Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 444: Chapter 242: I Can’t Live Without You (Third Update)

”Wow! Kenneth, you’re so generous! I love it!” Lawrence Winters’ eyes sparkled as he made a heart gesture with his hands and winked at him.

The chandelier in Lawrence Winters’ bedroom was a custom-made crystal light from overseas, but even its thousands of shining refracted lights couldn’t compare to the brilliance of her eyes.

Kenneth Osborne was filled with endless expectations for life after the New Year.

...

That night, some were joyful, while others were troubled.

By almost ten o’clock in the evening, Kenneth Osborne received a call from his parents, saying they had already arrived in City Z and had taken a taxi all the way to the address Kenneth had given them.

At that moment, Kenneth’s mom had just arrived at the iron gate entrance of Brooke Osborne’s large mansion.

She stood there, mouth agape, seeing the large iron gate under the street light, and asked in shock, ”...Is this Brooke and Mr. Spencer’s house?”

Kenneth’s dad glanced at the WeChat message Kenneth had sent them and said, ”Apparently not. This house was a gift from Mr. Spencer to Brooke, as she gave him a son.”

”What?! It’s for Brooke! Such a big yard! Oh my goodness! This is way bigger than any luxury apartment in the Capital City! No way! We must live here! We can’t go to the Capital City!” Kenneth’s mom instantly made up her mind.

For her, a large villa with a big yard in the suburbs of City Z was comparable to a courtyard house in the Capital City; how could a luxury apartment compare?

Kenneth’s dad was also very excited.

He had originally thought their house in River City was spacious enough, but compared to this, it was just the size of a gatehouse.

He murmured, ”Brooke has achieved so much, we’ll have to rely on her in our old age!”

”Indeed...” Kenneth’s mom even wiped her tears and said, ”I always thought daughters weren’t worth much, but it turns out having a beautiful daughter is the best!”

After wiping her tears, she proudly said, ”Brooke looks like me; if it weren’t for me, she wouldn’t be this beautiful!”

Kenneth’s dad snorted, ”Brooke clearly looks like me; only Kenneth looks a bit like you.”

With that, Kenneth’s mom suddenly fell silent.

After a while, she awkwardly said, ”Alright, let’s not talk about the past. We have both a son and a daughter now; what’s there to complain about? Both have turned out so well!”

In the blink of an eye, she became cheerful again and started ringing the doorbell.

A middle-aged woman dressed like a maid, in a white shirt and black pants, walked over from the garden path and asked, ”Excuse me, who are you looking for?”

Kenneth’s mom smiled and said, ”I’m Brooke’s mother, her biological mother! Brooke Osborne, your mistress!”

The maid was taken aback, ”You’re the mother of our fourth mistress?! Please, come in, come in!”

”Fourth mistress?” Kenneth’s mom immediately got angry, ”My daughter was properly married with a marriage certificate to your boss, not to be equated with those concubines! You must address her as Mrs. Spencer, the proper Mrs. Spencer!”

The maid was so flustered by Kenneth’s mom’s outburst, she could only nod incessantly, ”Yes, yes, Mrs. Spencer, you are Mrs. Spencer’s mother, please, come in, come in.”

Kenneth’s mom was quite satisfied after establishing dominance in the first encounter, happily pulling Kenneth’s dad through the iron gate.

Their hand luggage was left for the maid to bring in for them.

By this time, Brooke Osborne had already gone to bed with the child.

They were planning to attend the Spencer Group’s annual meeting the next day, and Cameron Spencer was also staying over, planning to leave together the next day.

After Kenneth’s dad and mom rang the doorbell, the house staff started coordinating.

Someone went to the entrance to open the door and, upon understanding it was Brooke Osborne’s biological parents, immediately called the main house.

The housekeeper at the main house immediately went to knock on Brooke Osborne’s bedroom door, telling her that her parents had arrived.

Brooke Osborne had just gone to sleep and hadn’t fallen asleep yet.

Upon hearing the housekeeper say her parents had arrived, she was shocked and quickly got out of bed, changed into her indoor loungewear, and opened the door to ask, ”Who? Who did you say is here?”

”Your parents, that’s what they said,” the housekeeper was somewhat bewildered, ”isn’t that the case?”

Brooke Osborne thought, she had clearly told them to book flights to the Capital City for tomorrow, so why did they suddenly come to City Z?

It’s a distance of thousands of kilometers north to south.

She also realized she hadn’t given them the address, so how did they find it?

Soon, she thought of Kenneth Osborne, thinking it must be Kenneth who gave her address to their parents.

Brooke Osborne tightened her robe and walked to the staircase, looking down.

Indeed, it was her parents.

Without any more hesitation, she quickly walked down the stairs and arrived at the living room, smiling as she said, ”Dad, Mom.”

Nearly a year had passed without seeing them, it was only in the past month, after Kenneth Osborne mediated, that Kenneth’s mom actively called Brooke, reducing some of the mother-daughter estrangement.

Now, Kenneth’s mom was not the same as before.

When she saw Brooke, it was like seeing a Living Bodhisattva; she held her hand and looked her over, saying, ”You’re looking good; I was worried you wouldn’t recover well during confinement and would lose weight. From the looks of it, Mr. Spencer takes good care of you, right?”

Brooke Osborne blushed a bit and gave a casual nod, asking, ”Weren’t you supposed to go to the Capital City for the New Year? Why did you suddenly come to City Z?”

”We discussed with Kenneth and thought it would be better to celebrate the New Year with you guys here,” Kenneth’s mom said with a straight face, ”Kenneth wanted us to go to the Capital City, but the two of us figured, your child is still small and not fit to fly, so we got the address from him and came directly here.”

Brooke Osborne didn’t know where Kenneth Osborne was staying, nor that Cameron Spencer had bought her a house in the Capital City, in the same community as Lawrence Winters’ family.

She assumed it was indeed Kenneth’s parents’ decision and didn’t suspect that Kenneth had fed them with false information.

Moreover, Kenneth’s parents’ reasoning was very convincing, and Brooke was genuinely concerned about the child, so she eagerly said, ”You have a point. Let’s wait until the child is a bit older before going to the Capital City.”

As she was speaking, Cameron Spencer’s voice came from upstairs, with a hint of coldness and undeniable authority, ”...I have a private jet, we can travel by private jet, no need to worry about the child suffering.”
