High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1936: Chapter 157: Training Plan

Compared to Zhang Ji Xin and Xin Fat Man’s blatant ’rebellion’, Xiao Xiao’s ’gentle criticism’ seemed more severe, putting more pressure on the young cost student.

He coughed twice, his gaze wandering as he lingered at the dining table.

The fat wizard’s plate was empty, and the young cost student immediately warmly called over the serving elf to offer several more braised pig’s feet; the elders had finished their millet porridge, and the cost student quickly pushed the snow fungus soup next to them over.

Xiao Xiao put down the knife and fork in his hand, simultaneously stopping Zheng Qing from adding more food to his plate, indicating he was already full.

”Do you need me to twist this on site?” The captain of the Absolution Hunting Team cheerfully helped the diviner organize the plates and utensils, asking with a pleasant smile.

Xiao Xiao rolled his eyes and burped contentedly.

”No need, thank you.”

The short warlock sighed, feeling rather weary, took off his glasses, wiped the lenses, then put them back on and spoke again: ”...The elders have gone to find a venue for our recovery training.”

Zhang Ji Xin, who had just snatched a braised pig’s foot from Xin Fat Man’s bowl, while gnawing on a bone, nodded, mouth full of oil and making unintelligible noises.

”Recovery... training?”

Zheng Qing repeated this easy-to-understand term, hesitated for a moment, and finally cautiously raised his doubts: ”I remember we had previously agreed that this time the hunting team would hold a summary meeting, review the experiences of the Black Prison and trial meeting... Do we still need to train?”

The last question he asked with an air of confidence, his voice even raising a little.

Xiao Xiao looked at the warlock as if he were an idiot: ”Reviewing is reviewing, recovery training is recovery training. Experience is assimilated into resources through constant practice... Thinking understanding can come from merely writing and drawing on parchment to truly grasp our experiences on the Black Prison battlefield is wishful thinking.”

”Then when do we go for that, recovery training?” Zheng Qing thought of the pile of homework he had accumulated after two classes during the day, and still held a bit of hope in his heart.

”At night, after nine o’clock.”

The Absolution’s diviner had obviously planned everything well, his hand touching water, sketching a few strokes on the tabletop: ”You participated in Lin Zhong Lake’s nighttime patrol almost all of last year and did not impact your homework and studies, so I believe scheduling recovery training at night is very reasonable... And it can also enhance our hunting team’s nighttime combat capability, to some extent compensating for our weaknesses...”

As he said this, he turned his head, his gaze sternly towards the elders and fat wizard, adding: ”Regarding this arrangement, the other members of the team also agree.”

Zhang Ji Xin and Xin nodded hastily in agreement.

”I want to get more sleep at night!”

Zheng Qing silently wailed, his lips moving for a moment, ultimately lowering his head in resignation, dejectedly accepting the diviner’s plan.

”Where is the training venue?” the young cost student murmured.

”My brother spared one, a half-abandoned small hunting ground.” Zhang Ji Xin tossed the gnawed bone aside, wiped his hand and mouth, retaining an air of modesty: ”Heard it was used by the Judgment Hunting Team for training before... The school is planning to renovate, and during these few months of vacancy, we’ve caught the timing.”

”You mean, that hunting ground is only used by our hunting team?” Zheng Qing raised his eyebrows in surprise: ”Then what about costs? How are the expenses calculated? The shop needs to stock up for the peak season of Moon Hunting sales, which will occupy quite a bit of fluid funds!”

Finding a venue to train at any time before the school hunting party starts is truly not easy—even if it’s just a half-abandoned small hunting ground.

”How fresh!” The red-faced male wizard rubbed his nose and lifted his chin: ”If I went to so much trouble to find a hunting ground only to squeeze in with other hunting teams, schedule time, and pay money, then what’s the point of finding my brother?”

This statement sounded invigorating.

”Thanks, thanks!” The captain of the Absolution Hunting Team beamed with smiles, grabbing Zhang Ji Xin’s hand vigorously: ”Everyone will not forget your contribution...”

”Contribution can hardly be called that.” Zhang Ji Xin forcefully withdrew his hand, scratched his head, showing a faint awkward smile: ”Only one thing... When my brother allocated the hunting ground to me, he mentioned we shouldn’t destroy it... Said it’s the school’s property, and destroying it would result in penalties.”

”How could that happen!”

Zheng Qing swore, patting his chest: ”Nothing unexpected will happen! Besides, we’re just doing some simple hunting team training, how could we destroy the hunting ground?”

As soon as he said this, the other three male wizards around the dining table all coincidentally glanced at him.

”I don’t have that much confidence.” Xin Fat Man mumbled, burping: ”Burp... I just know that following Mr. Zha, we always encounter all sorts of unfortunate events.”

”Like almost killing Augustus with one shot.” Xiao Xiao nodded.

”Didn’t the Hunting Committee prohibit me from using the charm gun?” Zheng Qing felt a little irritated; these guys chant about this matter every day, did he want to give Sepulano a fatal shot back then?

”Or like the Black Prison Castle...” Zhang Ji Xin said with lingering fear, uneasily glancing at Zheng Qing’s hands, as if the young cost student would grab a flash of red and whack him on the head at any moment.

”I’ll emphasize it again,” Zheng Qing snarled, squeezing out words he had repeated countless times from between clenched teeth: ”It was really an accident!”

”Yes, yes, that’s exactly it.” The red-faced male wizard nodded repeatedly: ”That’s what my brother meant... Absolutely no accidents!”

Well, got entangled.

Zheng Qing glared at him irritably, pushed away the tableware in front of him, stood up, and urged: ”Finished eating? Hurry up and do your homework! Our hunting team still has training tonight!”

But at the same time, he thought of the little snake hiding in the ear and its ’demonstration’ in the ward, suddenly feeling a bit guilty.

”There aren’t any dangerous creatures in that half-abandoned hunting ground, right.” He looked at Zhang Ji Xin, his tone slightly more gentle.

”Dangerous creatures?”

Zhang Ji Xin paused for a few seconds, frowned: ”In theory, there shouldn’t be any... My brother told me the biggest prey in that hunting ground is a group of Getrassi, we won’t encounter any magical creatures more dangerous than them.”

”What Get?” Zheng Qing didn’t catch that strange name.

”Getrassi, a magical creature native to Northern England, probably near Lincoln County and Yorkshire.” Doctor Xiao naturally joined the conversation: ”It’s a dark creature, whose appearance resembles a dog, with a forked tail, pale skin, and fur, fast and dangerous... I’ve always felt it has some sort of blood relation with a swallowtail dog.”

”Just because of its forked tail?”

”Obviously.”

”So, the most dangerous thing in that hunting ground is a group of dogs, right.” Zheng Qing seemed to be cheering himself up, nodded: ”When we train, we’ll bring Furry Bean... It carries the bloodline of the Tingdalous hunting dog, naturally having a certain suppression on ordinary canine magical creatures!”

”I think bringing Tuan Tuan is more reliable than bringing Furry Bean.” Xiao Xiao adjusted his glasses, offering his own suggestion: ”I really suspect that dog might be playing with those Getrassi.”
