Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

So Chen Ming considered for a moment and continued to make perplexed sounds.

The Phase Giant Beast also returned a confused signal to Chen Ming via its tentacles.

However, the human and the beast did not fall into a deadlock of mutual questioning.

The Phase Giant Beast moved its enormous eyeballs slightly, and its huge body slowly levitated, circling around Chen Ming’s robot.

The two tentacles on its head shook slightly, emitting a somewhat brighter purple light.

But this time, Chen Ming did not hear any sound or feel anything; he could only continue to make puzzled sounds.

The Phase Giant Beast suddenly seemed to understand something, skillfully rubbing its forehead with its tentacles, in a gesture similar to humans scratching their heads.

Its tentacles scratched off a few scales, which fell in front of Chen Ming’s robot.

Then, the Phase Giant Beast abruptly ascended, leaving the planetary gravity’s confines.

A burst of purple light erupted from its body, and it vanished from Chen Ming’s sight.

It had jumped away.

It left only Chen Ming’s robot, crushed to the ground by the powerful airwaves upon its ascension.

”?”

Now Chen Ming was truly puzzled.

The Phase Giant Beast’s sudden departure had no reason; it certainly wasn’t triggered by Chen Ming’s question marks but by some other reason.

Chen Ming could not match the speed of the Phase Giant Beast, and the transition waves in the Phase Space also quickly smoothed out by the medium that just rolled out.

He couldn’t even use the transition traces for tracking.

He completely lost the trail of the Phase Giant Beast.

However, Chen Ming suddenly realized something, quickly instructing the robot to search nearby for the Phase Giant Beast’s scales blown away by the airwaves.

Though Chen Ming’s robot was in a normal cosmic environment, things from Phase Space exist in normal cosmic conditions, only invisible.

Using the reconnaissance of space Phase Ships, Chen Ming quickly found three Phase Giant Beast scales, two blue and one purple, each about the size of a human head.

The Phase Giant Beast intentionally left these behind.

Because the Phase Giant Beast had wandered the Mechanical Race’s domain for so long, continuously destroying their buildings and units with its body, yet left no scales behind.

Even the place where the Mechanical Race’s Phase Weapon attacked the Phase Giant Beast left nothing behind.

If it could leave scales behind, it must be something intentionally left.

It must have some purpose.

However, Chen Ming didn’t know what these scales meant, nor if the Phase Giant Beast would return.

He had no way to find out.

But the acquisition of these three scales was tangible; after the Insect Queen awakens from evolution, he can feed the scales to it.

These scales certainly contain the genes of the Phase Giant Beast.

Chen Ming continued to let the robot wait in place for a while, but even as the remaining units of the Mechanical Race came to encircle his robot, the Phase Giant Beast still did not return.

Chen Ming could only give up waiting and temporarily depart from there.

In the blink of an eye, two days had passed.

The Legion’s fleet finally reached the Mechanical Race Star System after frequent transitions.

It seemed the Mechanical Race had already given up protecting this Star System, with no reinforcements along the way, allowing it to fend for itself.

Only the Mechanical Race individuals not completely destroyed on the planet resisted stubbornly, but were completely annihilated about ten minutes after the Legion’s fleet arrived.

The Legion’s fleet immediately spread out to process everything belonging to the Mechanical Race in the Star System.

Everything of value was carried away by the Legion.

All data of the Star System’s planets were recorded by the Legion.

Even a few nearby Star Systems were surveyed by the Legion, but it seemed the Mechanical Race really abandoned it; the Legion caused so much commotion without eliciting any response.

The Legion’s fleet couldn’t linger long behind enemy lines; after a day of taking what needed taking, they left some interesting things, and chose to make their getaway.

And just on the same day that the Legion’s fleet reached the backside of the Mechanical Race Star System.

Chen Ming received two pieces of news.

One was the news that Bai Quan would return to the front line in a week.

This signified one thing.

The Empire and the Mechanical Race’s direct war was about to begin.

And the other was a message from the president.

The Phase Space Dimensional Infection Interaction Experiment was ready.

To be precise, it had already started, even possibly concluded.

Because just the day before, the president had successfully captured the Dimensional Infection Entity in the Cai Mo Star Realm using his Spiritual Energy.

And at the moment of capture, the president sent the entity directly into Phase Space, validating everything Chen Ming said was true.

The Dimensional Infection Entity entering Phase Space would be suppressed, killed by the power of the entire space, unable to survive.

However, because the president could gain no valuable data by doing it this way, he specifically held onto the entity for two more days.

Waiting for other ship research institutions to ready the Phase Ship, waiting for Chen Ming to deliver the ship near the Cai Mo Star Realm, and using a Phase Ship equipped with various detection devices to send the Dimensional Infection Entity into Phase Space.

The president is currently doing just this, and a small period of time will yield results.

And the result will certainly be the same.

But the process will be somewhat different.

Vast amounts of data will be gathered, enough to prove everything Chen Ming previously said was correct.
