Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 434: Chapter 237: The Proposal (First Update)

Lawrence Winters had just shared his first kiss with Kenneth Osborne last time, followed by several sneaky, teasing kisses that left a lingering sweetness.

This was technically their second proper deep kiss.

When it ended, both of their lips were a rosy red again.

Lawrence looked at Kenneth’s lips, thought of her own, and hurriedly pushed him away to check herself in the bathroom mirror.

As expected, her gloss was radiant, and her rosy cheeks blushed even deeper.

She cupped her cheeks with her hands, feeling a bit shy, but her heart was sweet with joy, trying to suppress a smile but couldn’t help it.

She lowered her head, trying to hide her amusement, but she couldn’t hold it in, and her lip corners curved upwards.

She peeked up quietly and saw Kenneth standing behind her, arms crossed, leaning against the bathroom door frame, his phoenix eyes gleaming like cold stars, fixedly watching her in the mirror.

When their gazes met in the mirror, his lips also curved into a smile.

Lawrence felt the entire bathroom filled with pink bubbles, harmoniously blending into the sharply contrasting black and white, masculine space.

She extended her finger towards the mirror, tracing the outline of Kenneth’s reflected face.

How could he be so handsome?

Lawrence’s heart was full of uncontrollable delight.

She wanted to run out and tell everyone: Look, such a handsome man, he’s mine! Mine!

Kenneth squinted, feeling the look Lawrence gave him in the mirror was somewhat off.

It wasn’t the look one gives a person, more like seeing... money, full of desire and possessiveness.

But then again, he thought, maybe he’s already on par with ”money” in her heart.

This was significant.

Has he already attained a place equal to ”money” in her heart?

Kenneth was secretly pleased; he couldn’t help but step forward, embracing Lawrence from behind, turning to kiss her lips.

Lawrence reached back with both arms, encircling his neck, also lost in the kiss.

This time, when they finished the kiss, their lips predictably swelled again.

Though slightly swollen, they noticeably protruded.

They still had to go out for dinner...

How to eat like this?

Especially with her uncle, mother, and grandaunt, Lawrence was too embarrassed to lift her head.

Kenneth also felt a bit awkward.

He hugged Lawrence, saying, ”Nora, it’s time for us to find a place and move out.”

Lawrence instinctively wanted to oppose, but then thought about situations like today.

So awkward, so embarrassing...

But she just wanted to be with him, to kiss and then cook together in the kitchen.

No worrying about being watched, no need to explain to anyone.

It would just be the two of them, having dinner, holding hands for a walk around the neighborhood, then bathing separately when they get back, and playing games together.

After tiring themselves out, they would go back to their respective rooms to sleep.

Just thinking about it felt incredibly delightful.

Lawrence pondered for a moment, softly murmured, ”Hmm,” and said, ”But my mom and uncle might not agree.”

”That’s why I need to earn more money quickly, at least enough for the down payment as soon as possible.” Kenneth patted her back, ”It won’t take long.”

Lawrence remembered Lucas Harlow’s upcoming fantasy drama, and suddenly asked, ”Kenneth, you’re in artificial intelligence, but can you handle special effects?”

”You mean computer effects?” Kenneth thought for a moment and said, ”Actually, artificial intelligence can be used in computer effects. However, the algorithms may differ from the ones we use now for robotic algorithms, leaning more towards the visual aspect, and the neural simulation system also differs greatly from that of robots.”

Lawrence: ”...”

It was one of those moments where every word made sense, but strung together, it was incomprehensible.

Lawrence chuckled, ”How about I ask the producer of that fantasy drama how they plan to bid for the effects? After they put forth their requirements, would you want to try bidding?”

Kenneth recalled that this was a project funded by Blue Heavy Industries to promote Lucas Harlow, their heir.

Even if he could do it, he wouldn’t want to.

No man would work under another who was eyeing his girlfriend.

He laughed, shaking his head, ”No need for that, I’ve got a few small projects lined up, and once completed, they’ll yield some bonuses.”

Seeing his lack of interest, Lawrence didn’t say much more.

After staying in the room for a while, waiting for their lips to return to a less obvious rosy swell, they left Kenneth’s room and went to the dining room outside.

As usual, dinner was prepared by the old Daoist.
