Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chen Ming’s gaze focused on the Insect Hive Planet, which now appeared pockmarked even from space due to the shallow insect nests being transformed.

At this moment, many areas of the Insect Hive Planet have already exposed the deep layers of bedrock beneath the crust.

But that doesn’t mean the coverage of the deep insect nest is small.

On the contrary, the remaining deep insect nests far surpass those shallow ones that have been transformed into energy crystals and become Insect Race Cruisers.

It’s just that they are all deep underground, continuously providing endless energy to the Insect Race in space.

What’s more remarkable is this.

Chen Ming, in addition to that massive fleet of a hundred thousand Insect Race Cruisers overshadowing the skies above the Insect Hive Planet,

can create three more fleets of the same size, or even larger.

But there’s no need for that.

The primary function of deep insect nests is to absorb the planet’s nutrients and provide them to shallow insect nests for nurturing new individuals.

That’s why Chen Ming lets the Insect Queen retain and crazily expand the deep insect nests.

Allowing the insects here to transform the entire planet into nutrients for the Insect Race.

And the energy crystals produced by these insect nests will be directly sent to those launching Insect Race Warships through the influence of spiritual energy.

This wasn’t done by Chen Ming using his spiritual energy, but rather due to the Insect Queen’s evolution after devouring an Immortal Spirit Tree Seed, mastering the more powerful ability to coordinate and use spiritual energy.

The Insect Queen can now dispatch a small amount of Chen Ming’s spiritual energy effects like a Ship Spirit, providing immense logistical support to the Insect Race.

Just the existence of these energy crystals is enough for these ships to undergo binary fission and form an identical fleet of Insect Race.

And as long as the deep insect nests parasitizing the planet remain, and the planet itself still exists, this logistical support can be said to be infinite.

The Insect Race can utterly devour a planet, annihilate all life on it, to manufacture one terrifying fleet after another.

This is the Insect Race.

This is truly the Insect Race.

Then how did the Insect Race come close to extinction before? Was it because they lacked warships or combat methods?

Oh, no.

Thinking carefully, it’s actually quite reasonable that the Insect Race was close to extinction.

The current Insect Queen underwent several transformations with Chen Ming’s spiritual energy and evolved multiple times by consuming a large amount of biological and spiritual creatures, even devouring an Immortal Spirit Tree Seed in the final instance to evolve into its current state.

Its strength is absolutely on a completely different level, possibly even a different reality from the previous Insect Race.

Especially since the previous Insect Race could only consume some minerals as nutrition.

But now the Insect Race can directly consume all inorganic substances like soil and rock as nutrition, with extremely exaggerated efficiency.

The current Insect Race can almost convert everything into nutrition, and that’s the most terrifying aspect.

Yet Chen Ming suddenly remembered the previous generation Insect Queen.

It had mastered the ability to transform mechanical battleships into biological battleships earlier.

Even if it may not be as strong as the descendants it birthed, it slipped out of everyone’s view, and no one knows where and what it’s doing.

Additionally, even though it doesn’t have Chen Ming’s spiritual energy for self-improvement, if the number of Insect Race units increases, solely relying on mutation and evolution, perhaps it might also have the possibility to achieve such an effect.

If the runaway first-generation Insect Queen really accomplished these tasks, things would become a bit complicated.

Never mind, now is not the time to consider such matters.

Chen Ming reined in his wandering thoughts.

At least with this current magnitude, and if needed later, he can continue to exponentially increase the number of Insect Race Cruisers at a terrifying speed.

Chen Ming can rest easier for now.

Still, it is not enough.

With such a massive fleet of the Insect Race, Chen Ming has gained the qualification to confront the Mechanical Race directly, but that does not necessarily mean having the same combat power.

Previously, Chen Ming obtained the Mechanical Race’s defense plans from the Mechanical Queen, knowing the Mechanical Race has at least two main ships and tens of thousands of cruisers, with countless other ships.

However, he believes the fleet size of the Mechanical Race is definitely not limited to that.

There are always some fleets serving as reserve forces and mobile fleets.

Moreover, in the Mechanical Race Star Realm, this area scheduled to engage in battle with the Empire, the number of Mechanical Race reserve forces and mobile fleets might very well exceed those deployed in defense.

Therefore, under uncertain conditions, he needs to use some other data as reference.

Chen Ming remembers some combat strengths of the Empire Star Realm.

For instance, the standard combat power of the Edge Star Realm is one main ship accompanied by roughly three thousand cruiser-level combat power, tens of thousands of destroyers, and even more guards.

The previous state of the Gallo Star Realm was such, only due to internal corruption the main ships fell into disrepair, a large batch of cruisers were left unattended, and many cruisers were spread across different places in the Star Realm, hence appearing defenselessly weak.

Now things have greatly improved.

Bai Quan’s division has taken over the original military, with one Offensive Level and one Legion Level two main ships constantly stationed here.

A large number of cruisers, after maintenance or reconstruction, have been incorporated into the military, significantly surpassing the standard combat power of the Edge Star Realm.

But compared to the Prosperous Star Realm, it’s still inadequate; the fleet combat power in the Prosperous Star Realm simply multiplies tenfold on the standard basis of the Edge Star Realm.
