Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 443: Chapter 242: I Can’t Live Without You (Third Update)

Seeing Kenneth Osborne come in, Lawrence Winters finally got up from the floor, his face still a bit shy, as if he was embarrassed.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t dare look at her too much, just said to Gabrielle Winters, ”Aunt Gabrielle, I just gave Uncle Zhang and the old sage a heads up that the man my sister married bought her a house right here in our community.”

”My parents are already retired and plan to follow my sister to help her take care of the kids. They might come for a short stay in the future.” Kenneth Osborne said tactfully.

He was sure his parents wouldn’t want to stay in the Capital City long-term unless Cameron Spencer also moved there. Otherwise, they would never leave Brooke Osborne alone in the Capital City.

But a short stay is a different story.

When Cameron Spencer takes a break, who knows, he might bring the whole family to the Capital City...

Kenneth Osborne couldn’t dare say such a situation would never happen, so he gave a heads up in advance.

Gabrielle Winters had already heard from Lawrence Winters about Brooke Osborne and had privately marveled at it.

No matter what, marrying a man like Cameron Spencer, even if he’s decades older, was quite an achievement for Brooke.

Now hearing that Cameron Spencer actually bought Brooke a house in their neighborhood, Gabrielle Winters was also taken aback and asked subconsciously, ”How could that be such a coincidence?”

”I think it’s quite a coincidence too.” Kenneth Osborne smiled gracefully, ”But they will spend the New Year in the Southern Region this year, so I’m not going back to River City. My parents have all gone to my sister’s place.”

”Oh, you’re not going back? That’s great!” Lawrence Winters jumped up first, not hiding his joy.

Kenneth Osborne’s smile grew wider, and he looked at Gabrielle Winters and politely said, ”I just came here to tell Nora about this. I won’t disturb you any longer, I’m leaving now.”

”No problem, you can continue if you have more to say. I’ve said everything I needed to say. It’s even better if you’re not going back for New Year. I’ll discuss with Lawrence’s uncle about how we should prepare for New Year.” After she finished, Gabrielle Winters got up and left Lawrence Winters’ room, leaving it to Lawrence and Kenneth Osborne.

Lawrence Winters looked at Kenneth Osborne, rubbed his nose, and said embarrassedly, ”Well... I was just talking to my mom about some private women’s stuff.”

Kenneth Osborne was still standing at the door, hands in his pants pockets, smiling idly, ”You don’t have to tell me. I was just wondering, have you talked to your mom and uncle about living together with me after New Year?”

Lawrence Winters nodded, speaking very softly, ”I was just talking to my mom about it just now...”

”Oh? What did Aunt Gabrielle say?” Kenneth Osborne felt a bit nervous inside, his palms sweating, but on the surface, he still looked calm and composed, gentle as jade.

Lawrence Winters’ voice was even softer, ”...My mom said... she doesn’t oppose it... but we have to... have to take precautions... don’t cause any trouble...”

After saying that, he covered his face with his hand.

Kenneth Osborne was initially at a loss. After a while, each word Lawrence Winters said entered his heart.

From surprise to ecstasy, and then to disbelief.

His mood was like walking on a tightrope during a hurricane, swaying in the air, looking like it would break several times, but finding unexpected relief at critical moments.

Lawrence Winters saw that Kenneth Osborne hadn’t reacted at all, with his expression stiffened. He suspected that Kenneth was having second thoughts, and couldn’t help but put on a stern face, ”What’s wrong? You didn’t expect my mom to agree? Are you thinking it’s too easy to get me?”

Kenneth Osborne snapped back to reality with a shiver, hurriedly walking over and hugging Lawrence Winters, so excited that he almost stammered, ”No, no, I was just too excited, so excited that I didn’t know what to say. Nora, I’m really happy!”

He usually controlled his emotions well, but this time it was clear from his expression that he was genuinely overjoyed, unable to contain himself.

Lawrence Winters secretly breathed a sigh of relief, smiling with pursed lips, ”You know, you can still back out now. I’m not insisting on living together with you...”

”Hmm, you’re not irreplaceable for me, but you’re the only one I want.” Kenneth Osborne smiled, rubbing his forehead against hers, ”Alright, when do you want to move in after the New Year? Do you need help packing?”

”Packing? I’ll send some clothes over first. I want to keep my stuff here since I don’t want to move them.” Lawrence Winters said with a smile.

This is her home. Whether she marries Kenneth Osborne in the future or not, this will always be her home.

Lawrence Winters did not want to give up her final fortress at this time.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t have any objections, saying, ”Alright, alright, we’ll leave them. We’ll buy new ones. What brands do you like? Add them to your shopping cart, and I’ll clear it for you.”
