Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

In summary, the Mechanical Race created the Destruction Core and derivative Destructive Spiritual Energy Essence from the converted Dimensional Infection Entity.

Later, this Destructive Spiritual Energy Essence became part of the Mechanical Enlightenment Nerve’s content.

These Destruction Enlightenment Nerves, carrying part of the Dimensional Infection power, naturally lead to infection when implanted into ordinary organisms.

The Mechanical Race probably sees the infection process as a process of assimilation.

Once assimilation is complete, these dimensionally-infected organisms are sent to the mechanical spiritual creature conversion facilities, becoming what Chen Ming saw.

Fortunately, after second conversion, the remaining Destructive Spiritual Energy Essence is merely Spiritual Energy Essence, no longer having any dimensional infection’s corrosive power.

Otherwise, Chen Ming would still have to worry about the dimensional infection marking issue.

As for the Mechanical Race’s conversion facility for mechanical spiritual creatures, and the technology to convert spiritual creatures into spiritual cores... they seem somewhat dangerous.

Dangerous in two ways.

One danger is that it indicates the Mechanical Race near the Empire still has connections with those further away, implying the Empire might face more than one Star Realm in their war against the Mechanical Race.

The other danger pertains to the Empire’s psychic threat within its realm.

Humans are also creatures. Chen Ming doesn’t believe this conversion facility wouldn’t work on humans.

It’s just that humans or humanoid beings are somewhat special, which is why the Shimmering Civilization, which is undoubtedly connected to ”humans,” specifically researched the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor device aimed at human psychics.

Chen Ming often hesitated to think too much about such matters, but now he finds it hard not to.

This spiritual core can extract the spiritual core from psychics, enabling mass production of various inferior psychics, and can even recycle previously psychic mechanical enlightenment nerves.

The emergence of this technology poses a severe threat to the existence of psychics.

Even more dangerous than the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor.

It must be sealed away, and Chen Ming absolutely cannot allow it to fall into the Empire’s hands.

Chen Ming has one more question in his mind: after the Mechanical Race converted the Dimensional Infection Entity, where did the most important Destruction Core go?

Chen Ming asked the Mechanical Queen about it.

The Mechanical Queen directly gave Chen Ming a blueprint.

A blueprint for the main weapon of the Mechanical Race, the Spine Peak Cannon Head.

”Wow, giving away everything, huh?”

Chen Ming remarked in amazement.

The Mechanical Queen did not respond.

Because it is only mechanical and merely follows orders.

It seems that anything related to the Mechanical Race that is unclear could potentially be clarified from the Mechanical Queen.

Not all questions may be answered, but most certainly could.

Chen Ming thought about this and carefully examined the blueprint.

If the Mechanical Queen could provide him a blueprint, it implies the Mechanical Race utilized the Destruction Core in the weapon on the blueprint, which is a rather understandable use case.

However, Chen Ming suddenly frowned.

The Spine Peak Cannon Head blueprint he was viewing wasn’t the same new weapon the Empire’s investigation had been aware of, as mentioned by He Gu recently.

It was a genuinely new weapon, unknown to the Empire.

Spine Peak Cannon Head: Destruction.

This is quite terrifying.

Given that the known new spiritual weapon owned by the Mechanical Race, finding out that there’s an even more threatening weapon hidden is alarming.

Although the scraps of Destruction Enlightenment Nerves might not matter much to Chen Ming, they are already ”destructive” enough for ordinary people.

A main weapon-level destruction for the main ship... that’s seriously fatal.

And it’s likely not just about destruction; if the Destruction Core is installed, it’s Destruction. What about installing other cores? What effect would that yield?

Wait.

Chen Ming suddenly realized he might have come across something significant. If other spiritual cores could also be installed on weapons with similar designs,

it suggests the new mechanical race weapon the Empire investigated might just be one among a batch of such weapons.

The mechanical race deliberately released information about only one weapon, making the Empire think they only have that one new weapon.

The rest are kept hidden, to be unleashed for severe impact on the Empire when needed.

Chen Ming promptly sent a copy of the document to the legions’ construct.

He must alert them, this... this kind of destructive spiritual weapon information must be known.

After urgently sending the document to Bai Quan, Chen Ming immediately received a call from Bai Quan.

”What did you just send?”

Chen Ming replied, ”I can’t say much more, but I can only tell you that this is all real intelligence, the Mechanical Race definitely has more than one new weapon.”

”And don’t ask me anything, I don’t want to say anything more.”

”Got it, thanks.”

Bai Quan didn’t press further, thanked him, and then directly hung up the call.

He had grown accustomed to Chen Ming suddenly springing unexpected surprises.

Just take it; Chen Ming surely wouldn’t harm him, right?

Chen Ming looked at the phone that was decisively hung up, estimating that Bai Quan must be busy for a few days,

so he simply turned off his terminal.

After all, what he provided was real, and those mechanical race weapon designs were real too.
