High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1939: Chapter 160: Hunting Target

Zheng Qing should have anticipated this kind of situation.

After all, both Dylan and Blue Bird come from Starry Sky Academy, and in the Jiuyou People’s context, the ’barbarians’ of Starry Sky symbolize energy and restlessness, violence and fists, fractures and nosebleeds.

Expecting them to behave as orderly and obedient as the Jiuyou People is truly a fantasy. But now, it seems that those who agree with Dylan’s opinion aren’t just the two hunters from Starry Sky Academy.

”Do others think the same way?”

The young scholarship student looked around and indeed saw some hesitation in Xin and Zhang Ji Xin’s eyes, while Jiang Yu was full of hope. Clearly, the last two somewhat bland training sessions were a bit dull.

The captain of the Absolution Hunting Team pulled out the finger tucked in his belt, crossed his arms, and cautiously asked, ”Do you have any good suggestions?”

Dylan seemed to have thought of something long ago, snapping his fingers and pointing toward the direction where the Banshee was wailing.

”That Banshee.”

He confidently looked at Xiao Xiao: ”Just now during your conversation, you confirmed one thing, that the Banshee wasn’t part of the Hunting team’s plans, right?”

The Diviner silently confirmed Mister Wolfman’s judgment.

Dylan nodded in satisfaction: ”Easy, tonight our target is that Banshee... Catch it and turn it in to the patrol team, and no one can say anything... Who told it to howl wildly on campus at night?”

Zheng Qing wanted to emphasize that this hunting ground is at the school’s protection range edge, belonging to the ’gray area,’ so even if the Banshee howled wildly, it didn’t violate the Campus Management Regulations. But seeing the eager expressions of the other hunters, the Warlock wisely swallowed this detail.

However, not everyone was satisfied with Dylan’s suggestion.

”Just this?” Zhang Ji Xin touched his chin and asked.

Mister Wolfman spread his arms, looking puzzled at the Red-faced Male Wizard, unsure if he really missed something.

The main hunter of the Absolution showed a different stance, supplementing his doubts: ”We change the original plan, run into the depths of the hunting ground late at night, just to catch a Banshee?”

”One Banshee is enough.” Zheng Qing vaguely sensed Elder Zhang Da’s intention, hurriedly speaking up, trying to block the dam breaking.

But it was too late.

The two hunters from Starry Sky Academy’s eyes lit up simultaneously, like two dogs caught by a flashlight—Zheng Qing could understand Dylan’s eyes glowing, given his special bloodline. But Blue Bird’s glowing eyes, what’s going on? Is this the legendary swordsmanship deep pursuit, virtual room white, gaze like electricity?

”Not enough.” Student Bluebird rarely took the initiative to speak.

”Indeed not enough,” Dylan laughed and added, full of apology: ”I was careless... Surely we aren’t just busy all night for a measly Banshee, being a hunting team that once mixed in the Black Prison battlefield. That’s too degrading.”

”It’s a Banshee.” Zheng Qing weakly corrected.

He had already realized that the situation in front of him seemed somewhat out of control, he wanted everyone to continue with the previous plan, practicing tactics and formation honestly, yet somehow couldn’t say it.

Because even he noticed the blandness of the last two training sessions.

Wild at heart, can’t always be caged—Zheng Qing comforted himself inside—and also continuing ’blandness’ seemed not much help in improving the hunting team’s ability. Could he really go to the study room and have everyone recite the latest hunting competition rules?

”What do you think?” Zheng Qing looked at the Red-faced Male Wizard.

Zhang Ji Xin touched his short hair, grinning: ”I think it’s not good to always let Furry Bean and Tuan Tuan help... That group of Getrassi is also a nice prey, fast-running, sly, and wicked enough.”

”Furry Bean doesn’t mind the hassle at all.” Zheng Qing tried a last struggle.

”Meow!”

A familiar ’bark’ suddenly rang in Zheng Qing’s ear, he looked down and saw the gray-skinned dog was squatting at his feet, sticking its tongue out and wagging its tail happily, showing no sign of Tingdalous hunting dog’s ferocity.

It was Furry Bean who heard Zheng Qing call its name, so it left Tuan Tuan and that group of Getrassi and came from the corner space, looking loyal and committed.

”Furry Bean seems bored too.” Jiang Da Headmaster squatted down, petting the dog’s head while smiling and adding.

The dog’s tail wagged even more happily.

The other warlocks silently exchanged looks and winked at Zheng Qing.

The captain of Absolution Hunting Team sighed helplessly: ”Alright... Then Fat Man, you’re responsible for recalling Tuan Tuan, it probably also wants to nap back at the dormitory... Elder, reorganize the team, prepare to hunt that Banshee and those Getrassi.”

”Additionally!”

He slightly raised his voice, interrupting the slightly heated atmosphere, coldly laughing twice: ”Since everyone is so energetic, I’ll make a small (xiaoxiao) suggestion, this hunt must use the Second Rank formation.”

”I declare, I didn’t make this suggestion.” Xiao Xiao suddenly interrupted.

There was a moment of silence, then uproarious laughter, especially Xin Fat Man, he laughed until tears rolled down. Zheng Qing never knew the Fat Wizard had such a low laugh point.

Zhang Ji Xin tightened the glove on his hand, raised his arm, patted the young scholarship student’s shoulder, and praised: ”Good idea, how come I didn’t think of it... If we show the Second Rank formation in this year’s school hunt, it will definitely shock the audience. Winning the championship, others should not talk behind our back.”

He was confident.

Zheng Qing squinted his eyes looking at the Red-faced Male Wizard, feeling compared to the audience, Zhang Ji Xin seems more looking forward to seeing his brother’s surprised expression, or rather, defeating his brother’s hunting team in the field.

”As far as I know, no officially registered school hunting team has used the Second Rank formation.” Dylan was also excited: ”I seriously doubt how many people other than us have seen that kind of magic in school!”

The tone suggested others were country bumpkins.

But truthfully—with experience from the Black Prison battle and seeing the world—Mister Wolfman, facing the green school cucumbers, really could have enough superiority.

”I feel we should buy more of our hunting team’s chips this year.” Xin Fat Man’s thoughts were lively, already drifting to making money.

”As long as we keep the secret internally.” As last year’s school hunt betting Absolution’s biggest winner, Xiao Xiao had the most say: ”...And don’t reveal this trump card too early, or Sepulano’s outside betting odds will immediately lower.”

Zheng Qing swore, he absolutely didn’t expect the topic would divert to this extent.

”Hurry up! Arrange the team!”

The young scholarship student interrupted the heated discussion in the room, weakly shouting: ”If you chat a bit longer, that Banshee will be tired from crying and go back for beauty sleep!”
