Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 415: Chapter 223: Stealing Him Away (First Update)

Since Arthur Johnson is a very famous top-tier celebrity, the fact that he was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment was quickly noticed by someone there and quietly leaked onto Weibo.

Edward Foster and Lawrence Winters tacitly agreed not to stop it.

In recent days, the buzz on Weibo reached new heights again due to Arthur Johnson’s hospitalization for stomach pumping amidst rumors of a suicide attempt.

This time, the matter turned into a ”life-and-death” situation.

Even though Arthur Johnson is a star, it is still a matter of life and death.

As long as they aren’t professional haters, ordinary bystanders will feel sympathetic.

However, at this moment, professional haters who dared to continue mocking Arthur Johnson for ”selling misery” sparked public outrage.

Each was beaten so badly by bystanders that they couldn’t even recognize their own mothers, running away with their tails between their legs, too scared to continue their attacks.

Lawrence Winters and Edward Foster also kept their silence, even as the media nearly blew up their phones with calls, they didn’t answer in tacit agreement.

Watching the bright red light at the entrance to the operating room, Edward Foster said blandly, ”I want to snatch away that charity film for Arthur Johnson.”

Lawrence Winters was slightly startled and shook his head, saying, ”Isn’t that a bit inappropriate? They already signed over there, how can you snatch it over?”

Moreover, Arthur Johnson’s reputation at present isn’t very good; the goodwill of the public hasn’t continued to decline, but it hasn’t improved much either.

”So what should we do?” Edward Foster seemed a bit irritable, ”Arthur Johnson too, he couldn’t handle even this little thing... Is a top-tier star that easy to be?”

Lawrence Winters calmly said, ”Young Mr. Foster, I don’t like what you’re saying. Everyone’s out here trying to make a living; it’s not easy for anyone. He’s a star, but he’s also human. If he remained indifferent after being attacked like this, he’d already have become too smooth to possess the aura needed for art.”

”Naturally, suicide is absolutely not advisable, an extreme measure.”

Edward Foster leaned against the wall outside the operating room with a difficult expression on his face, ”Summer Spencer’s intelligence is still online this time...”

She unexpectedly tricked him.

After a brief silence, Lawrence Winters spoke, ”If we want to help Arthur Johnson restore his reputation, first, a new contract must still be signed. If he agrees to sign, I have a way.”

”What way?” Edward Foster clenched his fist, ”Tell me, as long as I can do it, I’ll definitely follow your lead.”

Lawrence Winters pondered and said, ”I checked, the reason that charity organization’s short film is so sought after is because of the director.”

”You mean they invited the most famous director from abroad to make this charity short film?”

”Yes, you know who the director is.” Lawrence Winters smiled, ”And I found out that they actually haven’t signed with the director yet, just reached a verbal agreement...”

Edward Foster suddenly looked up, a corner of his lips curled mischievously, ”Got it... I’ll start preparing right now!”

He briskly walked off, using his connections to find that famous director abroad.

At that moment abroad, it was early morning, the famous director had just gotten up and received a call from an old friend.

After some small talk, he agreed to his old friend’s request to film a charity short for Blue Heavy Industries.

Because Blue Heavy Industries offered extremely good remuneration, the director signed an exclusive contract with them, disallowing him from filming similar nature charity shorts for others within a year.

And the direction of Blue Heavy Industries’ charity short was almost identical to that of the domestic charity organization.

Both called for attention to the rights of women and children in impoverished areas.

Edward Foster additionally paired the industry’s most famous leading actress Hannah Hill with Arthur Johnson to co-star.

At 9 PM, as the trending topic about Arthur Johnson’s ”suspected suicide” continued to escalate, Lawrence Winters’ official account from the PR department of NewHuman Entertainment Ltd. released a joint Weibo announcement with Blue Heavy Industries.

This time, they announced a new cooperation news.

”Blue Heavy Industries and NewHuman Corporation join forces to focus on the rights of women and children in impoverished areas, planning to launch the charity film ’We Have Not Forgotten’!”

”Starring: @Arthur Johnson, @Hannah Hill.”

”Director: Anthony Armstrong.”

This official announcement even caused more of a sensation than the previous rumor about Arthur Johnson’s ”suspected suicide.”

Many bystanders expressed confusion.

”Today’s gossip is too much, I’m overwhelmed.”

”Upstairs, +1. I don’t know what day it is now, my intelligence needs a recharge.”

”...I think, actually NewHuman Corporation hasn’t abandoned Arthur Johnson, and the relationship between Arthur Johnson and Lucas Harlow isn’t as bad as rumored...”

”Agree. Lucas Harlow is the heir to Blue Heavy Industries; does he need to step on others to make films? Look, doesn’t Blue Heavy Industries still invest in Arthur Johnson’s charity film?”
