specific origin of the sound, and the Phase Giant Beast in front of him probably couldn’t clearly sense the position of Chen Ming’s robot through the phase space.

Alternatively, it might be that what interested the Phase Giant Beast was actually Chen Ming himself, but Chen Ming’s real self wasn’t present here, so the Phase Giant Beast couldn’t clearly perceive him.

That was probably the situation.

In any case, Chen Ming somewhat reluctantly created another new robot at a nearby location.

Upon hearing the Phase Giant Beast’s sound through this robot, the Phase Giant Beast seemed to sense the existence of his robot again and flew towards Chen Ming’s new robot.

However, the outcome was indistinguishable from before.

The Phase Giant Beast still didn’t notice Chen Ming’s robot and once again collided with it without slowing down.

Chen Ming, somewhat disbelieving, thought about directly creating a robot on the Phase Giant Beast.

But although the space the Phase Giant Beast occupied appeared empty, the Phase Giant Beast itself existed there, making it impossible for Chen Ming to create a robot.

Furthermore, there seemed to be some kind of special field around the Phase Giant Beast’s body, making it impossible for Chen Ming’s spiritual energy to affect it, except to maintain a distance of about tens of meters to create a new robot.

After considering for a moment, Chen Ming chose to create in the air above the Phase Giant Beast’s head.

Once the creation was complete, the robot would land on the Phase Giant Beast’s back, or approximately that position.

However, as Chen Ming’s robot heard the Phase Giant Beast’s sound again and the Phase Giant Beast also perceived Chen Ming again,

it reflexively flipped and rolled around on the ground, crushing the robot into pieces.

”...”

Listening to the confused sound after the Phase Giant Beast once again lost complete and clear perception of Chen Ming, Chen Ming fell silent.

He could discern from the Phase Giant Beast’s sound that it wasn’t absolutely aggressive, and such anger and fear weren’t directed at him.

But they couldn’t communicate or make contact at the moment.

There was no way to prevent the Phase Giant Beast from continuing to act foolishly.

Perhaps it’s better to temporarily give up on this side.

Chen Ming felt that he should see if there might be an opportunity to quickly acquire a Phase Ship from the Ship Research Institute, attempting to use the Phase Ship to enter the phase space and make contact with the Phase Giant Beast.

If they were both in the phase space, the Phase Giant Beast might be able to clearly perceive the position of his robot.

To take advantage of the Phase Giant Beast’s current confusion, Chen Ming hurriedly accelerated his actions, piloting the Shuttle Boat to the now-territory of the second Mechanical Race colony just abandoned by the Giant Beast.

The armed forces of the Mechanical Race here had almost been completely destroyed, and Chen Ming could easily control the entire colony.

And in this place, Chen Ming likewise found a new spiritual mechanical creature with destructive spiritual energy.

Its appearance was somewhat different from the second and third ones.

Chen Ming decided to send this destructive mechanical spiritual creature away and conduct research later.

Soon, in the colony that was mostly a ruined area.

Chen Ming once again found the control center of the colony.

After borrowing some equipment from the Mechanical Race again, Chen Ming was somewhat disappointed not to find another mechanical spiritual creature conversion facility.

The entire planet had only one facility among the three colonies, and this single facility was greatly damaged.

This made Chen Ming quite troubled.

He originally thought the other two colonies would have this facility as well.

If not, then he’d really have to use the remaining one-third of that facility to conduct experiments.

Reluctantly, Chen Ming tried a final search using the remaining metal liquid from the two colonies scattered across the planet.

But of course, ended up empty-handed.

Thus, it was time to retreat.

Before leaving, Chen Ming confirmed the position of the Phase Giant Beast once more.

It seemed to return to its own affairs after the recent confusion.

After turning around and ravaging the ruins of the second colony again, it went towards the location of the third colony.

However, Chen Ming had already used spiritual energy to take away the intact third colony and all the Mechanical Race entities on it.

So judging by the sound it made, the Phase Giant Beast was likely hovering above the original site of the third colony.

By the sound of it, it seemed to be puzzled and confused again.

But after closely examining the relocated site of the third colony, there was a hint of excitement in its voice.

Chen Ming wasn’t entirely sure, but it was likely such an emotion.

Chen Ming made one last attempt to create a robot to make contact with the Phase Giant Beast, but unfortunately, the result was the same as before.
